I hated him too. But I hated loads of players. Could listen to any of them now their not playing. Guess that's what it's like loving football. It's more than just a game.
He has every reason to be bitter about Ferguson. When Fergie was promoting his own book he was asked Who was the best United captain you managed? Everyone thought he would say ROY KEANE He said BRYAN ROBSON just to annoy Keane
Keano was the best United captain for me as much as I loved Bryan Robson Keano won it all. I love the guy to bits and he's always box office when he gets interviewed about his United days or his punditry work and he's right Sir Alex and the club could've done better by him when he left. I think he's as honest as the day is long and he was a tremendous servant to United.
Giggs grabbed cr7 in a hallway and shouted in his face for drinking soda. This kind of discipline helped them win titles. Before this, Keane would have been the tough leader. A team needs tough leaders to be successful. If they didn't want Keane, fine, but he was a strong leader.
Best thing about Keane-o is he makes it hard to be an idiot around him. Doesn't make it easy. Don't ask daft questions and hope he'll pick up your ball and run with it for you. Irony is the heading on this video -- "DESTROYS" and "EXPLOSIVE" -- is exactly the nonsense he's talking about.
The deeper reason Ferguson got rid of him was his age, if Roy was 2 years younger it would of been dealt with properly...but ferguson used the whole saga knowing Roy already gave his best days and used that interview as a way to get rid of him...also it sent a message to the other players.... it was Roy's age that was the common denominator
I’m a man city fan since 1981 as a kid . However I really like anything to do with Roy Keane . Fantastic player who had balls on the field , played a dam good brand of football and isn’t fooled by frauds in life who are all show and no go . Bottom line with Ferguson is that although he was a good manager Keane had his number and still does and guys like Ferguson like to use their influence against others when they get their panties up in a bunch . I would trust Keane long before I gave Ferguson anything .
Some pressmen said when Roy walked into a room during his playing years, the atmosphere would immediately change. Dangerous. A teetotal Roy is a good man.
He knows fergie was special but so was keane fergie remember he lead ur team onfield to success again n again u moulded it he drove the engine end off.
Very misunderstood man by some people, intelligent hard working loyal, stands up for what he believes in. Week lazy people who win nothing and accomplish nothing always talk and slag off people like Roy in all walks of life
Cannot fault Roy or Sir Alex for what they both brought to Man U. Both absolute legends for of that club. Would love to see a rapprochement between them but I won't hold my breath.
@@jamesfulton8251 how many billions exactly is that? - think you'll find its millions, which is a lot less than you suggest. And they made their own little bit of money to enable them to spend on some players actually, unlike some of the top sides today.
@@davidsmith6355 Manchester United were the only team what could spend money years ago don't start all this nonsense teams today spending this and that, everyone knows they only won so much because of their spending power, so don't start playing the poor me card ... United bought the league with the Billions they spent over 20 odd years and now most clubs can match them if not better them, this is why they are struggling today nobody really world class wants to go there anymore...it hurts but it is the truth...
Ferguson & Keane, two ultimate alpha males so it would be difficult to imagine them not having some major disagreements and differences of opinion. Both made exceptional contributions to Man Utd.
Ripped up his Celtic contract when he was injured and basically finished as a player could have sat back and took wages ( legally ) admired him for that.
This is getting old now how many times are we going to here about this story them man united days are long gone still one of the biggest clubs in the world I don't think so
This argument is tired. I see Roy’s point. But after Roy blew up at Fergie in the team meeting, Ferguson shut down and was done. So he wasn’t going to pull Roy aside and talk reasonably with him about retirement. I don’t think Roy understands that just because he can wake up after a blow up and show up the next day, not everyone can. Fergie was done. Did Fergie set him up with Saipan in the back of his mind? Unknown. I love Roy Keane, he’s my favorite player, but he has little insight into how Ferguson who supported him for 12 1/2 years was just finished. Roy is my favorite handful.❤
Ferguson was lucky it was perfect storm all those players together if ferguson managed for another hundred years they probably would not have the success. Ferguson left at just the right time.
Fergie loved the nonsense though. Seen an interview where he reckons he let Paul Ince go because Paul Ince called himself the ‘Guvner’. I very much doubt that was the reason.
I really wish that Keane had gone to a premiership club in 2005 for a couple of seasons, he would have had some interesting games back at Old Trafford. Maybe Newcastle or another northern club. I think it could have fuelled him for a couple of seasons. What a player he was though.
Bitter man is what comes to mind first when watching this one… He never (in my opinion) the right way about it… excellent player, no doubt! Just the bitterness and unfairness sometimes that took over.. 👍🏻
As a lifelong Man utd fan Roy Keane was a top class player but let,s be honest, a bit of a thug, his comments about his own team mates were disrespectful to say the least and although he played a part in United’s success that part was very small compared to Sir Alex, you were wrong, Alex Ferguson and United treated you exceptionally well, get over it.
Been following UTD for some time now and I don’t know any fans who have derogatory views on Keane…in fact he’s in most of their UTD all time 11. The guy was a warrior and served UTD better than most and the 2nd half against Juventus in the treble year is a microcosm of the absolute supreme ability he had on the pitch. And for all his faults he never brought on the club the kind of shame and stagnation that fergie has, from the fallout of his equine shenanigans. Thought he was being clever mixing with the big boys..,so they show him whose who and sell the club to the LEECHES. Now look at us…we are shit and he sits there taking his wage saying nothing.
@@archetypesmith9435..im a celtic fan ...but your comment absolutely spot on .....ferguson forget keane was his main man ,deserved far more from utd ,still clearly loves utd ,watched him OWN an old firm game when his body was finished, couldn't train at that time but was excellent to young lads at celtic.....ferguson a shark ....yes great manager but shat on keano
Keane is a huge Hypocrite, and he could not lie straight in bed , he has never got over the fact that he was over the hill at United his knee had gone, he wanted an open top bus just for Roy to parade him around Manchester when he was leaving, Alex Ferguson made Roy Keane, Alex is the greatest Manager in English football, his record will never be broken. Alex helped Keane when he went into Management, he loaned him good players, Jonny Evans was one such Player, true United fans will stand by Alex not the bitter twisted Keane, Keane was a great player, but he is a horrible man , he is not worthy of adulation the adulation reserved for United greats, he is not in the same league as Best, Law and Charlton or Robson and Cantona ., im a United fan for over 60 yrs .
Old news he hates Ferguson I remember he hated Neville, but Neville gave him a job now he likes Neville, he's a hypocrite our Roy it's his way or no way , Peter Pan never did anything wrong, cop on grow up
@@Guvna07 hated himself wen he was fucked out of management and no one wud go near him with a barge pole he licked Neville s arse for work, the same Roy Keane that said said he wud never do punditry, he's false yet it's everybody else's fault,
@@donaldvanvliet9039 Still a nightmare, for some reason people seem to hang on to every word.I met him once in Barbados and lets just say he was a nightmare and i say that lightly.
@@donaldvanvliet9039 Maybe but i am easy going but the way he spoke to me and my grandaughter was really not a nice thing,She even mentions it now still years later
