@@bluebxbbls4951 Trust me, it’s always greener on the other side! My hair is thin and straight as hell, and I cannot style it. Messy bun isn’t in my vocab, when I try it it looks like a tiny ass meatball on the top of my head. My hair breaks so easily sometimes I get clumps falling out in the shower. If I don’t wash it every day, it looks like I haven’t washed it for a week. Love yourself for what you have! I’m sure your hair is gorgeous.
I have 1A straight hair. Yours has slight waves after the shower and your ends curl a bit. Mine is allways straight, especially when just beeing washed and blowdried it doesn't have a single wave or kink. The edge is straight as well. Yours is not 1A.😅 Also low porosity hair feels very smooth. My hair is extremely smooth and soft. Gets oily fast. Most products leave built up. I just use a deep cleanse shampoo. I use moisture shampoo. Keratin products make it break and fall.😮 Repair products leave it flat and no volume. Volume products again give build up and I dislike them a lot. Most time I don't use conditioner. My hair doesn't tangle. I need to brush my hair like every 2 days... it doesn't tangle at all. Also stopped dying it, best descision for me.
I have hair just like yours, currently cut short. When I learned about porosity and realized I had never taken the steps to treat it right, I started some research and struggled to find routines for straight, thick hair. Thank you for this video! 💕
My hair spot on EXACTLY LIKE YOURS. Could you pls help find a good routine with good products? And every time I put my hair in a pony it looks like a fluff ball or a bun and irritates me and it gets tangled so easily
This is super interesting and helpful! I've had the straightest hair ever for my entire life and never knew how to look after it. Recently, I've been growing my hair out for the first time ever (I always used to cut it short so it wouldn't look so flat) and I've been trying to learn how to keep my hair as healthy as possible! My hair is incredibly incredibly fine, to the point where it's impossible to separate out strands and find any split ends to trim because my hair is very blonde and almost invisible as individual hairs. This makes me feel less alone with my super straight hair. I used to hate my hair because I felt like it was nowhere near as elegant or as pretty as curly or wavy hair, but seeing people like you with a similar hair type to me embracing their hair makes me realise how beautiful each person's hair is and how important it is to look after it!
Having 1a hair and four cowlicks is fun, believe me 😐 I do need to moisturize it more, as I'm showering and washing it twice a day because of working during this pandemic. The best thing for it has been henna and amla treatments which also made my scalp very healthy. Since my hair is naturally dirty blonde, a weekly apple cider vinegar soak (I leave it in about 10-15 minutes) gets the green stain from tap water out of it.
The way that you take care of your hair is so satisfying. My only concern is when you blow dried it. Holding the dryer below your hair and angling it up can blow your up into the other strands causing tangles. It’s better to angle the blow dryer down at your hair to prevent tangling when drying.
Hello I love your routine I have a very similar routine also in terms of how often I do treatments and washing. I wanted to let you know if you want to get rid of any oil from the hair mask in your hair there is a hack for that. Its to cover the oily strands with any conditioner first, it'll make washing the oil off a lot easier. I hope this helps.
Your hair is beautiful. I personally would cut off those bleached ends because it is definitely long enough now and your hair would look even MORE BEAUTIFUL 😍
I know this is an unpopular advice but I got great results drinking ginger + garlic + lemon everyday. It tastes eww but I loved the results :) Your skin improves its texture and the hair grows beautifully. I don't always comment but I wanted to say that I love you videos :3
@@alleyesonus4551 It's anti immflamatory, it makes you look less swollen. I don't use it to lose weight but it certaily makes me looks more slender since I don't have water retention like I used to.
@@alleyesonus4551 You just crush the garlic and the ginger, they blend together and finally add lemon juice, let it macerate 10 minutes. It goes well with tuna and sandwiches.
Hello! Thanks for the video. Like your hair, I am type 1A, however my hair is very fine. I worry about it getting oily with using all of the oil steps you use. Any advice?
I do warm chamomile tea rinse whenever i have an irritated scalp. I leave it on for a few minutes after shampoo and conditioning, and quickly rinse it off
I am 12,My hair is on my belly bottom and it’s healthy now cuz i got hilights and then dyed it back brown and this video is the reason why my hair is super soft and shiny and why in school people are asking me how I had really frizzy hair and now super long shiny and soft ,so thank you soo much keep working your magic .I use coconut oil mask on my hair once a week and I use the Shea moisture coconut oil shampoo and condiotioner it’s really good but I want to try the calia hydrating shampoo and conditioner.after the shower I use Shea moisture detangler and manuka honey and yogurt leave in
Ugh guess ill be using your hair tips im 13 and i have 2a/(1c in some parts) but its rlly frizzy in all of my hair but in my neck area its an 1c and rlly soft ugh
I'm curious about hair oil. What kind of oils do you use? Every time I've used coconut oil, no matter how little I put on my hands, it just makes my hair visibly oily. I have low porosity slightly wavy hair. It just seems like oil can't really absorb.
Coconut is too heavy for most low-po ladies like us. I only use oils 2-8 hours before I wash my hair. Try jojoba, grapeseed, hemp, rosehip or sesame. It’s just trial and error with different oils. Don’t give up :).
@@laurenhall268 thanks, I got a Hask Argan oil leav in spray that works pretty well. Not a “wow” for me, but it’s way better. I’m going to experiment more with jojoba oil as well.
Nice clear video! I also have bleached ends. I was wondering what to do ... Do a little cut every 2 months or 10 cm once a year? Can't wait to get rid of it.
Yeah, I have classic 1a hair and it's impossibly fine. Thankfully, my hair has always been abundant and healthy so it's able to be very chunky in plaits etc. but I have to wash my hair once every other day, or every three days if I'm lucky, because it just gets so oily so quickly! Always has done.
I started using some castor oil I had in the cupboard on my scalp. WOW. What a difference. Now I just use apricot kernel oil that I use for the rest of my body. But seriously, what a difference. My hair used to be greasy near the end of day so I'd have to wash every day. Now I don't have to. I feel so silly that I never treated my scalp with the same care as I do my face. You should check out Shea Moisture's Jamaican Castor Oil hair mask. You can get it at Shopper's. I have fine 2A-3A hair depending on how I treat it.
I just bought castor oil a couple of weeks ago to use on my lashes lol! I was also thinking of massaging it onto my scalp an hour or so on wash day. I was also looking at the Shea Moisture Hair Masks today as well! Not stocked on Shopper's Drug Mart Website, but I'm wondering to just order directly from Shea Moisture
@@michxmash I bought castor oil for my eyelashes too... it did not work out... My smaller Shopper's has Shea Moisture in physical stock so if you do venture out, a local store may have it. I wash my hair with Oneka sage & cedar which I find gets the oil out without stripping (and I'm okay with a bit of oil left over), condition and wash out and then run some of the Shea Moisture mask in and leave it. I've found that works best for me. I tried doing oil like you do with your ends, but it doesn't work for my hair type. I'm also curious and may try The Ordinary's hair serum.
@@pirhan I've accepted my ends are beyond help at this point because those tips are a result of 3 bleach sessions lol. I may venture out soon to SDM so hopefully I see it in stock there. I've used castor oil for only 2 weeks on my lashes, but I have noticed they have a bit more of a curl to them. I'm aiming for Jennifer Myers lashes so it's gonna be a long ride lol
I absolutely love Castor oil for my hair. I used it years ago and I’ve reinstated it into my hair care routine since I’ve decided to grow it. It is thick so I mix it w/ grape seed oil & only apply it to my scalp 1x2 a week
U have high porosity. Low porosity mean your hair cannot take in/absorb water so easily. If u actually had low porosity your hair wouldn’t have gotten wet so easily.
Huh! I suppose I have high porosity as well! Does high porosity also cause oiliness to get bad quicker? My hair is 1A and god forbid I skip one day of hair washing.
Hello! first of all my English is not perfect so excuse me if I have mistakes. This has nothing to do with this video's content but I'd like to know how is your skin now, after using the banisher 2.0 you talked about a time ago. In an old video you said you only used it four times, and the results were very impressive, so I'd like to know if the acne scars finally fade out after using for months, as I suppose you did. I'm considering buying it but I'm not very sure so I'd like to know your final verdict about it, like an update. Do you recommend it for deep scars? most of the 'before and after' pics I see only show the result on hyperpigmented skin, but my problem is the texture, and I don't know if banish really helps with that.. Thank you very much! pd: I really like your channel!! you have the best and honestest reviews. That's why I want your personal opinion
Thank you for watching! My scars are in no way completely gone, but they definitely do not bother me as much as they used to. I had to stop because my acne was coming back and I wanted to have it under control before microneedling again. Also I wanted to see how much Differin would make a difference in my scars. I have a few noticeably deep scars on my face and while inspecting they do look smaller in size, but I also have only microneedled a total of 7 times (including back when I reviewed the Banish kit). However I don't think a short period of time of at-home microneedling with 0.5mm will rid my face of them completely. I've watched Dr. Davin Lim's videos about it, and spoke to my derm. Basically, at-home microneedling definitely helps improve the texture, but for significant result you have to get a professional treatment done. The Banisher 1 and 2 use 0.5mm needles and that's what I'm personally comfortable with, but for atrophic scars like mine I would have to go higher. In that case, I would go see a professional. Whether or not you should buy it, it's up to you. I have looked on eBay, Amazon, Sephora for the possible alternatives (as a Canadian) but the more I microneedle, the more cautious I become. I like that Banish has a QA process inspecting the needles before selling them, also the Banisher 2.0 gives me 8 uses rather than 4 from a roller. I'm also scared to go past a 0.5mm length in general lol. In my experience I like a stamp more, for me it seems safer to use and less likelyhood of scarring from the treatment. Before buying Banish, I'd look at your local retailers first to see if they have a similar QA process for inspecting the tools, the quality and material of the needle, and their price points (it's always good to support local), but otherwise I like using the Banisher 2.0 and would have bought it anyways if they had not reached out to me first. They also have B/As on their website of atrophic scars as well. Hope that helps, good luck!
@@michxmash well my scars are not soooo much deep, so I'll give it a try and use it at least 8 times, let's see how my skin responds to it... And I forgot to ask, can you use it twice a week? could it be dangerous? thank you so much! this was very helpful ☺️
@@Eu-dk8pt there are directions for how often to use it on the website. I don't use it more than once a month to avoid excessive trauma to the skin. I actually noticed some hypopigmentation on my face, probably from overuse of the roller so I'm cautious and already have a ton of patience for this process lol
I cannot figure out what porosity my hair is!! But I do think I will be buying the Calia and Innate Life products. My hair is really super thick / coarse but each strand definitely breaks way more easily than a couple years ago when I was younger
Why don't you switch the off the shower while applying the shampoo and conditioner? The water is getting wasted, so switch them on only when you're going to rinse your hair or body, save water save earth 🙂
I'm not about to be that cold. I'm cold 90% of the time and I will not be doing that in the shower too. That is the only time I actually feel warm so no absolutely not.
I wish I had your hair LOL. My hair is 1A and so thin it looks like all my hair is about a fourth of yours! :( The grass is always greener I suppose. 🫠 I cannot style it, I don’t have enough hair to even try!
