does anyone else get really irritable coming off it like i don’t want to be around anyone or talk and i end up staying up, zoning out, and not wanting to do anything, not even watch tv
When it wears of for me at work, it's the worst! I literally try to force myself to talk about something and it feels impossible. Then I just hope they'll understand till I feel better again..
It makes me feel a little bit better that so many other people have the same problem I do! The video plus the comment section helped me out so so much!
My worst side affect is when my adderall is wearing off, my mind starts racing about things that i don’t want to happen. Like something happening to my dog, or my parents even though everything is okay. Then i just feel deeply depressed. I think i need to go back on the dosage or ween onto something milder?
Thank you. I thought I was literally the only person who had that. I would drink caffeine usually in the middle of the Adderall xr it kind of just made it worse. I'm literally kind of feeling it literally right now that's why I'm researching how to help the crash overall.
I've often found magnesium taken regularly to help a lot at night. Any tremors, shakes, twitching, etc. that come about from nighttime medication administration.
💯 on the magnesium!!! L-Tyrosine works even better when taken during the afternoon along with a multivitamin and most importantly... getting some food in you even if you have to force yourself to eat. Literally night/day difference!
@Briana Ankels I recommend using magnesium glycinate (best for price / efficiency) . Many of the other forms have low bioavailability and some a potent laxative effect if the dose is high enough. 1000mg glycinate morning empty stomach if you can tolerate it, 1000mg 2 hours before bed (maybe 1 hour after dinner)
For any other crash headache / migraine sufferers, my doc gave me the weirdest tip: to drink ORS (oral rehydration solution). Yes, normally used for dehydration during diarrhea, but apparently also when taking ADHD pills. At times this works great to releave my migraine.
when ever I notice my comedowns are getting bad I just take a break for a week or two, sometimes three and then the next time I take it it feels normal again and the comedown is actually somewhat relaxing to an extent and I just kinda chill out for the rest of the day.
Something else that is helpful to consider that he did not really delve into- caffeine. I noticed how you drink caffeine can radically change the crash. If you're caffeine sensitive, avoid caffeine at all costs. It will make it 10x worse. But if you are not caffeine sensitive, I noticed timing caffeine with about an hour before your med crash starts works perfectly. I would also say avoid taking caffeine for the first few hours after you have taken your meds, as I have noticed this can also make it worse. Basically, target most of your caffeine later in the day rather than earlier, works perfect as long as you don't drink too much.
Good advice mate, thanks. I've found any caffeine at all seems to mess me up whilst on Tyvense. The 2 hours before bed aren't great, i do take phenergan and Valerian tea to try bring about a natural tiredness
I have had a similar experience. Whenever I take caffeine (even just tea) it softens the blow significantly. I have almost no crash now. Or at least I don’t crash until ~10pm when I’m already heading to bed anyway. However, if I take too much caffeine; let’s say espresso shots, then I can’t sleep at all until like 2am.
Thanks so much for this, I am going to start not having my coffee until a few hours after I have taken my meds in the morning. I am going to check back in here with the results as well. Thanks for sharing this,
@@fromthedepthsofdarkness How did it go with delaying coffee for a few hours? I can't seem to do that yet without triggering a migraine so I would love to find out how to delay it without the caffeine withdrawal.
Great video once again, Thanks a lot for this support and shared experience. although I disagree about having food so often. For me fasting and A LOT of green tea works better on my off- days. And thought my experience with methylphendidate made my head an anxious & raging mess 24/7, switching to elvanse 30 3 y ago made my life finally worth living. I’ve never experienced a crush with this med & dosage. Have been on same dosage fo 3 years and no need to level up that one. BUT - I never expected that treatment make me a superwoman or gong to get some extra degrees or running three obs at once. I just wanted to manage the basic family life and every now and than being on time. The main reason to start taking meds was my son (and family life in general). I just wanted to save him from hearing me screaming and being anxious, late, fired etc. After been raised by ADHD father, you really will do anything to stop that risky and traumatising experience from spreading any further.
This is my first week taking ADHD medication. Wow I feel good on the meds! Like crazy good. Problem is, when it wears off I feel worse than before I ever tried the medications. Also I haven't cried for a long time.... but I've nearly cried twice this week while going for a walk at night... wtf It's like I'm going on a bender every single day and coming down every single day. I think I'd rather just live like the old way I used to
You're only a few weeks in. Don't get entrenched, just quit. ADHD isn't a real disorder, they don't do any biological testing. Definitely you probably lack focus, like majority of people. You can overcome this lack of focus, by practicing focusing. Just practice, and develop your thinking and focusing skills. Over time you'll get way better at focusing.
Your dose may be too high or you may need a non stimulant. Either way from the time of posting it looks like it’s been a month so just enough time for you to speak with your health care professional and find a better solution for your needs. It’s a bit of trial and error at first, but once you get it right it’s worth it. Also, take regular med holiday breaks. I.e. don’t dose on weekends or whenever your days off are it helps the body reset. And lastly look into natural supplements like magnesium idk how it helps but it does. Hornbeam is a Bach Flower Essence Remedy and Ashwaghanda is a natural adaptagen. Both can be found at your local vitamin store. Try those when you’re on a med holiday and see if that helps.
@@Zayden. that response shows a lack of compassion. There’s not a biological test for depression either. What? We just gonna tell people to stop being sad. Just be happy and you won’t be sad anymore. 🤦🏽♀️
@@Zayden. What med school you qualify from bro? 😯. Man I wish we could switch brain chemistry's so you can understand how difficult life is, guarantee you would kill yourself in a week. Meds allow me to physically function daily, and without them I would be dead. Also, why you click on an adhd video then? Just to comment that?? 😅 get a life bro
having a really bad crash today. realised that all of your points I'm doing the opposite of. I got bad sleep. I wasn't eating enough. I wasn't drinking enough water. and I haven't had my meds today. honestly, I've never felt so incapable of functioning. thanks this helps a lot... i just need to take care of myself
While I firmly agree (Newton’s 3rd law) there cheating your brain... however supplementing with L-Tyrosine/Magnesium and a multivitamin works wonders taken in the right combination. It’s a night and day difference especially with L-Tyrosine!!!
I basically force myself to eat and drink when I crash, or I take a 15 min nap. It helps, but only the nap solves it. To me it feels like the crash comes before the meds wear off. which is really weird :0 Also, anyone feel an extreme craving for sweets on break days?
@@Doors_of_januaI seriously doubt that. When I was quitting nicotine, my doctor said I would be craving sweets more often because sweets actually release endorphins in the brain, similar to drugs, and you can help relieve some of the cravings and depressed feelings
What do you mean by break days? I wonder if having a break on the weekends from my meds, from taking them all week would help. The Foquest I am on which is a long lasting one has some wild effects when I come off them. I become very irritable.
It’s a fight every month in ny state to get my meds. It’s like being on probation. Urines every month to get meds. And never enough. I’m 60. Since being on addarall I haven’t been arrested in 15 yrs. I’m not a raging drunk or cocaine freak anymore. All which was shoved down my throat in rehabs. That that was my problem. I finally get a proper diagnosis that works and has substantialy changed my life. And I have to fight tooth 🦷 and nail to get my meds. Every month. As many of you know the anxiety 😟 of runnin ing out starts the last week before refill. WTF! If you were a diabetic you wouldn’t be denied insulin. Any ways just ranting. Mental Illness is still a major Stigma!
Poop often. The body spends an absurd amount of energy keeping full intestines warm and its content passable. So if your poop schedule is impacted by stimulants, help it along and don't procrastinate when your butt tells you its time to go. It helps me a lot with energy levels in regards to reducing the frequency of severe tiredness when Ritalin wears off. Go even when you don't feel the need, as you might get surprised. :D
I'm tryna take a week of concerta since they shut many jobs down In california dont needa take it hope my tolerance goes down :) god bless bro thanks for info and keep at it
i really appreciate uou talking about all this. i have found thar i have to really keep up iron and protein in my system, else the crash can feel like i am dying.
Ive just started on the lowest dose. I need to take 2 every 6 hours. The key is to avoid that roller coaster effect of the meds wearing off. Need to find a nice balance
Yeah I take concerta for adhd lol. It’s so horrible lol when it wears off I feel so sad and feel like I’m horrible at everything. But the next day I feel completely ok and normal. But I also can’t sleep when I crash lol. I’ve kinda stopped taking it and am kinda scared to start it again. I’ll feel like super happy during the middle of the medicines effects. But it completely does the opposite while crashing. Any tips lol? I’m 13 and take 27m a day at morning. I’m thinking I should ask my doctor for a lower dose. I’m seeing him in 3 days
I had concerta for the first time today and now it has worn off I am very tired and a bit dizzy, is that something you’ve experienced? Although, my heart feels calm. Which it actually usually doesn’t which is NICE buT I’m worried it shouldn’t be feeling like that. I’m also more anxious. Is that also normal?
Problem is when it wears off dealing with outside of work people begins. A day of physical activity may amplify irritability, in my case. I will try supplementing with a power bar, or diet soda. (Dislike getting used to caffeine.)
Been on 54mg Concerta extended release for 2 months now. For me it works for about 10 hours and then I get increasingly sleepy in a normal way with no crash. Just putting it out there, different people react in different ways.
I had concerta for the first time today and I don’t know if what I have now is a crash but I have a headache, I am very tired and a little bit dizzy, I just feel a bit. Splat. But hey, it did seem to help me a bit, I actually think I need a slightly higher dose but that will be tested next week as I am trying 18mg now, then 36 I think I’m bad at maths, and then 3x 18mg I can’t be bothered to work it out rn. But yeah. It’s crazy how easy sweeping my floor and putting things away was when it was working. I still had to push myself for a while to do some of the things but they did get done as opposed to the usual they didn’t.
Can agree with small and nourishing food all-through the day. I know it´s not clinical, but ayurvedic lifestyle helped tremendously in my ADHD journey. In fact, they place the ADD mind as an imbalance in your air/vata. And when it comes to meals, they recommend multiple light and nourishing foods through the day, instead of gigantic meals that stress the digestive system, and therefore the mind. Found it really helpful, as big meals make me crash and mentally space out. These days, one hour before the Concerta crash, i´ve been taking low-glucemic cooked fruits with nuts and ghee. The sustained glucose of the fruits and the protein from the almonds and cajus keep me light yet energetic for two hours, so the concerta falloff is much smoother, almost goes unnoticed. Hope it helps. Also. i know it is painful, but living caffeine free for years made an abysmal difference. Replaced coffee with just hydration and electrolytes. Cold showers also are a great resource.
I'm on dexamfetamine, and prescribed to take 3 pills a day for 5 days and 2 days off every week. The day I don't take the Dex it is horrendous, I just become a slug and not want to move or be productive. Body clock is wonky and can never rest have a decent sleep. Though my water intake has gone through the roof since taking the meds. I also stopped drinking coffee before I started my meds too. I found my main problems are behaviour than anything. As you can take a pill to help relieve the ADHD with how your brain functions, but it isn't goin to do your uni work haha
@Stu yeh bro I ended up stopping meds all together. Wasent worth it in the end. Why should I have to feel like shit to make other people happy. Live youre life, be who you want to be and dont mask out youre true personality because you don't "fit in" with the other people. Yes I have adhd, yes I am hyperactive and hes I stand out amongst the crowd, but I will not surrender who I truly am just to make other happy. God bless you I hope you find the solution you are looking for.
What if you get a crash at the BEGINNING of the day a few hours after taking it? It actually feels quite good, just want to lay in bed and listen to Beck.
Great video! Thank you for making it! I was just recently diagnosed with ADHD and I'm 30. And I always had troubles falling asleep and when I do , I see hundreds 💯 off dreams 🙃 like my brain 🧠 even more active at night. I WAKE UP during the night 🌙 as well 😒 and than having troubles go back to sleep. Aspacially after i started my adhd medications 💊 some nights i didn't get to sleep at all, even though I'm so sleepy. It's so exhausting 😩. By the way what's the name of this soundtrack 🎵 you have on a background? I love it 😍 Update: turned out i can sleep like a baby on stimulants. The reason why i had trouble at night coz my meds wears off (i took in in the morning) When meds are active i sleep so well. So i don't take them in the morning. I do afternoons and sometimes evenings. Also i found that magnesium and L-theanine are goood for night sleep
Thank you so much for this video. My practitioner didn't think that this was a normal thing and I've had to figure this out myself :/ my body goes through adderall quicker than expected so XR is gone in 4-5 hours but I can't take more cuz I would never sleep
This is my exact situation! After 5 hours, the crash sets in. It's horrible because I have the will/drive to keep going but the crash makes it impossible sometimes. I'm going to try the half dosage in the morning and half in the afternoon and try to spread them out. I also started fasting in the mornings and I've found that actually helps the effects last longer because I guess my body isn't processing any food (just water and tea). Good luck!
L agranine causes vasodialation. On the other hand stimulant adhd medications cause vasoconstriction. I done no reascherch on this combo. But it seems like the substances would be "fighting each other". Idk this is me guessing. Like I said I did no reascherch into this combo. Nor am I a medical proffessional... obviously....my shrek picture alone would hint I'm not a medical proffessional.
@@shsh-hv9dg I think I’m small doses it can provide a much needed balance. Overdoing something is always a bad idea, but in small increments it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s important to supplement because with the processing of the foods we eat these days makes our food have very little nutritional value and it’s pretty difficult for the average joe to get the vitamins he needs unless his diet is superb. A multivitamin is a must for me… I feel terrible if I don’t take them
5 hour energy helps with the crash. I take Vyvanse (Elevanse) 70mg a day. In college I was prescribed 2 adderall 20mg instants to stave off the crash. But when I crashed....DONEZO
I combat any sort of crash with prescribed Valium and/or lyrica and medicinal marijuana. Another thing I've done to combat the crash is switching from nasty Ritalin to focalin, which is pretty awesome.
One thing you didn’t mention is drug holidays . You will get to a stage when medications stop being effective at that point you have to take 3 days off nothing at all
I recently decided to drop adderall and take just Vyvanse cuz addy was causing me to hyper focus so hard that I literally was neglecting EVERYTHING else in my life. It’s not the first time I’ve been off adderal for a small time period, but I never get used to this shit. It feels like my brain has literally soured and wants to vomit, but it doesn’t have a stomach.
What happens when the first couple of weeks it works great as if it’s supposed to then suddenly one day take it as normal and it makes me extremely tired like taking a couple Benadryl? I’ve been taking my medication for over a year maybe only a few times this has happened to me but the last time for several days it’s made me extremely tired, foggy headed and fatigued. So weird and frustrating
I’ve gone through crashes and withdrawal numerous times. Each time, it seems impossible because that’s what the brain thinks. And not gonna lie, the first bunch of times are rough and the majority of the withdrawal symptoms proceed for a few days. After about 3 days, when the meds are out of your bloodstream, the physical withdrawal symptoms mostly go away. However, after going through this so many times, you can get used to it and it’s not as bad, you eventually start to have natural energy return. At first i remember I was bed ridden and I thought I can’t function without it… but turns out each time, after a few days of being off it, your body actually starts feeling healthier and happier
@@AATWProductions no. I am struggling with addiction. It’s so bad that I only so far managed just to put actual meth down… I am stuck in a loop that only seems to get worse and worse. I keep lying to doctors and everyone to feed my addiction and I fucking hate it. My tolerance to vyvanse is unbelievable… Been on it for 4 years now. 50mg then 30mg for abit then up to 70mg weekdays 50mg weekends and now weekly refills I get more than I should be I somehow have managed to get a valid prescription for 120mg daily with instructions to do the previous stated. I get 7x70mg for weekdays (it’s often 40+30mg capsules 7 of each) and somehow 7x 50mg for the weekend Im lying saying that I’m “saving” them and you would think this would be more than enough for a normal person right? I get weekly refills on mondays of basically 3 scripts 3 weeks worth of meds for a normal person… nah… I’d be lucky if I can make it last till the weekend… Fridays and or Saturdays are usually when im coming down so hard of hardly sleeping and doing literal bullshit all night long… but it helps me for work and allows me to go at my ideal pace… This is what a normal weekday looks like: 6:30am 120 or 170mg (usually 170 except fridays im lucky if I have just 70mg leftover) and when I finish work I know it’s bad but I take another 40mg or 30mg. Rarely I’ll redose twice I can do work without meds as u can imagine by now I’ve had multiple experiences with acute withdrawals n going sometime without it out of pure laziness and a self preserving instinct to just let my body recover some more before binging again… I can do my work but the days are so long and im so tired and don’t wanna do anything. Even everyone at work asks me days im not on meds (mondays at work im not on meds) they ask me “bro are you okay? You look dead” lolll I notice even with my tolerance just a 70mg will do the job just fine. It gives me the stimulation and attention for about 8 hours but after im just sleeping like a baby lol. I just like to feel high off the amphetamines but this isn’t the intent of the medication. I redose just out of pure fear of facing the withdrawal and crash. It’s not that bad physically speaking aside from sleeping for 16 hours and eating out ur entire fridge lol and depression but for me around hour 10 - 12 just before the actual crash I get horrible depression and the accumulation of negative thoughts I was escaping till this point just come back like a freight train. I don’t feel like myself off meds. Even 4 month break I kinda felt the same emotionally throughout if anything it got worse Idk what to do. Even opening my mouth tk a healthcare professional will have dramatic repercussions not only for all my relationships but also work. I can’t just one day show up doing a half ass job with no motivation like I had I’m debating going back to meth just to be there as a person to my family on the weekends. At least when I’m high I act like the best version of myself and give everyone my full attention and presence I need help. I don’t expect you to know how to help me, but rather take this into perspective on how addictive these substances can be. I never taken adderall or anything bdfore vyvanse and was lied to by false marketing stating vyvanse is “less addictive” man I’ll fucking wipe my ass with that label considering it’s literally dictating my life currently. As stated in the Netflix original “Take Your Pills” some doctor said currently we are facing an epidemic with the opioid crisis but not far just below that list, the next “crisis” will be with stimulant medication because it is currently being massively overprescribed “One drug to change your life in exchange for it all” Man I don’t know what the future holds. I’m probably gonna die a young death I hope I do at least… After knowing amphetamines flood the brain with such an unnatural level of dopamine and nothing else in life literally would ever come close, and also knowing dopamine is what controls a huge part of our actions and feelings, knowing that recovered addicts decades after still never feel as happy as they once did …. An early death would be a happy death for me. I don’t want to carry on just to be tortured
Even if you lower your dose it makes no difference in conclusion youll still crash. Its just like mdma or ecstasy or cocaine or any stimulants you are bound to crash its just the consequence of taking meds. They do say on research that benzos are effective for the crash to sleep better and less anxiety.
So whats the damn point for taking it. To be hooked on benzos also. Yeah crashing feeling more depressed thats what i need doctors thanx . Glad i am out of this shithole world soon
@@AverageJoe1006 Everything okay? Sounded like you are in a bad place 😢 is it because of the frustration of having debilitating ADHD? I’d love to know as I’m also feeling trapped
Just started Xaggitin XL and I’m on my second day from one dose, I haven’t crashed but my hyperactive symptoms get worse and I can’t mask anymore. Anyone else had this response?
My meds work beautifully and while they work everything is great and I feel normal and productive and more present. When they wear off the crash is unbearable!!!! I have a very low dose, I think the lowest you can take?
I found none of the ADD medications were of any benefit to me as an adult. In fact, they made me worse by feeling care free and not to mention completely drone out, which in my line of work is dangerous. I decided to stop trying medication again and find better cognitive ways to manage my ADD.
@@manolin4 I'm doing much better. The psychiatrist decided that I didn't improve with medication and that it isn't for me. So I've just doubled down on CBT and other tricks to help keep focus.
@M P Nope, I definitely do. Not all of those who have ADHD/ADD require meds and many who have ADHD experience paradoxical reactions to typical ADHD/ADD meds.
I don’t crash I wake up, it’s like my brain wake up, when I take my medication I feel sleepy but I concentrate very well and then when finish the effect it’s like my brain frees and jump everything that not jump in the day, why??? I just want to sleep
Does concerta have the same brutal crash that vyvanse has? Do all stimulants have this effect? Just weighing up the comedowns vs switching to something like strattera
I hate this part of taking the Vyvanse I'm currently on 50milagrams for adhd I was on 60milagrams but they lowered the dose when they thought it was to high for me I was loosing weight and not eating much
Notes for crash: 1. High dosage 2. Quality sleep 3. Frequent nutrition - many smaller foods rather than 2 big meals. 4. Hydration 5. Stay active 6. Supplements - tea, Vit B12 and others vitamins, L-Tyrosine, L-Theanine.
@Stu I've started last week. I don't have the best focus, but I don't have ADHD either. However, the method really helped improve my sleep, gives me more energy and it has actually improved my focus. Not by aloy yet, but I do see a difference. It also helped me purge some negative emotions. It helps heal certain emotions for sure. It's quite powerful to be honest. I knew about the positive psychological and spiritual benefits of breathwork for years now, but it's only last week I started doing it every day seriously. I've read some people's testimonies in RU-vid comments after 6 months or 1 year of using the method. They say it helped them tremendously with their chronic pain, anxiety, sleep, energy levels, emotional control, etc. Wim Hof is doing lots of scientific research to back up his claims. If you read his book, you can learn more about the medical benefits of his technique :) I highly recommend it for sure.
@Stu You don't need to do the cold therapy. Just doing the breathing exercises help a lot. I recommend you try it for a week everyday and just see how it feels :) He has an 11 minute guided breathing video on RU-vid. It's the one I do atleast once a day. Give it a try, who knows lol
My family doctor would see this as me not adapting well to the meds. Perhaps he is worried about the depressive symptoms. I found both times I stop used my meds, the 1st day off is the worse. Second day I feel like a manageable hangover, 3rd day off I feel back to pre-meds. What worked this time was strangely, going outside to get fresh air, drinking coffee, and working on the rest. The feeling is very unpleasant and quite debilitating so I would get off the meds on a pretty unproductive day.
Most meds are appetite suppressants. I want to eat but the meds creates a sort of shield or bubble that makes me want to reject any food I take. How do I get around that
i had a really hard time with that too :c (getting better now, by some miracle !!) something that has been helpful is having something to drink to fill in the gaps. i find that it's a little easier to stomach when the last thing you wanna do is eat. I really like smoothies and protein shakes. I also go shopping every week or so for snacks that make me happy so that I have more attractive options for when I should get something in my stomach. At the end of the day, anything is better than nothing. You need fuel, so you might as well make fueling up a little easier on yourself.
At least for me in the beginning when I first take an Adderall for ADHD I did crash and I hated it, after a couple months of taking it regularly at least for me it wore off maybe everyone’s different I just thought i’d throw that out there
Does anyone feel when they're taking Adderall XR and caffeine together they get really anxious basically bad anxiety and bad thoughts? It's not every single time but yeah it really is kind of a bad combination for me. personally
@@andrewaramouni9308 Yeah totally I feel this. But like if I drink an energy drink or something I get RLY energetic and happy, as though a little caffeine is bad but a lot is okay lmao. Makes no sense.
Caffeine is acidic and will make ur meds release much faster. I would caffeine if you really have to an hour before or after with food in between it and when you take your meds. The same thing was happening to me so now I have my caffeine when I'm about to crash midday and its so much better
I am very tolerant to my ADHD medication (I’m currently on 30mg Medikinet) and it only lasts about 3-4 hours when it should last 6-8. Is this normal? My dose is already quite high so I don’t want to overdose but sometimes I feel like I need to in order to get enough work done.
Every time the Adderall XR crash hits me ion feel like doin shit I just feel complete dog shit and lose all motivation to do anything and ion know what to do. It’s suppose to last 10-12 hours shit doesn’t even last 5 hours without it crashing on me and me I need this shit to last longer than 5 hours!!!!!!!!!! hours without it crashing on me and me feeling like dog shit and losing all motivation to do anything and ion know what to do cuz I need this shit to last longer than 5 hours!!!!!!!!!!
Just took my concerta xl for the first time in over ten years and in ended with me being full of rage as I come down over 45 mins and then like a switch I was good again anyone else had this ? Dose it get better ?
I'm not getting that superman feeling anymore and i just upped my dose for my concerta but also started eating less. Could i not be getting it because of blood sugar or did my body adapt already after 5 days.
I’m at 50mg XR and it’s perfect my only side effect is I keep biting my lip or tapping my teeth and makes my jaw hurt. I become aware of it. I stop. And within 5 seconds I’m back to tapping my teeth and sometimes I can’t stop any fix for this?
One thing I’ve noticed when I took it I could hit my delta8 pen throughout the day to stay more relaxed, but taking the medicine away I crash and eat. Better just not doing either.
I know I have ADHD and it’s even in my medical records. But my mom always said it better to harness it rather than take medication. Buttt I’m 22 years old and idk if I’ve harnessed it, would it be smart to start taking medication?
Is it possible that my dose is too low? I've taken 100mg Stratera for more than a year, and tried Ritalin and never experienced this... I've started Vyvanse and this whole week I've been very sleepy not long after taking the med. I'm trying to figure out how to figure out this sleep thing. I just slept for 4 hours in the middle of the day which is not ideal for life.
What is it with those bots? That’s so fckep up. People are fcking SICK NO THEY DON’T WANT YOUR ILLEGAL DRUGS They can get NORMAL MEDICATION drugs which their DOCTOR give
I just get extremely irritable like when it’s wearing off don’t talk to me I’ll rip your head off then 1 hour of anger and alittle bit of sadness I’m back to yelling making dumb noises being impulsive annoying my family. But when your medication wears off it is honestly one of the worst things and which is leading me to stop taking them
@Stu thanks for your advice. Some days it works brilliantly and I feel like I am finally a functional human and a better version of myself. Some days it leaves me feeling empty and that something is missing. I don’t know if I’ll ever be truly right. Thanks again.
So my bf is on 20 mg amphetamine XR. He left his medication somewhere and now he is nine days short. He hasn’t had it in like 5 days. He woke up this morning throwing up all the liquids in his stomach. He was sweating and cold and had bad stomach cramps. I monitor his meds and make sure he takes them correct. But we left them unattended and it left him 9days short. Do you think that he could be going through withdrawal. He took it every morning once a day. Then stopped cold turkey because he was out due to them being missing.
Amphetamine withdrawal normally doesn't cause vomiting. Its more of a mental withdrawal than physical imo. i know I'm a year late to reply to this comment but someone may still read these comments, like I am today. Lol
I have something working very well for me. Thing is that im years now following OMAD (One Meal A Day). I'm talking Concerta and Ritalin for few months now (recognized ADD at my 42yo). When i Geel that my meds are wering off i eat my first meal of the Day. As we know, food is boosting reward hormones, and soon after i eat i get my mood back. Not focus, but I'm doing good till bed time. Hope it will help any one.. Gr
Me instead found it more effective to fast for 16-24 hours when having the off-days. After 10 h (8h from wich are hopfully sleeping like a Beauty..), everything suddenly becomes clear and quite. Exept for the stomach.. But it sucks if mistaking to finally have a meal at 10 pm.. Forget the sleep.. and well. It’s complicated.
Yeah, for me the good feeling Last like for 6, 7 hours, and the bad feelings like 3 or 4 hours.... 60/40 per cent balance... im really thinking that the med doesnt fit for me... already tried most of tips
So I told my doctor when I’m crashing I’m really agitated and dissatisfied to just sit still and do some thing unproductive or for leisure… And when I’m forced to, such as a car ride home, it’s kind of mental torture. He doesn’t understand what I’m trying to say. Does anyone else?
Yes. Mental torture. That’s exactly it, im crashing on Vyvanse right now and I don’t even want to watch tv.. yet I can’t sleep, can’t eat. I feel so stuck because these meds make me feel so awful but they are benefiting my productivity
@@Indecisivetacos I have since gotten off... it’s tough but I don’t miss them. Maybe try going lower? I am noooot a doctor, but I had better experiences with other medications over vyvanse
What helps me before the crash starts is to get up and do some exercise. If I get my heart rate up naturally, it feels much better than my HR being artificially raised 🏃🏽♂️
My doctor prescribed me the maximum dosage of Concerta after learning that his too high dose of Ritalin he prescribed me was nuking me. I never understood why the meds would work fine, then completely fail and even invert after two or three days. Too high of a dose can cause a major crash apparently. I know this because guess what I'm currently dealing with as I type. My muscles feel numb, my fingers hurt and have cold pinpricks, and absolutely EVERYTHING is making me absolutely infuriated. I somehow want to fall asleep and sprint fir four hours at the same time, I can focus on absolutely anything and I'm getting major tunnel vision because I feel like I have to get absolutely everything done right now.
