Here is another idea. Cover the whole card front with Washi or strips of paper, the die cut a background in a complimentery solid color card stock. The holes would let the Washi or paper strips show through. No dies.

Hope You are well this Monday night here in Hawaii finally get to watch this I saw it the other day. Trying to keep up trying to keep up with everything else this morning was physical therapy at the pool. Then I went to do my phone and new iPad. Went eat lunch and shopping and home. They all are really lovely. However, if I were to choose one only, my favorite is the one with just one line of hearts that says, "You make my heart flutter". I like the design but would change the words to, "Thinking of You".

The sentiment "you make my heart flutter" & the one w/ "wings" made me think of butterflies!! 🦋 You gave me an idea: place 2 hearts of matching color point to point in mirror image of each other & perhaps doodle body center & antennae!? Love this idea. I had a thought when you mentioned scrapbook paper strips if you have some double-sided tape you can make your own washi tape by sticking the paper strips on one side, and then you can cut it to the length you want. You can make a whole role of your own washi tape and where one piece of paper ends another begins, so even the smallest piece of paper can be used.
