If you are getting error 16#7002 your firewall might be blocking connection between your PLC and your PC Modbus slave port

The DONE bit was tied to disconnect. So, once its done it disconnect and connect again. This will create continuous new connections. I am surprise that it still work. I have changed the DONE bit to error bit at disconnect input.

Thx sir. It works in my project. Just the setting of MB_UNIT_ID is changed from 16#00FF to 1.

Hi , I pull all input, output and analog signal in 1 DB for server , so my client read still need create different register ? Example read output from server ip is 10001 , then another block for client just 40001 ? It this possible create all combine dB by using 1 dB ? Please advise

In tia 15.1 status is always 818C. Parameters off this error are between 0.5 and 55 seconds like the manual...but it not work.

Doesn't work on TIA v15.1. Status is always 7002. Wireshark see TCP frame from PLC (I use real PLC S7-1500 for tests)/ But frame doesn't have any Modbus commands. Only header. TCP Segment Len = 0. Reverse connection works (When PLC is Server). I compare Frames and PLC_master frames are really empty. Don't know what is wrong and don't want spend time for creating own FB for modbus TCP. communication.

Hi I have some question here, My current 1200 cpu was using MB_Server and communicate with DCS But I new project want get this new 1200 cpu communicate , what if I don’t want write or add any program in old plc and just add client block in server ip, result 2 plc is communicate with existing 1200 cpu ? Is this possible ? Currently I would like to have put and get instruction and add only get instruction but I can’t simulate with this feature by modbus poll.please advise thanks. Es posible comunicar labview con s7 1200 como modbus tcp client.? En s7 1200 Configure bloque MB_CLIENT y el STATUS esta en 7002. Labview esta como modbus slave tcp, el VI no me da error pero no llega el dato en shared variable. Que puede estar mal? Gracias

Estimado una pregunta: Logré comunicar con Modbus Slave o Poll, con un bloque configurado para tags digitales. Luego hice otro para variables Enteras (INT). Mi pregunta es: ¿Será posible dejar sólo un bloque para comunicar valores BOOL e INT? Saludos y gracias por la ayuda.

will this work if the s7 1200 is connected to deltas motion control plc via modbus tpc and i need to write and read data from it basicaly making siemens a master and delta a slave ?

The connection type (11) is found and explained in the help section of Tia Portal. The interface ID is found at: Your Device Configuration -> Profinet Interface (X1) -> Hardware Identifier.

Hi, I followed all the steps but i just get a Status 7002 and failed to read the modbus slave. I'm using Tia v13 sp1. What am i missing??

Sounds like an issue on the Server end or setup. 7002 is an open connection just waiting on the server.
