💡 By the way.. did you noticed that the shape of the side mirrors are the same like on the Lamborghini models? 😄🙈
❓How do you like the all-new CUPRA Formentor VZ with 310 hp? 🚀
I personally like the shape of the body and the freshly designed interior ✨ As you will notice the exhaust sound is different compared to the previous CUPRA Models (Ateca, Leon etc.), due to the installed soundaktor.
The exhaust sounds a bit unnatural, but if you put the exhaust-mode into Sport instead of Cupra, you get the best sound experience in my opinion. More exhaust (from the back) and less (synthetically) generated sound from the soundaktor in the front.
Some of you might like it, others don't. Let me know you think of the Formentor 🙌🏼

I like the look of this...and great performance from the 2 litre pumping out 310hp. They have bought them out here in new zealand as well. I'll have to check them out.

Really like the new steering wheel and the more bronzen touches! How does it compare to the Cupra Ateca? And damn, 4:10 was epic

Thanks mate! ✌🏼🙃 Yes me too! The bronzen touches look very great ✨ feel/look more visually upgraded. Compared to the Cupra Ateca: The Formentor feels more sportier. I really liked the suspension, not too soft (like the Ateca) and not too stiff in Cupra Mode. The Ateca is a bit „shakier“... and the gearbox seems to shift a bit quicker. The Ateca is more spacious, the Formentor definitely feels tighter. I am impatiently waiting for the 5cyl Formentor. This could me my next car in 2022 :)

@@korlife Really like the looks of the formentor! Like I said on prev vid of you, the Ateca and Leon look less agressive with their facelift, but the Formentor on the other hand really still gives that sporty "Cupra" vibe! And good future plans! The 5c must be epic! Much more horsies?

Yes! Totally agree! 🙌🏼 Can't wait for the 5cyl to be available. I think it will have ~400hp, like the RS3 / TTRS. But the main reason why I want it soo badly is the exhaust sound 🤓 🥳 I once owned a Golf 5 R32 (with the V6 / VR6 engine) and I loved the sound 🎵 The 5cyl sounds much more aggressive 🔊💥

hello, congratulations for the video and for the quality with which you record. I wanted to ask you how do you consider the soud of the formentor? (equal to the Ateca?) and do you hear the pops and bangs in idle car? thank you very much.

Thanks mate! 🙌🏼 The CUPRA Formentor and Ateca both sound very different. The Formentor sounds more "unnatural" because of the installed soundaktor.. You get less "real sound" coming from the exhaust. It's much more muffled/filtered. The Ateca on the other hand sounds way more natural, you get much more real exhaust sound ✅ The pops & bangs in the Ateca are much more present than in the Formentor. In both cars, you get the pops & bangs only if you drive in SPORT and/or CUPRA Mode. You're welcome bro! Hmm.. for a 4cyl car i would give it a 6/10 and the CUPRA ATECA 8/10 👍🏼 I don't know about the Mercedes A35 (OPF) models :D Unfortunately never had the chance to drive it yet.. but the Mercedes 35/45 AMG models have a different exhaust tone compared to VW/Cupra Models.. they sound different

:D well, first I thought „what the heck is this??!?“ 😄 Terrible!! Then I knew what you mean 😄 But after driving a while I got used to it 🙈 I have to admit the soundaktor sounded not bad while the downshifts 😄 I liked it better in exhaust mode Sport instead of Cupra, so you have less of the soundaktor but still have sound coming from the exhaust 👍🏼 And I was surprised by the loud whistle you hear when you fully accelerate.. Didn‘t sound like a usual turbo.. and it comes from the exhaust, not the front 🤨 But nevertheless, I truly like the Formentor 👍🏼 Especially the design, both ex- & interior ✨ I am waiting for the 5cyl to be revealed 🙃 This could be my next car in 1-2 years 🙌🏼

it generated via the soundaktor, which is installed in the front between the cabin and the engine. It‘s not from the speaker but still artificially generated non-engine sound :)

How is the wind noise isolation while driving fast ? I’ve Audi S3 and it’s isolated pretty good , how is formentor?

never drove faster than 150km/h 😄 but the wind noise isolation is much better than in the Cupra Ateca 👍🏼 because of the shape

Hört man das Auspuffballern auch mit geschlossenen Fenstern im Innenraum oder hast du ein Mikro am Heck angebracht, wie bspw. das immer Automann TV macht? PS: Sehr geiles Video.

@@korlife The sound seems to have been set in "Cupra" mode (artificially noisier coming from the speakers), isn't it?

The artificial sound is activated in Sport and Cupra Mode, but it's the loudest in Cupra Mode. I think the artificial sound doesn't come from the speakers, it's an actual soundaktor installed somewhere in the front between the engine and the cabin and it generates some sound through vibrations. Some say you can plug it off 😅 but not sure about that.

😂 alright... maybe I'll have the chance to test a Formentor with a Hurricane exhaust one day 👍🏼 The basic Formentor exhaust is ok, the Cupra Ateca sounds much more natural and is for sure louder on the outside :D

That “growling” sound is unfortunately produced by the installed soundaktor to “spice” the sound up.. kinda fake if you want 😅.. so it’s not real sound coming from exhaust or engine

Das Pfeifen kommt beim Beschleunigen aus dem Auspuff.

😅 Ich fand es auch sehr ungewöhnlich. Turbopfeifen (aus dem Motorraum) JA sehr gerne, aber aus dem Auspuff ?! 🤷🏽‍♂️

Das Pfeifen gehört mit zum Auspuffklang, kommt vom Auspuff beim starken Beschleunigen.

Genau, da meinen wir dasselbe Geräusch :) Das hörst du auch bei 4:10 bzw. gleich am Anfang des Videos. Das Pfeifen kommt bei starker Beschleunigung bzw. Vollgas aus dem Auspuff. Weiß auch nicht genau was sich Cupra dabei gedacht hat, vllt. soll es das Turbopfeifen verstärken 🤷🏽‍♂️ Das kennt man jedenfalls so von den Vorgängermodellen nicht.

Ich hatte letztens einen Formentor für ne Probefahrt aber so ein Geräusch hatte ich definitiv beim beschleunigen nicht. Besonders wenn man voll aufs Gas geht, vll hat das Fahrzeug im Video irgendein problem? Kp.
