💦 We thought we were done with Virginia, but Virginia wasn’t done with us! We are back for one more amazing location - the Devil’s Bathtub!
⛺️ We stayed at the Clinch River Family Campground, which is in Scott County, VA. We thoroughly enjoyed taking our stand up paddle boards, and ended up extending two extra days just to enjoy the river!
While in the area, we though we would check out Natural Tunnel State Park. The tunnel is naturally formed (as the name might suggest) and is 850ft long and 10 stories high! You can hike (0.27mi), go to the overlook (0.1mi), or take the chairlift to view the tunnel. We chose to do all three!
The Devil’s Bathtub is a very popular hike in the mountains in Virginia. We ended up hiking 5 miles roundtrip, but you could shave at least a mile off of that if you can find a space in a parking lot further up the path. The hike is moderate, but once you get to your destination, you can cool off in the bathtub! The pool seems to be pretty deep (we never touched the bottom), but I would definitely suggest jumping in feet first, as always.
