Your parents had wonderful taste Helen! How lovely to be surrounded with the things your parents (and now you) love! I like the idea of taking objects from your house as a starting point for drawing, and adding to the design - so unique! In one of your painted sketchbooks I love a particular colour combination you have used. Can't wait for your next video Helen. 😊

Time and time again I dip into your RU-vid videos. I like your ethos. I think it is healthy to reflect on work and continually build on what is already there. I compare myself far too much to others and need to follow my own path and investigations. Thanks for the insight. 👍☺️

It's so precious, I was asking my muse (invisible cat named blueberry) what she likes. Home is her favorite and since she is like another me I've been noticing all the many things that represent home to me. Balls of yarn, laundry hanging in the sun, plants, ceiling fans, candles, pottery, furniture, animals, textiles and of course, art. I really appreciate your videos and your unique sparkle ✨ Thank you!

This is really gorgeous. It makes me want to re-decorate my house !!! The colors are gorgeous... and also it makes me want to draw !!!

Lovely, I really understand this. We were out of our home as it needed to be rebuilt, and then my Mum became ill and moved in before us - with carers - we had 4 years of not 'belonging' in our home of 30 years. Mum is now in residential care and well looked after there, but OH and I have had the weird experience of now moving back into a home after a massive gap of living in a mobile home in the garden and that - due to the rebuild - doesn't look the same at all. Like you, we have inherited all this stuff from both the Mums! I used to draw bits of rooms while I was looking after Mum and print them off so she could 'colour them in' I am so glad I did.

Thank you for sharing! I am inspired. Sitting down at the end of a day my mind is ready to get into my sketchbook, but my body is tired. After watching this, I have placed my sketchbook, watercolor pencils and water brushes next to my tv chair. I'm all set to create this evening. I'm a dabbler and try different mediums. Peace.

And to reiterate the comments here, yes, me too - I'm always inspired by your videos.What a fab idea - to look around at the objects in your home and gather up the shapes and use that as a jumping off point. I'm off to an art jam session this afternoon and will be taking my new little concertina sketchbook with me, along with some gathered shapes from my home and see where the process takes me. I love your videos! They are so inspiring to me! I love your different styles and i think they are so aesthetic. I quite tend to copy your work, but it never looks just a little bit like yours so i‘m doing well? Hahaha I hope you will make many more videos in the future. You are one of the few artists, that really touches something in me.

So neat to see what inspires you! We'd love to hear more about the project your are working on for the hospital. Could you give us a peak at it?

Amazing work. I can see any of the pieces in your sketchbook framed and hung on my wall. Do you ever finish a sketchbook page and say to yourself Wow, that is amazing I wish I had done that as a separate piece of art and it wasn't stuck in my sketchbook?
