Welcome cozy community! Come and have a bookshelf sneak peak. I am sharing 10 inspiring art books. I would say my favourites as well, just hard to narrow it down from all the books I have. Some of them are reference picture books, some have inspired my work and I am also sharing more picture books.

Picture book! The nests one looks lovely. I adore books. I have some lovely wild flower ones. The book I loved staring at as a child was called The Butterfly Ball and The Grasshoppers Feast.

Picture book! Fun little bird story. We watched mourning doves build their nest one summer. The male gathered the material, hopped on the female's back and gave her her material, while she built it. I would love to add the Collins Encyclopedia of Birds and Nests to my small collection. My husband and I enjoy bird watching from our kitchen window. The Secret Lives of Color looks interesting, but I'd check that out at the library before purchasing. I think you have a new big microphone?? Also the film angle seems more direct. I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

Picture books. I think the Picture Book Makers is interesting since there would be several styles in one book. I love how you used the nest book. Every spring I prefer to groom my horse outside so I can leave the hair she is shedding on the ground for the birds to find and use for their nests. So I was extra intrigued with your own story!

Picture Books,I love that you shared books that inspire you and why,I have the nest book it's really beautiful,and I also have the secret lives of colour book too which is fascinating to read,I will order The Picture Makers book and also The Pool book too,art books are always so inspiring.(matt) P.,s is the bird ornament hanging amoung the round lanterns new!,and maybe is one of your own bird illustrations,I love that you found a way to help a robin build it's nest.

Thank you Matt! I agree that art books are inspiring. :) The bird ornament is not mine, I bought it from UK artist named Elizabeth Harbour. She makes breathtaking and vintagy style ornaments. I have mermaid one from her as well. Here is her work - elizabethharbour.co.uk

Picture books📚 I think my favourite one is the pool book. I like the way they decided to use the colours. Ps. I loved your story about the bird and the horsehair! It reminded me of the little bird that vists my little balcony garden from time to time collecting dirt, dead or dried leaves and sticks from the pots and flying way...leaving behind a big mess for me to clean😂

Picture books. I love your videos, Kriksis. OBATA’s YOSEMITE is a favorite picture book of mine. Chiura Obata was a Japanese immigrant in San Francisco, CA. He was instrumental in bringing Japanese brush and ink techniques to the west coast of the USA.

Thanks so much for the bird recommendation book! It’s ordered and I can’t wait! My recommendation to you is 1954 - 1956 Alaskan Field Sketches by William D. Berry. I find it inspirational on many levels. There is such charm in his observational drawings.

Picturebooks. Dear Kriksis, thank you so much for sharing your books! I am currently learning to draw birds (just trying to learn to draw in general), and I appreciated the Collin's Bird Guide, Nests, Graves Garden Book and also thought the Plant Dye Zine would be awesome to try. Just imagining making my own ink!! (loved the rest of the books too!) What was the spelling of the Korean book? I guessed Dapu? Was that right? the Harry Potter book was awesome too! Thank you for watching! :) Happy you got inspiration from these books. Plant dye zine includes both making colour from flower pedals and ink from pomegranate skins and avocado, but there is also techniques for fabric dying. Korean book is called The Pool :) I bought it in Book fair from Korean publisher that's why mine is not translated, but I guess doesn't matter as it has no words inside. :) Have a lovely week as well, exited to start filming for the next video.

Hello Ina! Yes I have Jane, the fox and Me book, it's gorgeous! Reminds me a bit of some parts of my school time. ❤ No worries about the order! I am shipping from Etsy internationally too. I added Etsy for European folks because I don't ship to Europe from website and I have less fees to pay if someone orders from website outside of EU.

One of my favorite picture books also has no words! "The Book From Far Away" by Bruce Handy and Julie Benbassat It's a totally different kind of story telling, really lovely!
