2700rpm on boost mode! I Don think that would be powerful enough for thick or wet grass, plus if that's boost mode the battery will drain quick. Most petrol mowers are well over the 3000rpm. Just my opinion though, I've never used one. Me be fine for regularly cut lawns.
Brian. Yep it sounds a bit underwhelming. Most mowers from new around around 2700-2900rpm. Yes people crank them up though. From my season with the Toro commercial 21” battery with 2kw. All same motor on pros and 21/22” Toro recyclers. It’s done some tough stuff to be honest. Quality cut is great. There’s balances to strike. If they put a bigger motor on at say 3-3.6 rpm it will go through more batteries and for regular cuts which Hayter are it’s just wasteful. Time will tell but there are stuff in testing with good feedback. I know someone with Hayter 48 battery and he’s happy with that.
I did try this mower but as this field at Hayter has been used for a good week or more with dealers etc there wasn’t much growth to cut. I did find it super quiet and light to use with excellent manoeuvrability. Time will tell with these.
