Hi Giuliano - thanks for helping me learn about this feature. I didn't know about this before your video. SharePoint Security is already challenging with the mix of M365 security groups and classic SharePoint Security groups. I'm trying to consider a scenario where I would recommend this over the existing security options. It almost seems likes an alternative security option that is easier to understand for regular users. I do like that you can show the "Sensitivity" column in the view. That is an advantage of the other security options. Thanks as always for your well made videos!
Hi Will, Thank you for your valuable comment, I'm sure it will be useful to others. I'm trying to do all my best in choosing the right topic to highlight, sometimes I choose well 😁.
Very good video. For what it is worth, I was able to apply the Library Setting Default Document type and new documents in the related Teams Group had the label applied. Good enough for me in my opinion. Can use the labeling column in the Sharepoint Document library to sort the rest out but obviously that's a bit of a jump to implement with a Team that has been around for a while.
Hi, Yes with Azure Information Protection client here you can read more info learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/information-protection-client?tabs=devices%2Cinstall-client-exe%2Cprotection-file-types%2Cexcluded-folders
Thanks -@@DeLucaGiulian - actually I looked further into this but unfortunately a hard limitation. You can assign the sensitivity tags to images in the AIP client in Windows but they can't be retained in SharePoint
@@DeLucaGiulian As far as I can tell, the option to set sensitivity labels on SP document libraries is no longer an option when creating a label - can you please confirm?
Hi, Thanks for the video, as per microsoft latest sensitivity lable is not supported to .doc file type , i have lots of old .doc file , could you please share ,if have any option for .doc file.
Hi Guiliano, great video well explained. I am looking into sensitive labels and was wondering if you have tested applying sensitivity labels to non office documents such as PDF documents?
