I’m having an issue with RU-vid TV. I go to a channel and it’s just blank until I hit the enter button again. Then, it will show my program. Also, if I pause the program and then take it off pause, the program jumps ahead to life section of program. What in the world is going on? Help! Love your instructional videos.
Have Tanggula x1. Bought 2 years ago. Didn't use it. Got the S2 and using that. The X1 wont give me TA app. Is there an upgrade to this or am I up the creek? Thank you!
Here's an issue. My stick just completely stopped working. It's older so when the remote wouldn't respond, I changed the batteries and reset the router but when it came back it still didn't work. I did some cleaning, no good. Since it's older I decided to reset the stick to factory default. Now it won't go passed the remote setup. I'm thinking I need to just get a new stick. What do you think? It is very helpful keeping my TV viewing expense down since I'm one of millions on a fixed income and I don't get out much. Any suggestions will help. I think I've picked a good set of apps to download and I do regularly close things manually except for the players, FB and RU-vid but if you have other suggestions, that also will be appreciated.
I've had problems with Background apps not working or going to the home page when I try to use force stop. I use fast task killer which seems to work better. Thanks for the info.
Fast task killer seems like a good app, but run background after and you will see they don't actually close with fast task. I did a video on it and removed it once I realized the app was just a front to gather data.
Adam, almost seems like your stick might be overloaded if it's kicking you back to the Home Screen. Might wanna clean it up a bit and make sure plenty of storage available. Just a suggestion. Doesn't kick us out
Sail is superior. Has higher lumens, more contrast ratio and an official stick so you have the "real" android store apps which means HD and 4k viewing. You just had bad luck with that one.
The XGODY SAIL 1 Projector you promoted it I bought it and it flickers, what's causing the flickering? Is there a way to fix that doesn't say anything in the manual about it? Thank you.
Thank you for your info it's a good projector but wasn't for the slight. Flickering? That's going surprised they don't have a troubleshooter in their manual but I will contact them thank you.
I do have a new fire stick and it is slowing down and it's not as good as I say it is I wanna know how I can fix the problem myself without trying to find some tech to come out Here and Help your videos are very interesting very Help I watched a few of the day went back and done some of the things and it's Running a little Better but I think my cords too do Fire stick are not that good I've Google and said they could come from the factory not Really good quality chords that played your fired stick in with that created Problem Like to know anybody else have they had problem with their power cords their being plugged into don't let trick outlets
Mr. Curiosity I have 1 app that always runs no matter what. Sofa Player will run even after i force stop it n clear the Data why does it do that? I 'v had that Sofa player for a while. I'm guessing you have that app so you can change the aspect ratio of Google play apps on your firestick? To run some additional apps? That has to be on always. If you aren't using it for that, why have it?
@@CuriosityCafe I have that Sofa player for one app that has old movies n it requires that player.. A couple of other good apps require a external player

Are you able to use the background app now? A few weeks ago it stopped working properly, and I deleted it. Is it working now? That’s what I used to use all the time. Now I go to the list of apps and go down through them and click the two arrows backwards on the button on the fire stick remote. That clears the cache.
When I went to download the app it showed me two "Backround" versions. One was marked legacy and it is no longer updated and the other one had no extra comment to it. Do you have the legacy version? Just a thought.
To clear storage space if needed, you can clear cache. But that doesn't boost performance (which is what this video is about). Only clear cache if you are out of space, or having some issues with an app. Cache was designed to improve performance
My stick boots up blank. I hit the home buttons and I can get to apps to use stick. Can't get to anything else. No maintenance. Help. Tried disconnecting over night. Nothing. Tried the reboot with pkay & selection button. Nothing. Any help will be great. I'll need to dump cache soon.

The very first time I did this I had about 15 open! Thanks to watching a video you did about this awhile back.... I now do it every night as part of my routine. Thanks to you...I have a very efficient Firestick! I have since bought a New Amazon Fire t.v 4k series...which I love by the way. And though it's fast and runs so smoothly I still do it every day out of habit. I had given my sister my old 2nd Generation Firestick last year. While visiting her yesterday, I showed her how to do this and she literally had over 20 apps running in background!! She was amazed at how much better her Firestick ran when I got done with it lol. Oh boy. So yes I'm using ExpressVPN, but do you know about changing servers? It's extremely important. We have videos on it. So when I asked that question about changing express servers, that's what that means. Never use the default or it's extremely slow.
Rumor has it, the next generation will have this option in settings. I hope so! It causes a lot of people to return the sticks not knowing what was causing the slowdown
I do not know. Might be a feature they didn't add to the lower cost sticks? Haven't heard. Are you doing it exact? Holding for 2-3 seconds (no more) then immediately letting go and pressing menu?
