I love the video, was very insightful. I was just wondering if you had a written tutorial with pics for each step that can be downloaded to be used as reference. That way, it can be printed out and stored in a binder or folder instead of constantly switching screens back and forth.

Hi, at about 2:27 you talked about using your File Explorer. Your cursor was at the bottom of the screen but I have no idea where you clicked to get to that screen with the Design bundles. I’m learning so much from you! This video and all of the rest too!

Most sublimation companies want a PNG background. I’m having trouble figuring out what size file to save the PNG as for use on T-shirts or cups. And how do you make the edges crispy like a vector and a transparent background?

I did buy a sublimation printer before I knew what I was doing. I thought that I could print off to that to make design's from my laptop, Now it's all coming together thanks to you. I have a tutorial request. Unfortunately my sublimation printer only prints 8.5x11. Can you do a tutorial explaining how to print large designs and piece them together in silhouette? Not sure if I would just crop out sections of the designs to be 8.5x11 and then tape the printed pieces of sub paper together?

What a great tutorial. Thank you so much. I have a question about when printing that design for sublimation. What happens to the white backgrounds? Does it just not put any ink on the paper for those areas?

Sublimation printers do not print white. So if there are any white parts in the design those parts will not have a color.

Hey Suzanne! Great questions! Yes, you will either need to mirror before printing or set up your printer to automatically mirror for you (under Preferences for my Epson). You can technically use any design that you can print from your computer, but of course I am a fan of purchasing the bundles because they are such an amazing deal and I don't have to worry about poor print quality. Hey Kate! You certainly could insert a picture in there, but it would be really small. I would draw a circle and import you image into Silhouette Studio. Use the circle to determine the part of the photo you want to keep, then select the circle and photo together and use "Crop" on your Modify Panel. Hope this helps! ---Becky

You mentioned adding Buffalo Plaid and I wonder if you can use the eye dropper and capture the plaid in the hat to use in a heart or do you need to find a Buffalo Plaid fill. This might be wrong terms but I hope you understand. You are making me a believer in Silhouette even tho I’m a Cricut user. I can design in Silhouette and bring my designs into Design Space with a couple of steps! Thank you!

Amazing video thank you. Question, do you have to save the image as a certain file type? And also if I found a Clipart and I want to sublimate it but don't want the white background could I convert it to something like an svg or something?

Hey Maria! You don't have to save as a certain file type unless you are exporting to use in a different program. When I do that, I prefer to save as a PNG. Depending on the clipart, you can use something like Remove.bg (website) to remove the background. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Hello Tammy! Using Black on Sublimation designs will usually use a lot of sublimation ink, which is why many users will try and not use black. :)

I'm confused. What are you printing it on? A regular ink jet printer? Or is it a specialty printer? Or specialty needed needed? I have a Canon mx920 ink jet printer will that work?

Hi, I love the tutorial. I have only just got the silhouette software and wondered how i get the shape selection on the left hand panel. You chose a heart but the option to add a shape isnt on my menu. neither is the lasso or the image at the bottom of your panel

hi , I have question.i have silhouette bussiness studio. i want to create a roman backdrops ; i found lots of images on google that have writing on it or images on it that i need to exclude. I created a box around it and subtrated, however i am left with an empty space that needs do be filled with the same pattern of the rest of the backdrop pattern. Hey there! You can save the file if you go to File > Save. I usually save at the highest DPI available, because Silhouette Studio doesn't really have large resolution options available like a true graphic design software. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Hey Karin! Do you know what I love for puzzles? Family photos. I made a few of the grandkids for my grandmother and she has a great time putting them together. If you want fun ones though, just think about who your target audience is and then what types of designs they would like. Kids will be princesses, monsters, cars, etc. Adults can be scenery, seasonal, etc. Hope this helps! ---Becky

I heard that sublimating through Cricut design space loses some color saturation, does this also happen when using Silhouette Studio?

Hi Lorraine! Thank you for watching 😊 You can still use your Cricut for sublimation but the biggest difference in color saturation would come from the printer. I just purchased the Epson 7710, where did you get your sublimation kit? Are they just ink cartridges?

Hey Elicia! I purchased ink and cartridges from Amazon. I did search for Sublimation cartridges, but I don't know that they are any different that regular refillable cartridges. Hope this helps! ---Becky

What file formats can we use? Do they all have to be PNG? Or will SVG work as well. Will saving images off of pinterest that say svg or png work?

PNG will work best as they are supposed to be high quality. I would not recommend saving images from Pinterest unless you are downloading them from the direct website. We have a number of great free resources - designbundles.net/free-design-resources 😊
