I'm doubtful you need dead wind calm with kayak. I've seen a few videos with rougher waves and winds blowing and this kayak appears to handle it without issue. I've just seen someone else surf launch this kayak and it doesn't look bad at all. Inshore fishing looks to be very doable.

Prob not, you’re likely better off with an outback. Doesn’t look like it would cut through big waves well. Just my 2 cents

Nick from Navarre kayak fishing has done a couple good reviews of it and it looks pretty darn stable in waves.. Dunno about BTB but looks like its a definite possibility..

Same, that was my initial thought. Then I thought the price was a bit high. Then watched demand quickly outstrip supply in my area. Another winner from Hobie.

It seems like a versitile pond hoper and I'd love to have one but I just feel like at $2,700 it is really over priced. I'll just have to keep my 2020 Outback and Native Versa Board.

The drive is 1k. Think of it as 1600 with a 1k upgrade. That 1600 hybrid kayak has a premium seat, rudder and a paddle. It only weighs 45lbs stripped. Making it a car toppers dream.

Hobie engineers are SLOW. 10' long and 38" wide is better. When will they catch on??? Nobody that's fishing wants a fast yak. Everybody wants a platform. BTW.... weight means nothing once the yak is in the water. Weight is only a concern on land....i.e. car topping, land travel, etc. Hobie....has the best drive. Average, at best, hull design.
