The second temple was destroyed because Jesus's message was rejected by the Jews. He had specific instructions for them. God was angry about this the same as when he was angry about them worshiping the golden calf. Jesus had a major problem with the financial money practices of the Jews. God told them to not part-take in interest-based lending and other corrupt financial practices. You are prohibited from charging your Jewish brother but also prohibited from charging anyone else as well. Interest leads to inflated money, especially if it is not backed by assets and infrastructure. Money was not supposed to be sold. This corrupt practice leads to equity and value of the economy being eaten up by interest and inflation, creating ineffective bubbles that can eventually lead to further corruption and collapse of societies and that's why the second temple fell approximately 70 years after Jesus (who was never actually killed, thereby still qualifying as the coming messiah.)
