Joke was basically a diss track to all the haters who told him he could not rap fast. As and under ground rapper him and suga were receiving flame for 'betraying' and leaving to become idols. Suga also dedicated a song to them called august d. But now back to joke. He was basically saying even if I dont rap fast (doesn't mean he can't) my words have a deeper meaning and my flow is much sicker. All you people are just uttering words that dont make sense in a quicker speed. Hence he started making fun of them by saying things like "bubidi babidi chigimi chagami" and so on. Hope this cleared up a few things. When you are doing j hope please react to base line. It's my ultimate favorite song of his.

BTS made me like rap again because the reminded me of the old school sounds and meaningful messages when I was growing up. Hip Hop when it started was about bringing communities and people together, not to judge or tear them apart. It addressed serious issues, too. It cause a lot of controversy because you weren't supposed to put a spotlight on social issues. And all that was before the deep messages got overshadowed by videos and lyrics solely about big money, fast cars, and objectifying women. The fact that it has spread globally just reinforces what hip hop was meant to be. It's terrible BTS were judged and ridiculed for many things including wearing makeup and fashion. People forget about the beginning of hip hop and rap and DJs and b-boys. I remember Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Look at those old videos and what they were wearing.
namjoon is an incredible artist, just like bts, he tries many styles, whether in lyrics or the music itself and you can see that when you listen to the mixtape "rm" and his most recent mixtape (2018) called "mono". in "rm" he focuses on talking about his past, his insecurities, his internal conflicts about his identity as an "idol" and "artist" and responds to the criticism he received, all this with a much stronger and more aggressive rhythm... now, "mono ", here he talks about things like loneliness and sadness saying that it is valid, it is part of growing up and it can be beautiful, he also talks about loving yourself (just like the concept of bts), it's a "mixtape" with a relaxed and soft rhythm... the talent and duality !!!! you should react to his mixtape "mono" or the title track "forever rain" (or "moonchild" and "soul") :)
Did you notice that RM played all the Characters in this MV? BTS has a track "Hip Hop Lover" who they pay homage and respect to several "Masters" of Hip Hop who they looked up to.
Namjoon is just a genius he has it all . he is so talentet he has wrote so many bts tracks and he is the leader , a producer ,a writer and he is the insperation for so many people (he saved my life ) he has 2 mixtapes . the first one is "rm" and the seconde one is called "mono" . in "rm"namjoon is more agressive and show his flows and how hard he can rap . in "mono" you can see how wise he is (he talk about his thoughts and experience ) . he is so good with words , he spoke at the un (he wrote the speech him self you should react to it ) . I'm a 52 year old white woman and RM's rap gives me chills. He is just to good. His flow is so smooth. I like old school 80's rap. Back when the artists had a message they wanted the world to hear. RM is saying the rappers of today have no real message. Good music comes from your heart and when others hear it they can feel the passion you put into it. Most Modern Rap lacks Passion.

This is my favorite aggressive rap by RM. He has 2 mixtapes out. The 1st one is called RM which this song was from. This mixtape is more of hard rap & hip hop while his 2nd mixtape is called Mono which he likes to refer to it more as a playlist. This one is more relaxed cuz it talks a lot abt life, struggles, depression, & self love so a lot of ppl refer to this album as healing music. My favorites from this album r Tokyo, Uhgood, & Forever Rain. I hope u react to all his songs!!! As for Jimin, my favorite solo of his is Serendipity. Everyone falls in love with him when they watch this video 😄 my favorites of V r Singularity & Stigma. U won't notice him at ur 1st exposure to BTS, but once u listen to these 2 songs, u will never forget him again!!! U'll fall for his sultry & soulful voice!!! JK who's the baby of the group will amaze u with his multi talent. He used to be one of the rappers in the group back in the days & only decided to join BTS cuz of RM!!! RM uses A LOT of GENIUS wordplay hybrid English and Korean. When I first started checking out his solos, I had to take longer to break each song down to understand because theres so much cultural context that he weaves into his wordplay that I miss because I am not fluent in Korean culture. But he gives me work to do and think about each time. He is an absolute GENIUS.
Rm is known as a lyrical genius. He has an IQ of 148. He scored in the top 1% in the country. Him and suga are the main writers, composers, and producers for the group. Rm as of right now 11/2021 he has been credited with 180 songs in the the Korean copyright association. He is the second person and the youngest to be part of this.. This song and a lot of their songs are about addressing the haters. Their songs are also about self love, confidence, women and youth impoverishment, mental health, bullying, and such. They have a campaign with unicef to end violence for young people all over the world. You should check out their biography called introduction to bts.
Filter and Serendipity are my favorite Jimin songs that you really need to see. I really enjoyed this reaction and your calming voice. Yes, RM's flow switches are out of this world and he is pretty much a lyrical genius. He got so much hate for leaving the underground rap scene. As a teenager! And they roasted him for wearing makeup (PART OF ANY AND ALL CELEBRITY EVEN IN AMERICA) it was ridiculous. But he has risen above it all and spitting back that it is SKILL and hard work that gets you somewhere NOT what you wear or don't wear (referenced in his Do You mv with a mention of A$AP) ("I’m not pop, I’m not rock, I’m not funk, I’m not R&B or hip-hop All the kids who don’t know what they are yet dig, earlobes “skirt and skinny jeans? that’s not hip hop!” So is A$AP not hip-hop? Are you more hip-hop than A$AP and Kanye? Those old classical geezers can get behind me Like I said, fashion will soon be passion) some take those lyrics at first to mean that what you wear does matter, but he's saying that no, it doesn't.
RM is really respected by renowned rappers in both South Korea and America (Wale, Warren G, for example). To me, he has old-school hip hop vibes and he (and J-Hope) even listed some influences in Hip Hop Phile (or Hip Hop Lover), which is a BTS song. Check out RM’s Awakening or the collab with Wale if you haven’t already-its called Change.
Rm grew up looking up to american hip hop artist especially the OGs. Its no surprise that his talent being influenced with these people he became rap monster. I once read when i started being a bts fan that he was a true student of hip hop

jimin's solos are great, usually general public's favorite .. I hope you react to his live stage because his live performances is insane.. my current favorite is "filter" but it does not have a great quality video.."Lie" is also my fave and still my favorite stage but "serendipity" is good too and it has an mv. Each song is so different from each other that I hope you react to it all. You should listen to Forever Rain from his mixtape Mono! The whole album is a masterpiece, and it really shows how many different styles of rap he can do.
Yes RM is for sure the goat lol I only like a few American rappers but I love me some Korean rap. All 3 rappers in BTS are amazing and they each have their own style but they are so talented. I dont know if anyone mentioned that RM did a collaboration with Wale and its called Change. It is an awesome song and it was fitting to come back into play when we were having all the racial tention over the summer. It was fitting. Check it out.

Reg. Jin (my bias) I recommend Moon, Epiphany and his new Abyss. He does mostly slower songs utilising the broad range of his amazing voice. He can go the highest in the group according to Jimin and Jungkook - and that's saying a lot! 💜

Did you know RM has worked with Wale? He’s just RM now. He says he’s outgrown the name rap monster. Suga is an award winning producer. Don’t you wonder how they are able to switch up with out problems from their record company.? Which is totally unlike the artists in the States who don’t have creative control and have had to sue like Prince for example.

It has a visual but you won't hear the whole song that way. It does have a concert performance just like "Serendipity". For this song you can also watch a color coded lyric video.

A suggestion: whichever Jimin song you choose to react to, I *highly* recommend that you first listen to a lyrics video to appreciate the song itself (bearing in mind that the translations aren't always that accurate), and then the second time watch a *live* performance. My suggestion would be Serendipity, but all of them are good.
