*Let me briefly explain BTS rapline to you!* *RM* is a poet. You can not change my mind.His lyricism reads, sounds and works like poetry: a few words have multiple meanings and derivate in multiple chains of thought. Every time you listen to them, you discover new details, new ideas, new insights. Even when he's being straightforward, there's still some some philosophy or revelation or a big question or an aesthetic behind them. A poem is full of passion, but every word is chosen carefully, with intention. They're puzzle pieces, every piece has a place to create the full picture. It's a form of ART. WORDS WITH INTENTION. *SUGA's* lyricism is like "an arrow straight to the heart": you immediately understand the emotion he's trying to convey, you don't need to even know what he's saying to know "what you're supposed to FEEL". What he says is always interesting too, and it has layers too, but, from the first listen.... You usually feel that same way after listening to his song 1000 times. Even when the song is sociopolitical or when it displays an idea, your first impression is a STAB OF EMOTION forever tattooed in your memory. *J HOPE's* lyricism is like a playground, an amusement park. A place where magical things happen, where you are encouraged to bend the rules. It's full of bright primal colors, you walk around with bounce in your steps and inevitably feel the childlike impulse of starting to dance around, or start imitating his onomatopoeias and alibis. There's a quirky creativity in his choice of analogies and a pure-hearted kindness in his message. Even when he expresses anger or sadness, there's this sense of DYNAMIC RHYTHM that is always moving, always unpredictable and ALIVE. *EDIT: Some examples to illustrate my description:* *RM:* - "From the time everyone is born / Life is more beautiful because it uses death as the collateral payment." Suga is from the “hood”, he was poor. He was shooting guard in high school, underground rapper. B-Ball and Bars. RM underground rapper, but privileged. J-hope started as a dancer and learned to rap. J-hope only started rapping when the group was made by watching Suga and RM throwing bars for fun. But he was able to create his own unique style and so good playing with cadence and switching flow. He used to do b-boying and won lots of awards in dancing.

RM is the wordsmith, JHope is the flow master, and Suga is gritty and blunt. All three are master MC's with very different styles.

Supreme boi was going to be one of the members but then stayed just as producer. When SUGA on the other hand was hired at first as producer and then they decided to make him one of the members

I’m 41 and have been to my share of concerts in the 90s-00s, the 2nd golden era imo, and imo BTS was the absolute best concert. There’s an emotional connection bc of their success story worldwide. Literal underdogs in Korea and the US. Those industries really didn’t make it easy. They don’t make money off of them so the path was different than for others. ARMY has their back and the industries only allow them a platform bc we bring ratings.

Jhope usually comes in more melodic and you really don't know how he's gonna switch it up. But his strength is his stage presence.

You should watch the cypher medley live which they sung during their 2016 or 2017 concert. That is my favorite coz you can see how hyped the boys were and the crowd was going crazy as well. And to think somebody said that Suga was really not feeling well that day. But still he performed and gave their 200% best. Thank you for liking their song. You can also listen to ddaeng my morning anthem everyday as I get ready for work. And also Outro: Tear the live version. They sung that during their concert in 2018 and 2019 which I watched in MetLife. They sound like they ate their CD when singing live. Never changed it to Real Me, just shortened it RM. Also Cypher 2 is the one to the rapper that will not be named. The closest to part 5 is Ddaeng , but you really need to watch the explain from DKDKTV with it.

Don't sleep on any of them. Suga changes his voice like characters he has locked inside him. RM does it ever so often, but his play on words is amazing. Hobi (J-hope) can embody anything you need him too. He's a good mix of both of them as he learned how to rap from the two of them. Hobi was street dancer and had to learn how to rap. Everyone looks at Hobi as the more trending easy going rapper that you hear on mainstream radio, but that's easily misleading, because he can switch that so quickly. They are all strong. And the same goes the other four members of BTS. No one is a weak link.

You must watch "The Last " by Agust D and "First Love " by Suga. Both in my top Yoongi favorites. "Do You " and "Joke" by RM. "Chicken Noodle Soup" and "The Blue Side" by J-Hope. "Airplane" is good too. "Shadow" is tied for first as my favorite song (tied with "Black Swan") on Map of the Soul 7. Great music video too. Ahh...so much rap line and not enough time! yes Jhope can go harder and you'll see it eventually and once you see him going hard you will go back to this and appreciate it more cause just then you'll know very well that he CHOSE smoothness .. his rap is so powerful even when he is not going that hard I like how dynamic it is and I've never felt the same hearing another rapper it is like no matter what the beat is he will smoothly deliver so just relax and listen ... you know how watching a smooth and really great dancer feels ? that is exactly how I feel listening to Jhope + I wanna point out that they are a group so it is not only about rapping your verse or else the song won't be put together.. not all three can go hard in each song ~ transitionally verses are needed and as bts themselves said before Jhope is perfect for that cause his voice is so versatile and he can connect any two things -literally - so that is why he is in the middle most of the time & in the ot7 songs he's always connecting the vocal part with the rap in a way or another ~ it more of using each member to creat a perfect song rather than a perfect part of your own so make sure to not only focus on individual parts but more on what the part is adding to the song (e.g: x went hard but if it wasn't for y taking it slow the song won't be good ) and things like that

His song Baseline is also great. And Boy Meets Evil incorporates his dancing skills in a very cool way, and it's a different style of a rap song. Outro: Tear is another rap song from all 3 rappers - J-Hope's verse is the clear winner in that one. You have to remember Suga and RM have been rapping for a long time. J-Hope didn't start rapping until he joined BTS.
