This is an attempt to show you a vote failure on this 2005 honda crv, due to screen recording problems the video is not up to my standards but i still believe there is good information for you to use. Gratitude paypal.me/HomieHektor
My 04 just exhibited the same symptoms and code, was really thinking I'd be looking at something like doing a junkyard trans swap because I didn't even know this thing had a limp mode governor and it felt like it wasn't going into upper gears. Thanks for including the whole diagnostic process I can run thru rather than just the fix!
Very nice diagnosis! I work close to there. Looks like you passed mount SAC. I work by temple and valley . Keep up the amazing work and hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.
Really informative. Great diagnosis videos. I have been trying to watch all your videos. Your Diagnosis process is just like eric southmain auto and keith. Invaluable info.
What's good homie happy holidays to you and yourz, just stumbled upon your vids about a month ago and been digging all the content so far dawg, keep it up. I recently got back in school to make It official and love the chingon passion you got for this line of work homie. (And yeah Fuck them lame haters G keep doing you)
Those engines also have a passage screen that sits behind the power steering pump bracket on the opposite / front side of the engine that also gets clogged up. Strongly recommend cleaning that one as well.
Hey I just started watching your videos. I hope you do a lot more diagnosis. I like to learn. You should use a GoPro. It has lot of mounting option and easier to take it around
Same issue with my 05 crv. Replaced the solenoid and the check engine light and stutter came back within 5 miles. This was also done with a fresh change of oil. I’m about to pull my hair out over this issue...
@@Rob-me1ic nope I gave it to my mother in law and she’s literally drove it everywhere with this issue. She just builds momentum and pulls hills with little issue. I think it’s electrical since if the oil pressure was really that low the motor would have died a long time ago by now. Iv moved on though and won’t get a Honda again.
@@Rob-me1icdid you clean/replace the other vtec screen next to the power steering or replace the oil pressure switch? There can also be electrical connectors issues with the plugs to the vtec spool assembly that you replaced (and non-OE units tend to be crap)
@@brassmule Old reply, but yes. I stated I cleaned them both. Ended up being water in my VTEC assembly plug. I sprayed electronic cleaner in it, and it fixed it right up.
Hola Señor @Homie Hektor quick one: I have a Honda accord 2005, that starts to vibrate and make a sorta rattling noise when I Turn on my car a/c. usually, the vibration and noise is more pronounced when i come to a halt at a red light or the car is on Park, at times the engine goes off and all the lights on the dashboard come on and I have to restart again. ¿what could be wrong here?
Hey bro, I have a 2006 crv awd. I have multiple misfires. Replaced coil packs, plugs and fuel injectors. Oils just changed, air filter, the intake hose was cracked and i replaced that. 200k miles. It tends to tremble when I come to a stop, what do you recommend?
I need help. There's a sensor on the left side of the engine below the cams that has a blue connector with a blue wire and white stripe line and the black one. What's that sensor called? Someone broke that wire off the connector and I can't find one crv at the junkyard. Thanks
those guys with the thumbs down most likely work for McDonalds or Burger King, cause you know they don't have enough sense to even change a spark plug.
just FYI for anyone changing one of these out make sure you pay attention to the connections because the one on the right when you put the connector back on it can go on 2 different ways and you will think its on and connected but its not.. ask me how i know.
Same shit happen to me when I was trying to replace my Honda distributor the want 400 for little Distributor Ignition Control Module and the distributor itself was 200 Ahha
Hello Homie; My 2005 CRV has a very poor fuel economy at 11MPG.. Manufacturer average is 22MPG. 105km trip took 21.8 liters of petrol... Changed the Airflow sensor, plugs are fine... In your experience what needs to be done to fix this issue?
LOL, Chingadera sure sounds better than thingamabob! Hektor, I have that P2646 code and replaced the entire vetch solenoid/filter with a Honda one, and also changed the vtec strainer behind the tensioner. Has that ever happened to you? what else can I try?
Oil pressure switch just below the vtec spool assembly that you replaced, and confirm your electrical connectors to the spool assembly are good. Sometimes they get corroded and a new pigtail is required.
My car has the same code BUT it has the WARM UP before it does the HOP HOP HOP !! The OIL has to warm before that screen restricts the flow - the V-Tech turns ON at 19 PSI Oil Pressure !!
Hi, i change the vtec for crv 2003. But when the car exceeds 120 kmph, the gas pedal is disconnected and I cannot accelerate. And the car is churn. I had to slow down. Is there a solution please
Hector, my 13 CRV just started to get that rattle when you started in the morning , I guess it’s the VTC actuator, is that supposed to trip a code. And is there anything I can do for it to go away like cleaning the screen or anything like that please respond thank you. By the way don’t you hate haters they should just go away
Thanks for the video. The same codes p2646 and p2647 and I put a new part (vetch switch) but the problem is not fixed. What other suggestions you have for me? Thank u.
bro I replaced this piece 3 times within 3 months it clogs again . I don't know what to clean or check for I changed my oil and oil pan the last time I did this idk what else to do
You have to drive like Grandma with slow acceleration, keeping it at or near 2500 RPM before shifts, which limits your top speed... So yes, you save fuel lol. Not a great or safe way to travel routinely, as you cannot "mash the gas" without severe engine bucking that'll wreck your motor mounts and possibly damage your drive train components.
I spent so much money and still getting the code. Started with overheating and blown head gasket. Codes be bouncing. I don't have a virus d10 :-( Need a honda man.
Take out those O-Rings and replace them from the Power Steering Pump. Replace also the Low Pressure Hose that goes into the Power Steering Pump. Make sure the Power Steering Reservoir's Filter is cleaned.
