In this video I wanted to give you a first easy option to try to remedy the code P2646 in the Honda i-VTEC 4 Cylinder This is on a 2007 Accord.

Excellent video my car was sitting for 2 months this problem occurred, I went to auto zone picked up stp oil flush (small gold color plastic container)let my crv run for 30 min, then changed oil, man what a big difference 👏 👍 dam good video....

I recently saw your video as I was preparing to do the more in-depth screen cleaning on 2006 Honda, so I decided to give it a try. Purchased flush and ran it in engine about 25 minutes, drained engine, installed flesh 5W20 oil and new filter. Worked perfectly!! Check engine light off, car back running like a champ!! I used the 20K long life oil being sold and about 4 months since the oil change the car started bucking at 60MPH and it felt like the tranny was going. VSA, VTM4 light turned on along with the check engine light. Drove the car home gingerly and the oil light turned on the minute I got to my driveway. I was ready to start taking things apart when I watched this. One engine flush later, fresh oil with some Seafoam additive and I was good to go! Thanks for the video, you saved me a lot of work under the hood on a 33 degree day,brrrrrrr. Lesson learned- NEVER USE the long life high mileage oil! It's crap!

Had a Honda with this code. Seemed pretty clear that the person I got it from hadn’t changed the oil in a long time. Funnily enough this code came *after* I changed the oil. My guess is the new oil flowing through broke down some gunk stuck to in the system and pushed to it the screens leading to a clog. Used some seafoam as directed and the code cleared before I even changed the oil again, after around 30 miles of driving. Changed the oil, code never came back.

ILL BE DAMNED!!! I was so crushed my new purchase was acting up. I thought it needed a transmission. I changed the oil & did a flush on the trans maybe 200 miles ago and it stopped doing it in every gear just in 3-4. I was about to do another trans flush, got the engine flush in idled 15 minutes then drained & changed the filter. INSTANT FIX. I floored it and she snatched smooth in every gear. THANK YOU THANK YOU

Buddy I followed your instructions and I have to be so grateful to you. I flushed the engine the screens were clogged and I replaced them. My car had 218 thousand miles and I just drove from Hollywood FL to NYC so now it has 219.400 miles and it runs like a charm. THANK YOU for your video YOU ARE the Best👍🏼

had my son do engine flush and changed oil filter and oil. Also added some seafoam to crank case. It worked ! check engine light off and running smoothly. thanks so much for your video. I like your voice and was pleasant to listen to without any hokey music etc. You rock!

i have the code going too but it says its for a rocker arm proformcnce or stuck but i dont notice any issues with it it drives fine even going up to 4k rpm i have about 350,000km on the dash im probably gonna try to flush the oil and change it maybe change the vtec filters but if that doesnt fix the issue what could i do

I'm praying this oil change fixes the issue because l I just spoke to a auto shop they said that the rocker actuator is a 5 hour job that would cost about 900 bucks to do mind you I just had about 1400 bucks worth of work done to the car on top of it being a 2004 I'm disgusted

Run the engine flush and then change the oil. Make sure you run the correct viscosity. Good luck.

@@XoticLLC Dude I just did a oil change did the filter and oil filter soon as I pulled off the station lot the light went out thank GOD I did not want to dump another grand into this car I was sweating bullets but I will do the flushes in the near future engine and radiatorThanks for your help buddy keep the vids ROLLING!!! ✌🏾

So I have had my Honda odyssey at 3 different me mechanics they can't seem to find the reason for this code. Done alot of work to the car including the rocket arm. So now watching this video I don't think they have done this 🤦‍♂️ I will do this today and let you know how I go

2003 Element, one owner 135k, less than two months l go for my four Vtec oil pressure switch replaced(P2646) clean engine, 5w20 synthetic, all screens changed(old ones were clean) connector changed and soldered , vehicle traveled from Georgia to Florida and no oil consumption. I opened one “sensor” and it’s a silly switch … oil push a tiny rod and separate the contact, disconnect the ground and activate the Vtec at 2500 rpm . My humble opinion they are not calibrated properly , the orifice is to small to achieve that appropriate oil pressure or the engine can’t reach the necessary oil pressure to make the “sensor” operate properly

For some reason I unplugged the rock arm oil pressure sensor and I star the car the engine light is on.....and I stop the engine,, plug the rock arm oil pressure sensor back ....I star the car again the engine light is off but code p2646 still at scan tool everytime when I scan the vehicle,,,,please teach me if you know ,,,,,what should I do for next step....thank you....

Ran the flush for 15 min. Changed the oil, and filtsr . CAr doesn’t sputter … drove up and down the highway No issue. Light CEL will not go off ? Any ideas ?

U have to drive it at least 80-100 miles before it’ll reset if the issues fixed. If it doesn’t do out rescan the code to see if it’s another

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes...That shoud clear it. If something is wrong it will come back.

I checked the VTC strainer, which wasn't clogged. Replaced the rocker arm oil control valve. The car ran ok for about 9 months but my car was stalling with the P2646 code again. Luckily, I was on the right lane on the highway where I could get on the shoulder. That some scary shit. I guess I'll try flushing my engine and changing the oil before I take it to the mechanic.
