I think the soul sand is the tallest block that allows the hoppers to still pick up the blaze rods (mud too?). That keeps their line of sight high enough that they don’t agro on you and fly upward.

I’m only 50 minutes into the video so apologies if you cover this going forward. I’d guess your overworld chasm portals link to the mail system because the X and Z coordinates don’t match perfectly. They both link to a single portal on the nether roof… so the location of the roof portal on the X and Z is probably even with the center of your chasm… closer to the mail system X and Z. If you make 2 roof portals and few blocks apart that match X and Z perfectly you might be in luck.

Zed's hot rod shop could have a game where you do something to make a piston push either a honeyblock or an iceblock to make a racetrack you have to complete boat over as fast as possible

For your portals, since the problem is that your personal one connects to the nether-mail one instead of the nether roof one, you can either bring the roof portal closer or the nether-mail portal further from you personal portal's nether coords. Since the xz coords on the roof portal already match, the only way to bring it closer is to lower it. BUT for the nether-mail portal, if breaking bedrock and lowering it doesn't fix the problem, you can still bring it further from your 2 personals by moving it further in the x or z coordinate (the one that's perpendicular to the crack). As long as your overworld-mail portal doesn't start connecting to other nether-mail portals, your two mail portals don't necessarily have to perfectly match coordinates. Imma try to draw it hold on... [ ]____[ ]____[ ] { }____{ }____{ } Okay so that's a topdown view of your portals in the overworld [ ], and in the nether { }, with the personal ones on either sides and the mail ones in the middle. Their height is not represented here, nor the scale difference. If you bring the nether mail portal further out in the perpendicular axis, it brings it further from all your overworld portals. With any luck, that will make just enough difference for your personal portals to not link with it, while also not breaking its link with the overworld mail portal. For the portal problem... Can you not keep the post box where it is, but simply move the portal part horizontally a little bit away from your base, so that that triangle gets even bigger?

I think not a crater in the nether roof but a crack. Basically a mini version of your over world crack.

Zed, you should make sure the mail drop hole has 4 walls all the way down to the hopper below. would be unfortunate if the stamp or the shulkerbox would bounce of the walls and get caught by the edge of the hole down in the lush cave on its way down... (chance for it to happen is low but not zero)

If soul sand keeps them down, placing it at the bottom of drops might help the head hitting

Could you move your neather post portal away sideways so it is further away to try to drop your base portal.

If your rooftop portal was lowered to the actual floor with the scaffolding still in place - would that work? So the rooftop portal is just taller
