🔴 Conduction and Thermal Conductivity || for Class 11 in HINDI 

Probably, one of the best teachers that I've seen. Thank you sir, for your wonderful videos. I am studying in AIIMS because of you. Your videos helped me in gaining concepts of physics (that I didn't knew in class 11).

Thermal conductivity - It represents how much heat can be conducted at unit cross section in unit time. k_solids (k_metals > k_nonmetals) > k_liquids > k_gases. 1. Solids have close ordered atomic & molecular structure. So, they easily conduct heat as temperature is closely varied from point to point in their bulk as average kinetic of molecules are quickly transferred. In metals, random motion free electrons enhances this to great extent as compared to nonmetallic solids. 2. In liquids, molecules & atoms are not comparatively closely bonded & hence, delays in transferring the average kinetic energy as a result of applied heat fluxes. 3. In gases, this situation is worse due to molecular bondings are very weak & inter-spacing is sufficiently large so that it takes some time significantly to transfer the average kinetic energy from molecules to molecules due to imposition of heat flux from interfaced boundary. Here, thermal conductivity doesn't highlight the amount of molecules or their net mass quantities & all. It just highlights how this this delay in in taking & outgoing happens because of poor transmission of heat due to average intermolecular energies as a result their microscopic structures like bondings, closeness & all.
