Help my usb drive doesn’t show up on my tv screen. What am I doing wrong It’s just says Recent Chris fire tv

I have been trying for about 4 hours and 400 times. I cannot get the screen with open from to magically appear. I know yours speaking English but your speaking it so fast I done Verne have time to hit the pause button. I can download to my ADM app but not to the USB SIDE OF THE STICK which I can see using Xplore. Slow down please or make this step clear in your still shots

I get a "Not enough space" massage, when I'm using a 500MB drive. Any idea what could be wrong?

II have the same setup (on a cube) but once I select the SD card and try to move on from there, I still have the no-cursor problem, and can't create my destination folder. I will have to try the post note trick. Must be an easier way!

I have kodi running on my 4K firestick and all my data, cache and application all running from my SD. I have 3.6 GB out of 5.34 GB left. The Amazon applications that are specific to amazon cannot be moved to SD. I already tried. I use Total Commander to transfer internal media to SD card. It took me a few days to figure everything out. Big thanks to all TDUK!! Until someone figures out a way to delete all of amazon bloatware we're always going to have limited space. Like the old android phones with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. We had to rely on XDA developers for roms and root ability just so we could use are phones. This reminds me of those times. For those who are subscribers to RU-vid TV, RU-vid, showtime anytime. You can run those from memory card but you have to uncheck those 3 things that Break Prime Video. They also break Showtime anytime. It took me a few days to figure that out. All is well now. And just like TDUK mentioned not all USB flash cards will work even after formatting to fat32. Sandisk works!! 64GB.

Not working on my firecube either.

You can save downloads to your USB drive on your 2nd gen stick .You can't move your apps to it. On the 2nd gen devices, apps can only be run from internal storage

The files were already on the usb drive as I copied them on my Pc

I noticed the same thing. I just unplugged my external storage from Firestick, plugged it into my PC and created a folder from there. Plugged the USB back into Firestck and then changed ADMs download path to that folder.

With a UGreen multiUSB OTG I connected a spare thumb into a vacant slot and saved a file drom the device storage using Total Commander. I didn’t have rights to creste a folder in Total Commander - still to solve. When short in RAM I found Total Commander less of a memory hog than X-Plore, which froze after mounting the new thumb

Jim Sparky Before ADM I used Total Commander to move downloads from Cinema to thumd drive. (All on Cube 2nd gen)

Jim Sparky Troypoint has a tutorial on creatung a partitioned drive in which he shows how to move installed apk’s from internal to external install storage.

Have you already used that USB drive to install apps to ? If so you can't use the same drive for this process. You need to use a fresh USB drive , formatted as FAT32. Try that and let me know.

@TechDoctorUK @Ron Carder My ADM is installed on the system partition of a partitioned thumb drive. I have been downloading files to the data partition with ADM and with MediaBox HD. Same works on FTVStick and FTVCube

@@dannytelo2327 Stop projecting your ignorance unto others. The title of this video says it all: SAVE *DOWNLOADS* DIRECTLY TO USB. This video IS NOT about _putting your apps into a USB drive_ as the OP seems to think, but about what it says in its title - period. There's other videos about that subject and the instructions given on those actually work perfectly, so look for them instead of whining and complaing about nonsensical flaws in your own logic processes.

Is that USB you plugged already being used for installing APPS? if so, you can not use the same one for this process. You need a fresh USB drive formatted as FAT32

@@TechDoctorUK I have formatted it and still won't pick it up does that mean I need a new one.

TechDoctorUK or if used on the 4k fire TV stick, it needs to be partitioned a 50 50 mix as it when I set mine up like with adb shell as it has the second partition as a usable storage drive like normal.

@@TechDoctorUKThanks for your hard work. This method doesn't work for me but your latest tutorial removing bloatware did. I have 27 apps running from SD and 8 HD movies that I downloaded from cyber flix and transferred to SD using total commandeer. I have those 3 things unchecked in debloater everything else checked. My total internal storage is 3,6 GB left with Kodi, cyber, cinema, RU-vid TV, RU-vid, smarters pro, showtime anytime, firefox and more running smooth from the SD. No lag or buffering. The only apps running from internal that aren't Amazon are adb remote shell, Total commander and downloader. If Kodi is using up your internal space you must of done something wrong. Limitless, Ghost, The Crew and Tempest all working good with Kodi 19 mod. Isn't taking up any internal storage.
