What a great way to teach a nice song. Thank you. I'm still struggling to figure out charts . This way of playing it leaves tons of room for all kinds of shenanigans. Once I get it under my fingers I'll develop a bass line and then slam the crap out of it with inversions.
Nice, love the header on this one, the whole arrangement is really nice. Has kind of a big band feel to it and with the grips you've chosen this will be a challenge at first and a ton of fun to learn for sure. ~Cheers! 😊🎼🎸🎵🏆
Excellent Lesson, as always. Love the Charlie Christian version. I've two questions: What plays a Swing lead guitarist over the dim-chords??? And what plays the bass over a dim-chord??
The simplest thing to do is to use a diminished arpeggio. You can also treat them like dominants. Do you know about the relationship between diminished and dom7b9 chords?
@@jazzguitarwithandy, hi Andy, unfortunately I don't know nothing about this relationship. I know, I can use a IIIm7b5 Arpeggio over a Dom7, also I can use a bunch of Minor-Substitution- Arpeggios. But I would like to learn :-)
