I installed Hyperspin a couple a months ago, its pretty cool but I had a few minor griefs with it tho. I didnt like that its missing a few key games that i actually wanted to play & adding them to hyperspin with its own custom animation is a pain in the ass. Also the animations when scrolling thru the library gets old fast. I prefer the Menu screens from each of the respected Emulators over the animated ones. Plus the Animated Menus and Sounds alone take up like 15gb alone without the games, I ended up uninstalling it. Its Great if you just want a quick collection and dont mind a few games missing, Plus Looks neat when showing it off to ppl. Great Video, sorry for being so negative just sharing my experience with Hyperspin!
My biggest issue has been the controls. Using the nvidia controller did not "just" work for me. Had to go into each game settings and map the buttons. A REAL pain in the a**.

I love the Commodore 64! Legacy of the Ancients, Maniac Mansion, all the Zorks etc. I could go on all day. I have the 1541c disc drive and the 1571 in boxes and almost every game you can think of with boxes. Alot of sealed ones too. Great system back in the day for sure!

Hi TDUK, great video, can you make an in depth video on how you set up hyperspin ... i tried watching bandit's video but cannot follow, a lot of steps missing...
You can do that for just under $24.99 & all the systems/games will run butter smooth. No need for an nvidia shield or other "powerful expensive devices" to play these without a problem.
So I just tried this on the new 9.1.1 build with modified hyperspin APK. Got it loading some games. Looks promising, hopefully someone in this community has some fixes to revive this gem.
@@jmichaeleugenioI was enable to get bandits going but another build was released in 2022 named Nvidia Shield from Chippos on arcade punks website. I got that one to work but only about 80% of the games loaded for me.

Good day, excellent video that exists for sure that this device does not transmit videos on youtube in HDR because it does not have the compatible codec to do so, and could indicate if that information is false or true since I am about to buy one and this detail I do not like.
The SSD is NOT formatted as adoptable storage as otherwise, I wont be able to plug that on to PC to copy the Hyperspin files on to. I’ve downloaded all the files and extracted them all to a file. I have a 1TB usb stick i’m gonna use so will be transferring all files. My question is does the sd card need to be formatted in a certain way or is there a standard format it gets set up as?

I really just want copies of the games I had as a kid. Every package always puts too many extraneous titles like who had a Lynx honestly? Respect for the work put in here but it's a lot to download that I don't need.

thanks for the video. I have a shield pro 2019 and sandisk extreme pro 1 tb usb 3.2. I accomplished to setup. It runs most of the games. But when I tried to play Tekken 2 or 3 it failed. When I tried to run Tekken 1 (the older version ) graphics comes but very slowly. What can be the problem?
Question: There is a "RetroArch.apk" in the /Emulators/ folder in the pack. Do we not install that one but install the one on your website, they are different size .apk's so I'm assuming they are different versions, I am assuming we don't install both or am I wrong?

How can I use different Bluetooth controllers? I have a few Bluetooth controllers and only 1 Nvidia Shield controller. And it only works with the Nvidia Controller. I can't figure out how to recognize other controllers 🎮

hey doc really good stuff! i've installed this and every platform runs their games no problem, except for Android. are u able to run those games? there's fortnite and GTA:SA among others. i can't run any of them, there's an error code saying they're invalid or something
I have this set up and running but as Reicast is no longer available as a core on Retroarch I can’t get Dreamcast working. How do you point Hyperspin to the new Flycast core? - Bandit doesn’t seem to reply on RU-vid anymore.
TechDoctorUk, can most working at least the roms using stand alone emulator that were included in the download. Ill try Hyperspin again tonight to see if more working thru Hyperspin. However how hard is it to add more roms, different systems like atari 2600, coleco vision and add art work and videos etc... I Signed up for emu emovies this summer when got my Launchbox Big Box setup on my pc. So how can I tweak this Hyperspin setup.
I’m looking at your dreamcast ini file, and you have a path referencing the H drive. You can reference nvidia storage via a drive letter?? It also looks like it’s referencing a core (flycast?) that isn’t mentioned in the install instructions. Can anyone confirm if they’ve gotten dreamcast to work either with or without this ini?
I'm having issues with this straight of. When I install retro arch and start it up, I cannot do anything, it's like all my controllers such as remote, keyboard or controller are not registered. Meaning I cannot move highlighted box around to load cores. Any thoughts?
hello, I have already followed this guide directly from Bandit's but now I have a problem: if I download the updated Retroarch (1.8.9) with a new interface, the MAME2010s have disappeared and if I install an old version of RETROARCH it will not find the cores ... you know help me? Moreover, I follow the guide by installing everything on nvidia shield ... everything seems to work but if I turn off the nvidia and try again the following day no game starts ... it says it does not find anything in the path .... yet the hd is always connected and visible from file explorer ... can you help me?
When Hyperspin starts it looks for that folder on the internal storage or any attached USB drive. It might be possible to tweak the config so it looks at a network share instead but it's not something I've tried. I think an attached USB stick / drive or SD card works best.
Is "Super Mario Sunshine" included under the Gamecube game list? And if so, how well does it run? I had tried running this game on the Dolphin emulator independent of the Hyperspin you're introducing and the game either suffered with lagging or audio issues.
Yes it does include that game. Remember, Hyperspin is just the front end, when you click on any Gamecube game, it actually just launches Dolphin for you. Did you try the Dolphin tweaks: *Setting the forced clock speed to 65% under general and turn on all the checkboxes. Under graphics options enable vulkan and at the bottom of the page under hacks turn everything on except immediate xfb. With these settings I am able to play soul calibur at full speed. Only other game that needs adjustments from this is Simpsons Hit’n Run which needs slightly lower clock rate to run at a playable speed*

Been waiting for this video since the teaser image a few hours ago! I wish I purchased a bigger micro SD card for my Shield 2015 as I've got a 128gb in there and only 50gb ish free. I don't want to use an external hard drive.
Strange i did install everything to a usb drive 256 gig and downloaded every emulator with retroarch from the site and when I start a room then I get a black screen with every game btw ?
tried downloading but when i acquired the download it wasnt the full download. havent been able to find full folder with everything in it. any suggestions on how to set up the 200 gb file?
