I’m a 54 year old male. I eat fatty red meat and butter. Lift weights and hike. I feel strong and alert. The hardest part of the carnivore diet is friends and family thinking I’m going to die from red meat consumption. They think I’m nuts. Curiously I received no pushback when I ate donuts and bread.

Same here. One day I was cooking my meat and I actually farted and I was startled because it had been 60 days at least since I had farted, at least while I was awake. On the SAD diet, I farted all the time, and everybody said that's normal to fart at least 5 to 10 times a day. So glad I'm on carnivore! My son is autistic, we have had a whole food non processed diet all of his life. Recently I went keto and now mostly carnivore to heal autoimmune issues I have had since childhood. As I am the chef in the house we all eat what I cook. My son is currently doing A levels and getting high A’s. Before we stopped him eating the junk they feed kids at school he spent most of his day rocking under the desk because he couldn’t handle the noise of the classroom. I love him just as much then as now but I will take the happy young man he is over the stressed one he was.

@@jdci75🤣 We don't need fiber! In fact, our digestive system was not made to ferment anything! And that's what happens when you eat vegetables! We do *NOT NEED* vegetables! We do not need fiber. And don't you know that our stomachs and intestines can't even digest vegetables. When we poop, the vegetables come out the same way as we chewed them. Meat on the other hand gets completely absorbed by the body, by the intestines. All the nutrients that are contained in a steak or in meatloaf or in any piece of meat get completely absorbed by the body. By the time you poop, the steak is water! Any kind of nutrients that are in vegetables do not even get absorbed in a human's digestive system. It's called bioavailability. The nutrients in vegetables are not bioavailable to us, whereas the nutrients in meat is completely bioavailable to us. The animals eat the grass and the plants, and in turn, I eat the animals. That's how I get all my nutrients. Ruminant animals can eat the plants and the grass, and all the nutrients that are in those plants get completely absorbed in the animal's digestive system. Then I can eat the animals. Yumm! 😋 I'm a Plant Free Carnivore! 😁🥩🧈🥓🥚🍳🧂💦💪🏽

I have my canned response trying not to be offensive to anyone eating everything else. It's amazing how the conversation throughout the night continually went to people's health and all the meds they were taking but I was the one being looked at not eating a healthy diet...Maybe they heard some of the things a tried to explain. They are in no position to be judgemental. When people start scolding, admonishing or preaching to me about what I eat I tell them to cease and desist. Sort of like other people telling someone how to raise their kids or meddling in other people's marriages! Why has it taken this long for this to come full circle when I was given the advice in 1968 to cut out sugar and starch in my diet? This was a Royal Navy MD who said I needed to lose 14 lbs to be accepted for service... I did so and was never hungry!! This MD advised to eat plenty of meat, fish, eggs, butter etc cut out the spuds, pasta, rice, cakes biscuits ete etc, and any root veg... I kept to this diet right up until the 90's as it was tasty. I was never craving anything... Then we were all advised that eating red meat, fat etc would cause heart disease & stroke!! So naturally like everyone I graduated to this "NORMAL" diet and gradually ballooned to 224lbs!! ... Yet I was physically active practicing martial arts and all the conditioning exercises to keep fit for competition... I asked my GP why I was gaining weight, yet I wasn't over eating... He replied it was my age, as people put on weight as they get older, including him!! I just thought this can't be right... Then I came across Ken Berry MD, and revelations??? YOU BET!! I've gone back to what was essentially a ketogenic/carnivore diet, just over 5 years ago and haven't looked back!!... Now at my old competition weight of 160 lbs, feel like I'm in my 30's again at 70 yrs of age!! WE HAVE BEEN LIED TO!! PERIOD!!... Please keep up the truth and good work SIR!!

The deception of the food and pharmaceutical industry reaches so deep in people's minds. 61 yr old female, four months in and loving it! When Dr. Chaffey says that "plants are trying to kill you", he isn't kidding. I just watched a video from "Sadhguru" and he said, "If a group of elephants come and start grazing on a particular species of trees, within 20 minutes, all the other trees (leaves) in that region belonging to that same species turn bitter and mildly poisonous. The plants are communicating, "We're being eaten up". The elephants know about it, so they will graze quickly in one place and not even bother to graze in the area, because they know they will turn bitter. So they travel further away and again start eating. SO FASCINATING!

Explain to them true herbavores like cows and gorillas burn fat made from fiber. They do not eat starches and sugars. They get sick from it just like we do. We need to burn fat too, but we cant make it, we have to eat it. So, sugar and starch is bad for us (and the herbavores), we cant use fiber...that just leaves meat as the best human food. @@JB.zero.zero.1 It could be that complex carbs are more tolerable than simple carbs for moderate amounts of carbs, but what if a person is eating mostly carbs? Will the fact that the complex carbs are digested more slowly help when the volume increases past a certain point? There is probably a range of carbs as a percentage of diet where the slowly-digested glucose from complex carbs doesn't overwhelm the body's ability to use the glucose in real time or sink it into depleted glycogen stores, but as complex carbs become a greater percentage of the diet, you might still get lots of extra glucose that is problematic. Think of a leaky shower head that lets go of a drop every 3 minutes. Imagine a huge sponge on the shower floor under the leak. If the sponge is big enough, and the ventilation is sufficient, enough water may evaporate from the sponge every 3 minutes such that the sponge never gets saturated, with water flowing out of it and running down the drain. If the leak made for a drop every minute, however, the water may not evaporate fast enough from the sponge, and the sponge saturates with water and the water flows out of it. The sponge in this model would represent the glycogen stores and ability to use glucose in real time. The biggest problems with glucose should be expected when momentary excess exceeds the potential for safe (glycogen) storage, and momentary utilization as energy. When there is momentary excess, then that excess glucose either overwhelms mitochondria and makes them slow down due to the Randle Cycle (if there are also free fatty acids in the cells), or has to be turned into triglycerides by the liver, which may get stored in the viscera where they are toxic, especially if a person has already saturated their ability to store subcutaneous fat. So, I think that a person may get away with more glucose from "complex" sources, but only up to a certain momentary rate, and beyond that, "complex" carbs have just as much risk as "simple" carbs, because the complexity does not prevent momentary overloads at higher quantities.

The hardest thing is to try to change the minds of the people who sees the plants as healthy. It’s absolutely counter-intuitive to believe fats and meat is the solution and that plants are bad for us, that was my first reaction last May (2023) when I started this lifestyle and I can never look back now. Carnivore dieting and high animal fats have changed and saved my life.
@carlwatts1230
@carlwatts1230 11 месяцев назад
At what point in people's lives does it become "counter-intuitive"? It is very intuitive for kids to avoid vegetables and eat the meat and the fat. I remember my brother and eye looking at the pan like hawks when our parent divided the fat in the pan from the sausages and poured it on our plates. Similarly when picking the meats People need to be indoctrinated to want to eat vegetables. It takes alot of information assault or infowar

@@carlwatts1230 are u eating meat raw with no spices? Do u eat the liver raw like a lion? Of course meat will taste good, you don’t see how it gets to the market. They clean it up, color it with red dye, put it in a pretty package, then ppl put veggie spices in them and cook them up. When roadkill looks good to me is when I’ll be convince that we should eat a dead carcass. We see color for a reason, to see if the fruit is ripe. Real carnivores see in black and white, they see movement. Veggies do taste better to us, A carrot is delicious, a cucumber is too, fruit is sweet, that’s why we have sweet sensors on our tongue. Cats have the ability to taste their prey, That’s why they like to eat mice. Do u like mice to eat and organs raw?
@carlwatts1230
@carlwatts1230 11 месяцев назад
@@undergrace1808 The fat is definitely part of what makes meat taste so great to humans but also the meat itself. I like steak without spices and raw on the inside. I like steak tartar which is basically minced raw meat. Raw liver is more palatable than cooked liver actually but honestly I hardly ever eat it. I like bacon without any spices. Perhaps some salt. Egg yolks are great without any spices. So raw meat is great but also humans have been cooking meat for hundreds of thousands of years, maybe millions. It is quite natural for humans to use tools generally and also for hunting and for cooking. Most of the plant foods are as palatable as they are because of human selection. I find many fruits taste amazing but i wonder if we go back a few hundred years, or a few thousands what i would think of the taste of the fruits as they existed then before the many generations of genetic selection which produced the fruits as they are now. Most vegetables still are an acquired taste for most if they ever taste good even after all this genetic selection. Butter or other fats and salt can go quite a ways to making vegetables palatable but in that case it is the fat we like

I enjoy hearing scientific facts about plant-based diets. I can personally attest to eating the most "healthy" diet I could muster after 20 years of studying nutrition and sports nutrition but the weight gain and inflammation was horrendous. Edema on my legs and feet so bad that others would comment, "what happened to you?" I literally couldn't walk without a limp for 18 months. Finally said "F-it I'm going carnivore" and everything has improved - everything!! Special note: I'm Sicilian by way of my Father. Every male Sicilian in the town my family is from has had a heart attack or a stent by age 65. ALL OF THEM. Their bellies are huge. Even with the vegetarian-dominated pasta, tomato, and olive oil diet, they either drop dead, have their chest cut open, or have invasive surgery to open their arteries. Pitiful.

My mom is not statistically significant or peer reviewed but her experience has had real significance among her circle of friends and family. 3 years ago, my 84 year old mother finally had a follow up appointment with her physician which was delayed for months because her doctor has been in charge of treating Covid patients in the hospital and in nursing homes and was not able to meet with her. She had a full blood panel taken for this visit and her doctor was astounded at the progress she had made during the last year. She is now no longer diabetic and she was instructed to stop taking insulin after having been on it for 12 years (her most recent A1C test result was 4.9). Her doctor also praised her kidney function which has never looked better. Also, she couldn't believe that her total cholesterol was only 139, with LDL of 67, HDL of 60, and triglycerides of 82 which is a big improvement for her. According to the Framingham Heart Study, these numbers mean that she is virtually "heart attack proof" as many plant based doctors have noted. Her physician (Johns Hopkins med school grad) mentioned that she is reconsidering the diet for her family based on this experience. She also asked my mom to share her experience with our community after the pandemic. All of these results are exactly what I had hoped would occur. Below is a typical day of eating for her. I plugged her bloodwork test values into the Levine Biological Age Calculator (Yale) and she has aged minus 18 years during the last 4 years. I joke with her that she may be required to give up her Social Security benefits if she keeps going like that. Her recent hs-CRP test which measures inflammation was 0.4 mg/L which is half the test result of a typical 18 year old. She was able to get off of all blood pressure medications after 3 years, tapering off so as not to over-medicate which is dangerous because it can deprive tissues of necessary oxygen and nutrients. My understanding is that low carb diets are a workaround that do not address the root cause of diabetes which is excess intramyocellular lipids (also fatty liver/pancreas) and the resulting insulin resistance. Excess saturated fats and refined sugar/flour are the most common cause of this metabolic system failure. Unless a person can eat whole food complex carbs again without a prolonged spiking of their blood sugar, type 2 diabetes has not been reversed. Here is her menu for a typical day: Breakfast: Organic steel cut oats with some buckwheat and wild blueberries, raspberries, 1/2 banana, tablespoon of ground flax and ground chia seeds, tablespoon of hemp seeds, organic soy milk, Ceylon cinnamon. Lunch: Green smoothie heavy on the low-oxalate greens (frozen kale or collard greens, frozen pineapple, banana, orange, lemon wedge with rind, organic soy milk, avocado sliver, amla powder, dulse flakes, apple cider vinegar, blackstrap molasses, nutritional yeast, small scoop of hemp protein powder, fresh ginger, medjool date, fresh kale) with a small handful of almonds and walnuts - or - some soup and salad. Before dinner snack: one apple. Dinner: Variety of simple meals including spaghetti, chili, vegetable soup with beans, lintel miso soup with organic tofu cubes/onions/mushrooms/kale, split pea soup with onions/mushrooms/carrots/celery/potato, roasted vegetables (squash/carrots/potatoes), rice and beans bowl with onions/mushrooms/kale/peppers/salsa, organic tofu scramble with onions/mushrooms/peppers/kale/turmeric/nutritional yeast, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, etc. Dessert: frozen banana whip with papaya or strawberries topped some days with a couple of macadamia nuts or a Brazil nut - or - some red grapes. Make sure to include G-Bombs every day for optimal immune system (i.e. - greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries, seeds). Avoid most processed foods. Include tofu perhaps twice a week but not more. Stop eating after an early dinner except for a few pistachios before bedtime. Good luck and good health to you and your family! Cheers!

I work in cardiology research - but when I was working clinically, I asked a cardiologist why so many people with LOW cholesterol have heart attacks - if it’s such a significant risk factor, you should not see low cholesterol in AMI. He advised it was “bad luck” 😮. There began my rabbit hole - 20 years ago now. Meanwhile, I observed significant blood glucose elevations repeatedly in ‘non diabetics’ but still this not address as a formal modifiable risk factor.

Living 51years in my homeland of the uk, the quality of our meat is second to none. I come from a farming background, our food is fantastic. The only thing I enjoyed was meat all my life. Vegetables were a chore to eat. I can remember in the 00's my stepdad gave us lamb that was from his farm and it was the best thing I have ever eaten. Everything from the animal was used except the Baaaaaaa was his saying 😆 I'm now 95% ketovore...... Happy days 👍

I was shocked to discover how aggressively the Australian education system has embraced the idea that one shouldn't discuss autism as a condition that might improve with specific interventions, as to do so was to in some way diminish people with that condition. Grabbing for a clear example I suggested to the young teacher I was talking to that this absolute rejection of possible improvement was similar to denying interventions to improve eye sight or hearing to a young child - although she did understand the comparison I was making, I didn't feel that I reached her - so many scary ideologies emerging from our current higher education system.

I taught at a private Christian school in America. I was not allowed to suggest to any parent that their child should be tested for any leaning disability or mental disorder. I had students who clearly had some issues affecting their ability to learn and socialize with others. I remember one parent telling me that they were just treating their child as normal without any interventions; she didn’t want her child labeled as different. I believe this child suffered because of the lack of help.

I'm a 70 year old guy who has no qualms about eating plenty of grass fed beef. I live in the border area of Pennsylvania and Ohio, down close to the train wreck area. I've eaten mostly carni. But had a spell of it that I could not afford to buy good meat. Then ate my daughter's carbo foods. Synonym to that is garbage foods. Suddenly I get a physical (supposedly look for chemical damage to me from the train wreck), and I showed up a few points above the cutoff for A1c. The doctor I have because I am supposed to have one, was triumphant, he could treat me with something. Glipizide. But I went back to eating mostly meat. I say mostly because I eat herbs as well, garlic and onions on my meat. And now I am starting up a supplement with broccoli sprouts for the sulphoraphane value. I read in the literature that it both detoxifies dioxins, and helps to start up the Nrf2 process in the body. I also use NAC for stimulating glutathione (and recovering liver), all of which a carnivore diet does. Anyways, after just 2 months, the new A1c number has fallen back down to below that 5.7. I'll see how low it can go. Oh, anytime I eat a grain, it is usually in a form where I can make it to be a bed for butter. BTW: I get tremendous amounts of gas (methane) when I eat veggies and fiber. Eating nose to tail beef, including innards, I've correcterd my gut as well.

As a nine-days-into-it carnivore dieter who was strongly influenced by Dr. Chaffee and other MDs, I really appreciate this presentation. However, in one way it drifted off point because of the many minutes devoted to cow methane emissions and climate. As a research scientist who has incorporated climate data into my work and publications, I know that Earth's climate has always been driven by the input from the sun, and that CO2 is the result of climatic warming and certainly not the cause of it. This is clearly shown in two-mile-long continuous ice cores from Antarctica that record each year's temperature change in thin ice laminations that go back 800,000 years. Temperature and CO2 levels are easily measurable from these ice layers. The bottom line is that first the sun warms Earth in cyclical fashion, then 800 years later (on average) atmospheric CO2 increases (it comes out of the ocean where it normally resides until the oceans warm up). Afterward, when Earth's solar input declines, the CO2 goes back into the oceans with the same lag of 800 years. This has been known for decades but refutes the fake climate narrative, so it is repressed. In terms of CO2 (and cow methane), the Earth hardly knows we're here. This climate scenario is akin to the carb/carnivore controversy in that a lot more money is to be made on one side of it. Looking forward to posting my carnivore results (which are starting to show up), once the keto flu gets out of the way.

@jaynebuxton9888
@jaynebuxton9888 11 месяцев назад
I agree with you. The earth hardly knows we're here. And CO2/methane emissions likely play a small role in the natural cycles driven by the sun. However, I think it's necessary to clarify that whatever role man made emissions play, livestock is a tiny but much exaggerated part in that. We need to engage in the debate about man made emissions because that debate is here to stay.

I am a little perplexed here. I have been a vegetarian most of my life, started after the age of 25. I do eat fish ocassionally. Never beef. I do love nuts, love salads, love fruit. Im 68, never had prescriptions, etc. Everyone is amazed how healthy I am, and guess me to be younger than I am. I am very physical, being a massage therapist. I do believe grains such as, wheat, rye, barley, oats are the real culprits. Carnivores eliminate all these and therefore people lose weight, etc. I have 3 children who have always been very healthy and very bright. They are now grown, and now 2 are experimenting with meat diets. Dr. Steven Gundry, leading cardiologist, just recently came out with a video why long term carnivores could be detrimental. I have decided to try a 30 day carnivore diet to see what the hype is and see what I experience.... But again right now in my humble opinion, living the American Standard Diet of grains, breakfast cereals, oatmeal, pizza, pasta, pies, donuts, breads, cakes & cookies and sugar are the real culprits of obesity and our failing health in this country....

I have followed a mostly plant-based diet for most of my 76 years. My health is excellent (I would put most 20 year olds to shame, doing sets of 50 pushups and a dozen pull-ups at a time). I follow all the medical studies that show the health of those who emphasize plants is better (far fewer cancers, better cardiac outcomes, etc.). My recent chest ex-rays and colonoscopy outcome were flawless; my BMI and muscle mass for age are perfect... It would be awfully hard to convince me (or the medical/science community) that plant-based isn't the best choice.

Yet, there are those who cannot tolerate eating any plants at all. Just because it has been working for you does not mean it is the best diet for everyone.

Me too! Being lean and healthy and eat what I like. My daughters grew up without meat and are perfectly healthy and being perfectly social people. I also we save the environment! The earth can not handle all the cattle for the carnivore people!

All the studies suggest plant based diet ( as it contains fibre) is very important for healthy gut. I don’t know from where the dumb old hag, gets her Education from .

@@HiStyleAcademy farmers kill animals every single day who come into their crops. If there's a rabbit, it's getting smashed by a shovel. Is that good for the environment? So many vegans thinking they know everything when they haven't even seen what farming really is

It takes a LONG time to undo the “grains and vegetables are healthy” dogma in human minds. My time shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning the kitchen would be cut in a quarter if the rest of my family were on board. They’re too addicted. And I understand that same addiction (as does the industry), so I’ll just keep trying my best even though they think I’ve lost my mind.

When I went carnivore my husband was reluctant. I told him that's fine but I'm just cooking the carnivore portion of each meal, you'll have to do the plants yourself. He's carnivore now.

I’ve gradually stopped cooking most things that aren’t meat. My wife is too lazy to cook, but she eats take out sometimes instead. My daughter eats what she sees us eating.

@Justin.Martyr I'm an animal based eater. There are very few plants in my diet, but I do drink coffee with heavy cream socially. Many carnivores do.
