If you missed my lesson on the chords then check that out here:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hA_bUpE4A7U.html Leave me a comment on today's lesson! The next one is focussed on soloing over the A section.

In the 5th measure from the end, how does a G7 chord lead to EbM?
@jazzguitarwithandy
@jazzguitarwithandy Год назад
It's a D7, which leads up chromatically to the Eb chord. G7 can lead to Eb though. G7 is the dominant to lead to Cm7- the relative minor of ebmajor.

Hello Andy! Do you have any video where you explain how you find the melody notes to song? so one can transform to a chord melody. Or a video where you explain how you solo perform a whole song with intro improvising to chord melody and then improvising solo and then back to chord melody and then ending? That would be great. Thanks for all the lessons!

Hi Harry, I haven't covered that topic yet. It's a good idea for a future video though! That kind of playing comes down to a few things: * knowing the melody/chords by heart * knowledge of chord inversions that give you different intervals as the highest note

Thanks Andy - very useful lesson fir this great tune. Any soloing tips apart from Eb major/minor pentatonic? Btw - that’s a gorgeous strat. What model is it? Thank you

Thanks Martin. Those pentatonics are a good place to start. My next lesson covers soloing over the A section. I think I’d look to find those chord tones first. The guitar is a American limited edition rosewood tele.
