I don't think I can pick a top 5. There are moments in every episode that I love.

Season one is probably the "safest" season of the show. As they gained steam, the topics get more serious, the jokes get raunchier, and they'll make you laugh and cry equally. I always feel that the last few episodes of season one get less good but the season finale is good enough. Fasten your seatbelt for the next six seasons because they will hold absolutely nothing back. So my favorite episodes are actually kinda early in the season. Episode two gives us a beautiful scene where Dorothy finally gets closure with Stan and that speech is so powerful. Then we have Rose the Prude where Rose finally opens up about her struggles moving on as a widow. Then they turn it into a joke with In a Bed of Roses where apparently going to bed with Rose might kill you. The Break In is another good episode for Rose dealing with a very real subject: PTSD. My favorite episode in the whole show doesn't come until season six so I am ready. It's a fascinating journey watching the actresses' relationships, their trials and tribulations, and of course, cheesecake. I remember staying up all night with my mother watching this show and talking into the early hours of the morning. This August marked ten years since her passing and I'm starting to struggle with remembering her clearly so the few memories I do have I am cherishing. I'm so happy that I was led to your channel to experience this journey with you.

Don’t know if you know today September 14 is the day in 1985 that The Golden Girls first aired on NBC.

Originally, Betty White was asked to read for the part of Blanche...she was so good as the innocent Rose it's hard to imagine how she would have played Blanche. Each actress was perfect at the characters they created.
