Oleksandr Usyk won his fight against Tyson fury, will there be a rematch? Both Fury and Usyk showed a great boxing fight but on round 9 Usyk was able to land a clean punch to the head which hurt Tyson Fury and forced him to run in the ring. Oleksander Usyk won via split decision and now the undisputed crown champion.

It seems the fights are staged in favour of the Usyk because of the Ukraine thing. All the sob stories and dramas does not add up. Barr a few rounds it was a shitshow and dull fight. M Ali and the likes of Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Rocky Marciano and Evander Holyfield, those guys of the bygone era were just made differently. Now the sports is awash with too much easy money and nonsense. They would have eaten the current generation of boxers including these two for dinner

Usyk is a very special man in the history of boxing, technically unmatched, incredible well conditioned, solid chin, unbelievable willpower (he is basically resisting to loose), very smart with great improvements from fight to fight, incredible talent to adapt even during fights, fantastic defense and speed, great offensive skills at all distances and a great guy outside of the ring. After this performance, and after beating the best people of two weight classes, many of them in their prime, he can be rated as one of the best boxers ever.

The fact that usyk won still baffles me. He is the better boxer by far and in my opinion Tyson fury is a bloody prick but at the end of the day he has the weight and height advantage. Usyk really deserved that win.
@TonyMishima92
@TonyMishima92 14 дней назад
Shorter boxers win a lot though (e.g. Mike Tyson and Canelo). It can actually work as an advantage because they're smaller targets and it can be awkward punching down. Regarding weight, I feel like almost all top heavyweights have strong knockout power at the end of the day, even at 225. Even if a man is 260 lbs, a human's head can only take so much damage. So I imagine there generally being diminishing returns with increased weight at the HW class.
@EileenTheAustralianMagpie
@EileenTheAustralianMagpie 14 дней назад
You do have some really good points there and I understand. I was just pointing out how effectively I wanted usyk to knock fury the fuck out. Fury is in my opinion not even a really good boxer but usyk just absolutely smashed him in the 9th round. That was the complete turning point of the match and when he hit him with that overhand left he had already won.
@FormerIFBBJudge

Tall is not an advantage and Fury weighs too much that's not an advantage you don't know what you are talking about.
@Byronic19134
@Byronic19134 14 дней назад
I guess this is harder for people to understand that never boxed? Because size goes both ways in boxing and Fury long arms became a disadvantage when Usyk was inside, and Usyk will always find a way inside even when Fury kept him out with that right uppercut. I never believed Fury stood a chance vs Usyk and I’m actually surprised how well Fury did. That really was the best version of Fury we saw. But from the beginning I knew Usyk is just too good, too tough, and too smart. I’ve watched every single fight of Usyk and he never even get’s hurt or tired during fights but he has taken some huge shots. His chin and will to win is just unmeasurable. Plus Usyk hits way harder than is advertised. My prediction was Usyk was going to walk forward and pressure Fury the entire fight, basically turning it into a firefight and Usyk would pull away and start landing huge shots when Fury got tired, and that’s what happen.
@dilly7551

1.Being held up by the ropes is commensurate to a KD, the 10 count was justifiable and correct given the magnitude of the fight. 2.Usyk only won the 1st and 2nd up until the 9th-11th. The 12th was clearly a Fury round. 3. Usyk should indubitably be the P4P #1 after this. 4. Ukraine is/was the most corrupt country in Eastern Europe, the war is justified, and you're an impressionable virtue signaller. Nothing is going to be sweeter than the unconditional surrender of Ukraine......keep baying. 5.Usyk is/was a Russian sympathizer prior to the "invasion".

I think USYK should retire or move back down to cruiserweight he the one that ended up in hospital yes he amazing but he scrapping through taking a lot of damage against these big men it’s inevitable that his body will fail him soon and he be stopped if he carries on at heavyweight. Chisora DDD and Fury all had him half dead badly hurt at end you can’t keep getting over that and winning for long it’s only heart keeping him up. I’d worry for USYK in rematch with another good camp for Fury because he will be better.

Tyson should have turned up his usual weight but shedding the weight caused him get exhausted in the match, Fury should have been aggressive moving forward thrown more punches instead of being defensive allowing Usyk to throw more punches which caused defeat. Fury had no answer to horizontal left hook from Nagannou fight to Usyk's left hook which catches anyside you move, secondly Fury learned from bully Wilder 1 fight mistake of being over defensive to bully the bully in Wilder fight 2. But with Usyk Tyson should counter Usyk with his own left right hooks which catches head of Usyk anyside he moves along with jabs and upper cut with power instead of powerless rabbit punches.

GOAT is impossible. For example, by today’s standards, former heavyweight champion Bob Fitzsimmons is a super middleweight. Tommy Burns is a light heavyweight. Rocky Marciano is a cruiser weight etc. By yesterday’s standards Fury is a giant and Usyk, the small man, is a near giant. That’s just the size difference. What about the equipment, the ring apron, the rules, the training methods, the lack of steroids etc. Comparison is impossible but people persist.

Otherwise this fight wouldn’t have been as big as it was. Personally i believe both fighters got exposed but Usyks flaws under the rug right now because he won and yall believe he’s untouchable. If fury was more busy, consistent with the counters. This fight would have been kinda “boring” with a one sided fight. Sort of like Canelo vs Bivol. Thanks for your insight. I have to disagree about one thing. Unlike a lot of British boxers, Usyk doesn't fight for money. He fights to achieve a legacy. The money is a by-product. If he retires as an undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, he can make a huge amount of money in endorsements and sponsorship deals alone. On top of that, he has become an international ambassador for Ukraine. Everyone in the world now knows who he is and what he has achieved, not just in boxing. Thankfully, both boxers will return to their familes unscathed. However, Usyk's respect, dignity, integrity, and grace has restored boxing to the great sport it can be. The man is a true champion.
