I live in Iceland and one time i drove in a taxi from Reykjavík to Akureyri and it costed me almost 500 dollars

You are correct it is a very scenic tour, but i have allways used the shuttlebus, i dont think it takes much longer. But be aware that there are 2 airports, the other airport is for smaller planes, where i have flown to Greenland several times. Since you are flying at a much lower altitude, the flight over Greenland is a fantastic scenic tour

That is really far, it would cost at least that if not more in Australia but nobody would take a taxi for that trip,theyd use a bus

It's a mistake I have done the first time : 140 euro for one ride!! A mistake I won't repeat. There is the shuttle bus from the bus station that is much cheaper and comfortable. 107 km? Sounds a long way. Price is not very bad. In Helsinki it is 20 km and costs 50 €.
