Well done Andrea big up and blessings. I am glad Jamaicans are starting to realise how RICH Jamaica is. Stop eating the trash fast food and eat the natural food from the land. Don't import the trash food grow your own. My mum tells me how my Grandfather used to grow yams, mangoes, breadfruit, ackee etc etc. The items we have to buy abroad from Jamaica are so expensive. Wake up, get your black owned businesses together, get your government and start producing/working like a well oiled machine.
Amen! I live in Florida and when I moved here from up North. I planted mango, ackee, June plum, yams, Scotch bonnet pepper and my herbs. It's such a good feeling as if my Jamaican Grandmother is still with me and I know I planted them.

Salute to Andrea, I am originally Vincentian, our country is the Eden of breadfruit plant in Caribbean, brought to the Island by Captain Blight on the Bounty. So Vincentians love Breadfruit. But I must confess, your breadfruit recipes and dishes are absolutely amazing!!! ❤
My former biology and chemistry teacher Ms Maund did a lot of work on developing breadfruit recipes. I remember having some of her breadfruit ice cream. Tasted a bit like soursop icecream. Delicious

These are the things I like to see. I do believe that we have to leave Jamaica to see the wealth of resources that we have there. For the past 10 years i have been noticing how much food is Wasted back home, yet people love to talk about hungry. Just this year, Jamaica had a bumper crop of Mangoes and I plea to all who i can to please save as much as they can and use them to make other things. Nobody takes my word, they just eat with they want and leave the rest to rot. The majority of Jamaican young people don't even know how to forage for food anymore. It's all about fast food restaurants nowadays. Man, when I get back home, I'll be having a field day just like this lady, because i have been seeing the vision for a long time too.
You are right, I live in JA now and I forage, my neighbors think I'm strange but they support my shenanigans and help me to source cassava leaves, Spanish needle and other herbs that grow wild.
Just getting into cooking with breadfruit. Roasted it like a potato and added salt pepper and butter. Amazing. Made a breadfruit curry with coconut milk and other veggies and chilies. Amazing.
This lady did some thing with a simple breadfruit. I think it is wonderful big up to her I like breadfruit. May she continued to developed more recipes.
This is amazing I have been making the breadfruit punch for the past 20 years when I was back in Jamaica and I did it with pumpkin sometimes and put rum and spices it’s so delicious.
Does she know about "crystalized breadfruit sword"? It is made from the fallen blossoms which are about 12 inches long and are cooked in a syrup and "glaceed" like the cherries used in fruitcakes. They have the consistency of dates. My dear departed mother used to make it.

Great recipes Andrea. I use ripe breadfruit to make tun ripe breadfruit (like tun cornmeal). The fit or half ripe breadfruit to make breadfruit salad or breadfruit medley.
