This video is hysterical! All it does is confirm that you aren’t an idiot in not being able to figure this thing out! For anyone else in the same boat, there is an extra set of 2 of the pads inside of the plastic outer casings - you only use 1 pad in each outer casings (as shown in instruction sheet pics). The the plastic outer holder will clip in place properly on the cartridge. Also, instructions say to have the printed side of these pads facing inwards - not outwards as in this video ….. still laughing that it’s taken me the 2 newspapers of instructions and watching 2 RU-vid clips to put this thing together😂😂😂

1 yr later, I have to say I'm another Man of culture after I just 5 minutes ago opened the package. Instructions on text book status. Not just for this respiratory they wrote those like were installing a full oxygen tank assembly 😂🤣

I believe so as well. I noticed the filter mechanism on the sides don’t lock in place securely if you try to use two filters. I used 1 filter on each side and found it closes all the way.

I found that I had to only put one filter in the clear cap that snaps on, I think that they give you an extra set of filter pads. 2 of them at once was impossible to get it to snap on for me.

"Life is Great" - Same here. With two pads the cover won't secure properly. With one per the diagram it is all good. For some reason they ship with two in each end cap which perhaps will confuse a lot of people...

Whoever wrote the instruction booklet for this should have been more clear that there is an extra filter pre-installed in each cover. If you follow the Assembly Instructions by text, you would probably never know that you have an extra filter in each cover and you'd probably be struggling to get the covers to snap on. What's hilarious is, these are sold to the general public who may not have used a mask like this before and may not understand the "2" next to the "pair of things" on the front packaging, and 3M fails miserably to explain in english that there is in fact an extra unnecessary filter hiding behind the other. Hey 3M, use your words, instructions are there to instruct 😄🤷‍♂

Looking at my instructions it comes with 2 pair of filters. It shows only putting 1 filter in each cartridge not 2. If you do put in 2 filters in the cartridge it won't snap shut and the cover will not seal and the cover will fall off.

As others said the white filter was put in the wrong way. The text on the filter says "mask side" so it should be put facing the mask. I hope the next person who outsources their thinking to RU-vid like me reads this comment.

The white filter says "Mask side" meaning when properly fitted you should see a clear white filter on the ouside

if you're using this for paint you should be buying the pink filters... P100.. P means oil resistant N means NOT oil resistant. N95 does not protect against oil based paint.

That's just the outer particle filter, the main filter body contains the filter for vapors.

You will replace the white filter more often than the granulated Activated charcoal filter and they are more expensive The white filters normally are a lot cheaper

The white filters are for dust particles you have four of them the activated charcoal filters are for the chemicals you have two of them. These kinds of filters are great for changing poopy diapers on babies you won’t even smell it😅😂😅😅

Don’t listen to this guy he has no clue what he’s doing. The mask comes with an extra set of filters. You only need 1 set. The print side faces the mask. Keep the extra 2 for replacements when the others get dirty and needs changed. If this guy is going to show people how to put a mask together he should at least read the instructions. He’s putting people’s lives at risk giving incorrect information.
