I love all my Cricut machines! I started with the Explore Air 2, built my own business, upgraded to the Maker, then got the Joy, and then started my own RU-vid channel. The possibilities are endless with Cricut!
My cricut is sitting under my Xmas tree at the moment lol. I have been watching all kinds of videos and so far this is by far the best one I have seen. Thanks for sharing.
I love how real you are! I’ve confused myself with watching so many different videos that ASSUME that a person knows “stuff”. Great job explaining, thanks.
I just received mine for Christmas and I really appreciate this walkthrough!!! Thank you for such a detailed video. I’m not as overwhelmed as I was when I first opened the box 😊
Great video! My sister was gifted one of these a few years ago and it has never left the box. We are cracking it open this weekend and your video was very informative.
This is the best unboxing and how to start up Cricuit Explorer Air 2 I have viewed. I recently purchased a new machine and have been scouring You Tube for how to videos. Thank you so much for your thorough and methodical presentation!!!!
Just got my Air Explore 2 for Christmas from my kids. I am so excited to get started. Your video is really helpful. You have a great screen presence. One thing is like to see is a close up when you’re doing fine work. I am hitting the subscribe button right now. Thanks!
I just got my cricup, why do I feel overwhelmed. So intimidating... does anyone else felt or feel like this? I don't have a computer, but I do have a tablet and a Samsung notebook phone. Can I use that instead of a computer?
Yes, I have a tablet and i just got me cricut and you need to use bluetooth. Just look in RU-vid on how to do it. I'm kinda scared to use mine because my mom said she lost the receipt and I dont want to ruin it.
Hey Evelyn and Angy! Yes you can use the mobile app and the very best thing you can do for yourself is jump in. If you are cutting cardstock and adhesive vinyl, you (virtually) cannot break the machine. A few bad cuts will be just a drop in the bucket to all the awesomeness you will learn! ---Becky
I just got my explore air 2 and it is very intimidating and confusing with all the different materials to get ...I have been trying to watch videos but it is so overwhelming and idk if I need a printer on top of my machine since it seems like the design space can do whatever you want
I have to agree with Evelyn. Feeling totally out of my depth. I'm an older lady and computers are not at the top of my easy peasy list. I think I would have felt a great deal more comfortable with a written instruction book as well as these videos. So glad I found this otherwise I might have ended up with a very expensive space taker. Still lots of things that make no sense to me. Hoping it gets clearer.
It will definitely get clearer the more you play with it. Feel free to ask your questions here, and also our Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/192859435768879 Hope this helps! ---Becky
This was an awesome video. I just bought my mine 12/4/2020 with a 3 year protection and tax I got it for Black Friday price at total $175.37!! I’m so excited 😆. This is my first cricut ever. It’s for hobbies and crafts to make and sell. And this video just made me more excited 😜 that I purchased this. So keep the videos coming. Thank you for sharing.
I just ordered my explore air from Jo Ann. Not trying to feed you envy but I did get the wild rose!! It's on sale and as a bundle!! $149 come with 2 tools and a good amount of vinyl.. hop on it it is a black friday deal!!
Got one of these today. Thought I'd come on RU-vid for some insights. Might I add you spoke really well and I understood everything. Thank you for this video
Thank you for this video I learned so much! It's a bit overwhelming when trying to look for tips and tricks on where to start! I appreciate this video! :)
This is a great video. I'm getting my Cricut today. Just want to let you know that your lights are too bright and it is making it hard to see things.... the light colored things etc.
Thanks to take time to tell us about how to use it, I just get mine same as your , and I do have a question. Do I need to purchase the computer program to get all the designs?
I know right,,, I don't have a computer but I believe in another video that I saw, you can use a tablet or an iphone. Darn I don't have an iPhone but I do have a Samsung notebook phone that I don't know if I can use this phone... but will wait on her answer. I feel so intimidated right now...
Hey Estela and Evelyn! You can use mobile devices with Cricut machines. I have used an iPad and my Samsung cell phone, so it works well on both Apple and Android. Hope this helps! ---Becky
1st tip is valuable. I bought one from Walmart. Noticed it leaked something out of box. Opened it up it was full of hair and something spilled all inside it. I sat all night waiting on 6am to return it worried to death. Exchanged for one the blade wasnt round and destroyed.
My Cricut Explorer is being delivered today or tomorrow, this video was a welcomed gift. Thanks so much, I am a little nervous about that first-time use. Thanks again Becky ♥
Are all cricut cartridges the same? I have some with my expression (I know…old!) and would hate not to use them… and i don’t see a spot for the little keyboard… is it all done through computer/phone? thanks for this video!
I’m happy I found this video I’m trying to start my t shirt business and had no idea on how to transfer single letters onto a shirt I saw this on Walmart n came to RU-vid for a tutorial thanks for making this video now I can get started
My Explore Air 2 is Boysenberry! Love purple. I didnt get all those cool materials. Just a couple small pieces of card stock. No weeding tools or anything else
Is this a good choice for a 2nd Cricut? Currently I have Cricut Joy & really enjoying it but I want something that does "bigger stuff". O, I have Windows 10 on computer.
Hey Joy! Yes, the Explore Air 2 is a great machine and you won't be sorry to upgrade. I recently put out a simple comparison video, you might find this useful, I'll link it for you. Thanks for stopping by and hope this helps! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6htrE4umryY.html
I just ordered one of these. I am a Silhouette girl and have been for a long time but thought well let’s try this as well. Thanks for the video. Have been a member of Design Bundles a long time love it keep making the videos I am learning so much more.
You are the first person with common sense to explain this machine .... lol. I am trying to see if this machine will do what is needed for our business instead of outsourcing the work. This looks like something I could also get a lot of home use out of (my OCD is thinking of all the thinks I could make labels large enough for us seniors to read). I might also be able to make some customized gifts for the grandkids and others. Thanks for making this make sense. I just subscribed to your channel. 😊
Don't worry, most bundles come with extras that you don't really need. I personally recommend beginners to start with Oracal 651 adhesive vinyl as it's usually inexpensive and easy to use. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Omg!!! I should’ve saw this video from all the video I saw for two months I been going through. None of the video say to connect Bluetooth. Omg! I should’ve found this video. Now I know what I need to do!
I purchased mine in October but haven't touched it yet. i'm scared. but after watching your video, you made it look so easy. so next week, i will try it.
What all do you need to start making things with cricut? I’m a realtor and want to make mugs. Also I saw there is a mug cricut is it worth it or should I just get one of these
To start making things you just need the machine and whatever type of material you want to use. So if you want to make mugs, you can use permanent vinyl to put onto the mugs! 😊
I’m still an old school Cricut user and want to use the cartridges I have. How do I use the cartridges with the Explore Air 2? Do you have a tutorial on that too? Thank you
Hey Valerie! I don't have a tutorial on that specifically since I don't have any cartridges myself, BUT I do know that you can insert your cartridges directly into the cartridge slot on your Explore Air 2, and you can also link them through your Cricut account in the software. Hope this helps! ---Becky
The app is not available for Chromebook laptops so what other apps are suitable for downloading digital svg's and projects? Love the tutorial by the way.
Hi Debbie! We've had customers mention that they've downloaded the Cricut App for Android users through the Google Play Store on their Chromebooks - Dawn
@@DesignBundles I have actually managed to do that now via my phone by linking android with chromebook. Thank you for your reply. I'm excited to get started now.
Omg! I been watching a lot of videos my son gave me for Xmas a cricut explorer 2 I am super excited it's an upgrade to my cricut expression. My only concerns are that I am not very good with computers and that I have a lot of cartridges that I love. You just help me a great deal, thank you, the way you explain it's very detailed and easy to understand. Happy new year to everyone!!!
I have the very first cricut that came out that has the cartridge and plastic key pad. Do those cartridges fit into it? If so where does the key pad go?
Hi Katherine! Thanks to computer-based software and digital content, you do not need cartridges to use your Explore Air 2 machine, but if you have cartridges in your collection that you would like to still use, you can link the cartridge to your Design Space account - Dawn
Hey Natalie! The Cricut Explore cuts any color vinyl you add to your mat. It isn't a printer, but rather a cutting machine. We don't have a video especially for wall decals, but this will help as the wall decal design may be larger than the mat: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1_OsTTVfZYU.html
Cartriges are something remaining from older Cricut Machines. They had collections of images on them like easter themed etc. Here is the article that can be helpful in explaining what they were almostpractical.com/what-are-cricut-cartridges/
Hi there! Yes, you can use HTV which uses heat to apply to canvas. We have lots of helpful beginner tutorials that can help get you started on applying to shirts here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xUSRriVxvis.html - Dawn
Just got mine as well. Totally overwhelmed. I have basic questions; i.e., If I have premium - do I need/want Access or are they one in the same; does "subscribed" on images mean yes I can use? Also have broken arm so forgive typos for a few weeks. Where do I find answers like this? Just VERY basic.
Hi Alyssa! The Cricut is a cutting machine which can be used to cut vinyl for decals and also HTV (heat transfer vinyl) for shirts! You can also cut a variety of other materials like cardstock, felt, and even faux leather! - Dawn
I have a Silhouette and two Cricut Expressions and I just purchased this one (waiting for it to arrive🙂) I am struggling with Design Space, but I'm excited!
I just got my Wild Rose gold as a bundle Friday from Joanns. It’s still in the box.😁 I so want to open it,I’m no crafter but I hope to learn and make a few gifts for friends. So glad I found your channel. 🤩👋🏼
My Explore Air 2 came in yesterday and my Everything bundle came today. I really wanted the Dark pink but ordered the Lilac. I bought the everything bundle becausevI couldn't pass up the $279 bundle deal.
Hi great video did you order the other stuff that came out the box or did it come with all of it. I got mine from Michaels I haven’t opened it all all the way but when I looked on top I just saw a mat n the get started book
Oops one more thing please, what do you prefer best on the Cut Settings for Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), set it up to Premium Outdoot Vinyl or Everyday Iron-On
Hey Leanna! You don't need cartridges with this machine, it just has the capability to use them if you have them left from earlier models. You should have access to some basic designs, and of course check out the Freebie section of Design Bundles, they have some great designs you can practice with before you buy. Hope this helps! ---Becky designbundles.net/free-design-resources
Hey Lauren, Cricut used to be based on using cartridges for designs, and many crafters may still have these laying around that they want to use with the newer machines. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I actually ordered from HSN I believe? I think they were having a special. I think it just depends on what Cricut has on promotion, they often have different bundles at different vendors, but I certainly wouldn't pay extra for a bundle (vs. just the machine) because a lot of times it is material that you won't really use (hope that doesn't sound bad). Hope this helps! ---Becky
Oh! You got the same bundle I did. I made a couple of fun things with that embossed paper. It's double sided so you can make an envelope with the embossed part on the inside (to match a card!) and I made boxes for coasters. I've only had it about a month and I really love it. Enjoy! PS - I love your videos. :)
Thank you Jean! I really appreciate you checking out the video and sharing your inspiration for the embossed paper! I'm sure excited to give it a try, I'll have to make some Christmas cards! Thanks again! ---Becky
Hey Pauline and Jan, no worries, you don't really need the accessories. I'm going to link a video here that will give you my run-down of things you might need. Hope this helps! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AWWNVV0aVLM.html
