The Lions were lucky to be in that position. Ceedee fumbles at the goal line and the phantom tripping call on Dallas. This game should’ve been 27-13 Dallas with the easy win. 20-13 at worst. On top of that they had 2 more chances to get it in the end zone. Micah jumped offsides on an interception that would’ve ended the game as well. After that they should’ve took the extra point and OT but they tried for 2 AGAIN, and failed. So the refs didn’t hand the victory to Dallas.

I wish someone would have mentioned the countless times where a phantom pass interference was called in the endzone at the end of games where the refs handed the losing team the ball on the 1 yard line to get the easy win. Or when that rams cb hit sticked a saints receiver before the ball got there on an easy game winning touchdown and didn't call anything . There has been countless times that a ref handed the win to another team

If anyone in Detroit wants to blame someone for their loss then blame their coach. Either he intentionally tried to deceive the Cowboys and the world (which should end his career) or he did not coach his players well enough to make it clear for EVERYONE who the eligible player was. He ordered not one, not two, but three two point conversions attempts in a row when a simple extra point was all he needed to go to OT and show the world that his team is really the better team. The Detroit fans should be screaming about how incompetent (or dishonest) their coach was and how HE got caught in front of the world instead of blaming the refs. The good head coaches don't lose because of their emotion, they rely on a cool head to make critical decisions and win. The Lions coach should admit his poor (or dishonest) coaching instead of hiding behind the blame of someone else. (If there is a conspiracy to help the Cowboys win then why did the refs make an erroneous tripping call which killed their chances of winding down the clock or get another touchdown to end the game.)

I don't think people really understand why that tripping call was so important. The cowboys got called on a tripping call that gave the opportunity for lions to come back and score. That tripping was not committed by a cowboy, it was by Hutchinson a lion. That was crucial at the end! To me, that is far more obvious of the refs incompetence

Stepen A's logic makes no sense. The refs altered the game when they called the tripping penalty on the wrong team! If the refs get that call correct, the game is over. The Cowboys run the ball three times and score a touchdown or kick a field goal, but also cause Detroit to use up the last of their timeouts and they run the clock down and end the game. What Stephen is saying makes no sense logically.

If we’re going to analyze every single play, the refs missed about 12 holding calls on the Lions, they had an illegal formation other than sending 70 over to report after 68 reported which confused the refs, and despite the complaints, the lions still had 3 more chances to win the game. Dallas helped them with a defensive penalty, their TE dropped a pass that hit him right in the hands then they messed up the onside kick. To me, they have no one but themselves to blame.

The only time in recent memory I can think of the officials robbing a team at the last second of the game, it was the Rams-Saints NFC Championship and that horrendous missed PI call. And that wasn’t even on a scoring play to take the lead. Much bigger stakes with that one obviously, but if the Lions get the win against Dallas, they are the 2 seed. But because a referee made a mistake, Dallas is now the 2 seed. Cowboys are definitely lucky. Combine that with the fact that a 10-1 team in their division suddenly went 1-4 in their last 5 games to even give Dallas a chance to win the division. How often does a 10-1 team do that? And yes, Dallas has had one of the most favorable schedules in the NFL this season. I love how everyone wants to ignore the validity of Stephen A’s points and just lazily call him a hater. He makes perfect sense with what he is saying. He isn’t even making biased points. They are all objectively correct.
