I agree completely. The one time I was in a jury box they made me loudly state my name and address to the courtroom. I ultimately got released as I could not be fair and impartial in that case. I hated that whole experience and was shaking when I left.
Apparently, the judge has ordered media outlets to stop broadcasting any details about jurors that could potentially lead to their identities being revealed. Personally, I would enjoy seeing reporters, editors and media executives from any outlet having published or broadcasting this type of information to be jailed for the duration of the trial. And as much as they would want to argue it, this is not a public interest matter and neither is it an infringement of First Amendment freedoms. The personal well-being of the jurors and their continued ability to live their lives without being harassed or intimidated has to take the highest priority.
