It seriously is high school all over again YIKES. They ALL win with higher ticket prices and more people coming to the games. GIVE THE ROOKIES THEIR DUE.
@@MJ-uf9tlthey struggle to live in reality! They make up a fantasy and call it their truth! They play gods and suck at it! They rely on the unreliable!
Then Becky will remind you A. The Aces vs the Mercury had 17406 in attendance at the TMobile arena in September 2023. B. The Aces vs the Mercury this season had over 10,000 present in the first matchup, over 11000 in the second and over 13000 in the third. C. The first match between the Aces and the Fever this year drew 10399. D. 90 dollar tickets are nice but neither the Aces nor the Mercury actually need Caitlin because their average attendance this year is almost 10000 a game
@@TheMeefivefacts! But, at the end of the day, it’s all about the money. Which one do you think the Welfare NBA like more, 20K attendance at $12-$20 nosebleed seats OR $90+ nosebleed seats at 20K attendance? I hate this Welfare League, I am not a fan, but no one can deny, that this young lady is boosting the ticket sales from bargain price to premium price. If 10K show up at the game at $12 a seat versus 5K attendance at $90+…its basic math, that’s all it is. She’s NOT the best, fact, BUT she sells tickets at higher prices…FACT! I’m not even her fan. I don’t like this league, it’s a joke.
The Aces drew 20,366 fans at home vs. the Fever 7/2/24. Their next best draw was 17,406 on 9/10/23 vs. Mercury. Next is 12,927 on 9/13/23 in a playoff game. After that, the next best draw was 10,424 last month vs. Liberty. So while they may have come close to filling a smaller stadium before, they have come nowhere near the 7/2/24 crowd. They have an amazing team…but let’s be honest: Clark has doubled attendance in this league when the Fever plays popular teams. When they play lesser teams…she’s still filling stadiums. Just embrace it!
That's not as big a deal as you think. Each team plays the Fever 4 times so for 36 games the smaller teams still play to middling crowds. Overall they're still losing money. Caitlin is great for the Fever financially but for everyone else her presence in the league is insignificant.
That's almost a $2 million dollar gate versus a $350k gate for one game, not counting TV and gamepass. Revenue from two home games against the fever make payroll for the whole season. The same 6x effect that you see in the All-Star voting should carry over to league revenue if they have people slightly more rational and objective than Becky Hammond in the front office.
That sounds good in everything but the truth is the NBA has been growing for some time now they started out with 4000 and now they're up over 10 and that was without Caitlin so she is definitely a major contributor however when you hear things like the WNBA will be nothing without her or will go back to shambles that could not be further from the truth. Caitlin has definitely been a major contributor WNBA does not depend on her to and would be fine if she were not here. At this point versation of attendance is getting old now it should be about what's happening between those lines and the court.
Does it pain you to know that there are a lot of players play basketball better than her also. This is the world we live in where popularity sometimes get you further in some people's minds but in competition it's about winning and losing and being good at your craft, it's about dominance. Money never hurt anyone though.
@@bobby12348 many folks are though just wait and see if the Aces have to move arenas when Angels team visits if they don't then that should tell you something
How many times does someone supposed to keep getting her credit I would be tired if someone was asking me the same questions all the time. Do you go to your parents everyday and tell them thank you for giving you life do you go to the person who hired you at work and thank them everyday for making it possible for you to live the lifestyle you live?
The fever ha been given the golden goose. Every other team gets crumbs that fall from the Fever's table. Out of 20 home games, teams play the Fever twice. Do you really think that makes a difference in overall attendance and finances?
@@JohnProph lol. Growing how? After 26 yrs, they’re barely hanging on to their chump change salary, subsided by the NBA. AND, crying for equal pay!!! That league, along with other womens’ welfare league, are not making money. Where are all the feminists? Women failed women’s sports, NOT men!!!- Bill Burr
@@jasonj7755 in fairness they did sell 15 of their 20 home games, but none of their players will attract anyone to their away games. AND they’re only sold out at the Michalob Utra Arena, NOT at the T-Mobile Arena. There’s no other player in the Welfare NBA that will cause them to move to a bigger venue. Maybe Angel Reese will attract fans VS A’Ja Wilson…maybe. That remains to be seen. Also, the basic seat price was, on their “sold out” home games, at $12-$20 on average versus last game with the Fever at $94 basic seats.
Hammon knows that Clark brought that crowd in. She is jealous and can't admit it. I know one thing, I never tuned in to watch Hammon play, however, I will watch CC every chance I get. Hammon can go kick rocks!
Coach Hammon had the nerve to say "wWe came close to filling the stadium last few years, yeah but you didn't until Caitlin Clark arrived...sorry it was definitely the Caitlin Clark effect
I don't want to wait that long but as said Simon has plenty of money .. now wait a sec on that one.. Simon is an investor, he is making money, money is the object.. he own's the NBA team.... hm .. now his money from his NBA is coming in and he is giving it to the MNBA to keep them going as they bring in NO MONEY and he is awaiting for the golden goose? maybe.. and there she is.. Simon doesn't protect her, he doesn't give her a good coach, he doesn't care about his fans that bring him money...... he's quiet... does nothing.. go figure! This game brought in more money than any other game that they have played and Mr. Simon does not say one word to the WNBA who went on yesterday about 50 minutes and never even whispered Caitlin's name. If someone really hurts her, I pity them and the WNBA.
Fagbenle 1-7, Samuelson 1-6 and 0-4 3pt, Wallace 1-4 and 0-2 3pt, Smith 2-7 and 1-7 free throws. You cant win when u miss that many shots. CC wasnt exactly stellar either but 11 assists makes up for it somewhat
@@timothywdillon121 it doesn’t matter if she’s good or not. What matters is she’s selling tickets right now. Her fans through good and bad games, will show up. I am not defending her or arguing that she’s the best ever, Welfare League player. I don’t even like this league. I personally think it’s a joke for the past 26 yrs. NO ONE CARED. Until now. Bottom line is she’s a walking ATM for the Welfare League. That’s it. What business owner and employees would hate on that?
Wow. It was killing her to admit that the venue was MOVED and over half the people were there because of Clark. Honestly, what is the harm in admitting that, put a smile on your face that your team won and enjoy life in the WNBA instead of thinking that being resentful is somehow going to change the past or the present?
So will the conversation continue to be how many people are or are not giving credit to Caitlin Clark at some point this has to go back to about the basketball. The conversation is old now nobody cares, the woman has contributed greatly and it's evident, time to move on now. I'm starting to think this is just used to deflect how she really compares to the upper echelon talent in the league, which everyone can see there's a medium to large margin there.
@@hottrakz you make good points but us women see things a little deeper . We don’t care about whether or not she gives her credit we are focused on the why not. She is being overly protective of her own players and unable to admit Caitlin is bringing the game alive. If I have 5 kids and one is exceptional . I don’t hold her back by not acknowledging her accomplishments I find other ways to keep my other children’s spirits up by addressing their strengths but I give credit where credit is due.
Vegas is a good team, however, Fever will be a Great team next year when all the drama fades away and they can focus on playing the game. Kudos to Vegas for playing a tuff game last night. The Fever will recoup, analyze, and redirect their talent and the next game against Vegas will be a wonderful game to watch. In the meantime, stadiums will have to be bigger, tickets will be higher, and the fans will keep growing. And everyone involved will make more money than ever. When CC is in town It Is the Ticket that everyone wants to have have.
She wan not throwing "Shade", she was throwing "Monkey Shit" at Caitlin. What they should say is "Thank you Caitlin for finally getting White people to watch the WNBA after 27 years". PS now that we are here we will change EVERYTHING back to Rules and Regulations and Referees that actually call fouls regardless whose "Feelings" it hurts.
If anyone notices that, every time fever play the best teams there shots never go in. When they play bad teams they're shots go in. Plus, against good teams, because of crowds, they play CC like the playoffs. Thats crazy.
Please understand that CC game has to improve so the Fever can get better. Her selling tickets does no good if she chooses not to improve. Fever was overmatched with the Aces. They couldn't keep up and play defense
Aces home base is the Michelob Ultra Arena. The capacity for this arena is 12,000 seats. Average attendance for last 5 Aces home games is 10,300. Fever/Aces game moved to T-Mobile Arena. The capacity for this arena is 20,000 seats. The attendance for this game is 20,366.
That coach did not give Caitlin her propers. The game did not sell out for any other reasons than fans wanted to see the phenomenal Caitln Clark. Coach was being loyal to her players. In any case, you play the Fever, you will attract record crowds. GO FEVER!!!
They have no choice but to give CC credit. 22,000 people are not showing up for the Aces game. I read somewhere that the casinos give out free tickets to the Aces games, so the sold-out crowds are not legitimate.
Do you know how many free tickets the casinos give out when the Aces play the Mercury? Because in September 2023 they drew 17406 to the t-mobile arena. The three times they played this year they drew over 10000, over 11000 and over 13000. That would be a ton of free tickets.
The Acers and Becky Hammon are the funnest. All year you have not had that many fans at a game. The best you could do was 10,500 at your arena. Clark effect is real.
Happy Birthday Jon!! They just need to let Clark, Boston, and Mitchell do the interviews; less bullsh!t. All Sides can say "we've got to do better" ... But, she Never gets better. I think Sides should just be a team cheerleader. That's what she reminds me of! Not a fan of listening to A'ja either.
Biggest crowd in 25 years? That's a Silver Anniversary for 20,000+ fans at a WNBA game! Las Vegas bookies already giving odds when this 25-year record gets broke.
Come on you are all in the league to make it something better. Anytime someone comes into the leagues and elevates the game, the fan base, the perception it is a great thing. Get over it and same something. I am so glad she is here, and what she brings to the game. She is a fierce competitor and we looked forward to seeing he on the floor and going toe to toe with her and the fever team. I always love competitive games and the crowd that it draws. They feed on us and we feed on them cause we want to give them the best game possible and show them what all these ladies are made of. And I am grateful for her entry into this league and the opportunity to showcase not only her skill set but all the skillsets that exists in the WNBA amongst such a wide variety of players.
W players have babies. They come back. Just like in real life. Women can have children and still have their life. I hope I don’t sound rude. I’m really not trying to be mean, just saying. I have no clue but I would a pregamcy would restrict play for about 9 months? 3 months in and and 3 months after..not really my business,..I feel weird
WMBA should protect thier star players specially Caitlin Clark against the "unintentional" fouls before they lose good investments... if that's how capitalism works. They're relevant now because people love to watch Caitlin play.
Becky was on about making money Caitlin has done that for the WNBA plus added to new viewers gave young people a great role model and yes there are other good role models so for the rest of the coaches snubbing her look at extra money she has brought and the excitement after saying that she is a great player.
AS YOU HEARD IT AS JUST AS MANY WAS CHEERING FOR ACES TEAM THAN CAITLIN. ACES I AM PROUD OF YOU PLAYING OUTSTANDING DEFENSE AGAINST THE FEVERS THE CROWD WAS CHEERING FOR YOU JUST AS MUCH FOR CAITLIN CLARK 😊 WOW GOOD JOB.😊
This will go away after the first year. College is over it’s big girl grown woman basketball. She’ll be a decent average player because they are not letting her do what she wants like college teams
