Two of them have only 1 game played between them this year. Started watchn few yrs ago bc of Dawn and SC . Not jus Catlin. Do we remember Maya Moore, Holdsclaw, B Stuart Candance and DT. They were balln b4 Catlin. She and Those LSU ladies got everyone excited abt women's bball last season and SC again this season also. Iowa was there but came up short twice

@LiquidSoul06 no player in wnba history has faced the defensive pressure CC has thats a fact. You put her on a team that eases that pressure and she is top 3 in the league guaranteed. If you team can knock down shots the other team can't double and triple team you and can't face guard you 90 feet up and down the court.

The difference is they came from overpaid campaigns where there is no cap on recruiting college talent. Caitlin could have played for UCONN, but she chose Iowa, closer to home.

Old, injured, and underperforming... that's the criteria USA Basketball used to select the Olympic team. Their explanations don't pass the sniff test. Caitlin is white, straight, easy on the eyes, classy, and highly marketable, apparently at least 3 strikes against her. Oh yes, she's clearly a better player than multiple players who did get selected. I detect some envy and resentment by the selection committee.

Apart from going against tradition, and not including any young players, Caitlin's stats stack up against any of the other guards. How many of the other guards are being picked up from their own goal? How many are being double teamed in the scoring half. How many of their shots have been open? Considering the 'Special Treatment' Caitlin receives, she is still breaking rookie records, and in the middle of the rankings of the guards being picked!
I am being honest, I never watch the WNBA but if I see CC and her team are on I will put the game on TV. She is bringing more interest to the WNBA that no one has in 20 years!

Christian L. was only selected because of a deal they had with the Olympic Committee because thst was the first time professionals were allowed to participate. So they wanted to have one amateur on the team.
Two years ago in the finals of ncaa tournament i was watching mainly because Iowa was playing. I didn't even know who Angel Reese was until the Final, and i didn't care either.

I didn't know any of the women's names, except Brandy for being busted in Russia, Caitlin is the only reason I watch the game and 10,000's are like me. This is a lose-lose-lose situation. The players obviously have a huge say in team selection, (which should not be the case) its a olympic gold medal for who ever gets on the team. current team members will not want to give that up, from their perspective, why should they. Selection process should not be dictated by players !
