I do NOT want to switch over to this EA app. Absolutely not. The nightmares and headaches I hear from PC players has me so concerned about whether or not I'll comfortably be able to play my game.

Ea app logs you out randomly so restart the app, then launch the game again and take 2 should work. If it glitches restart your computer. Good old "turn it off and back on again" tech hack.

I'm gonna be sassy about werewolves for a sec as an occult stan, but I still love the werewolves we got and recognize their addition to the occult world: If they're such a great occult, why are they constantly rampaging and there's no work around even with cheats just making bugs worse, only mods could fix it when I still played TS4. I genuinely think the temperament thing ruins werewolves unlike how temperaments improve the messy celebrities. I genuinely prefer the double-edged sword of vampirism or celebrity quirks or the fear of overcharging to death or worse nightwraith. The doggo angwy must boof got OLD. I can't have fun with werewolves by themselves they have to be in an occult household or one of my sim's pet husbands. The added traits are a HEADACHE. Can only sleep during the day? Seriously? Or doggo a boofer cant work womp womp. It's a literal dog as a sim person and it doesn't work even though literal pets in the sims 2 could work. Instead it feels like *I'm* being punished for the werewolf being a werewolf like I failed to raise a puppy correctly, not the were being a long face sad boy but with great powers like Greg. I think weres missed my mark, but are a beautiful and very welcome step forward from TS3 weres. I honestly wouldn't want official EA fairies. They're gonna get mermaid kelpped real hard no lubricant. The aliens I appreciate being Human+, from an evolution perspective it makes sense that ape-adjacent animals that evolved similarly but separately wouldn't be much more than us. They glow and have some brain power beyond ours makes sense they're not superpowered, they're "realistic" for what an alien actually is, but mermaids? OUCH. The hesitation they have with the fae makes me think no one on the team is passionate about them, like merfolk, and would get shafted harder than a car which typically has 2 shafts fyi and is also being shafted by EA so 3 shafts. SpinningPlumbobs ' Fairies vs. Witches mod has been around for years.

He’s had this mod along with other occult mods for a very good while. But I’m super excited for this 2.0 version of his Witches vs Fairies, because Expanded Mermaids 2.0 was very good and still use to this day. So, very excited to play and full on play with them.

I literally wont even play it anymore once they make the mac switchover to the ea app. I barely play it now as is....but ive only heard bad things about the ea app. And i would LOVE fairies but i feel like it wont be executed well with this team. Spellcasters are my favorite occult, even though the new world was underwhelming to me, i loved the gameplay, learning spells and potions and reading tomes etc was very fun to me.

Fairies vs Witches- One of the BEST gameplay MODs out there. I started out using this about two weeks ago and if anybody hasn't tried this mod yet, it is a lot of fun. SpinningPlumbob did a really good job on this mod. Despite the fact that it is based on Realm of Magic, and that does leak through a bit, it is different enough that you don't feel like you are just playing ROM with different looking characters. The fairies are exceptional. And anybody who wants fairies, well here you go. Absolutely fantastic. Why EA can't do stuff like this...

Honestly if they did come out with a Faries expansion/game pack, I don't think I'd buy it especially after what happened with for rent and crystal creations

The fact that theres a free kit that console player's just can't get is so annoying.

Most of my issue with the EA app is when all the packs do not load and it is just base game. I quit the game then the app when I try again it is fixed.

I’m a Mac OS die user and I actually don’t want this. Im very nervous. I’ve spent so much money on the game and I just don’t want it to mess up

Hasn’t a fairy mod been around for quite awhile? i honestly could care less about faries or genies. If they can do spellcasters, they can do faries, just add wings. I just don’t trust them to adda broom to the game without bugging out the game, let alone a whole occult. And it has to do with how much spaghetti code there is at this point. Anything they add to the plate feels risky at this point. Honestly the EA app and Origin have been equal experiences to me. Started playing Sims 4 on Mac, but it was old and got a PC for other games and moved Sims 4 over to the newer machine. I’ve had problems with the game, but besides being invasive and a giant advertisement monster that forces itself open every time I boot up my computer it hasn’t ever not worked. The game working consistently without lag is another story.

I did have a few issues with EA on my non gaming laptop. It only had 8gb Ram & 128gb sd storage. Sometimes I would have to restart my laptop after just turning it on so the sims play button would appear. Or when downloading a new pack or updating my game it would get stuck on “preparing to download” & I would have to either clear the cache in the EA app or restart my computer. One time I had an error message in the EA app for daysss & couldn’t play, I dont even remember how I solved it. But since getting my gaming laptop the only issue I’ve had is the “preparing to downloading” idk if the EA app has gotten a little better over time or if it depends on the specs of your pc

Great video, Yin. It amazes me how much immersion modders have added. However, these are things Sims Team should have already done.

I just got my first macbook (12 years old) the performance is amazing, far superior to newer Windows PCs ive played on in the past. I am now slightly terrified of what is inevitably about to unfold.

I still have to run the EA App as administrator, if I don't the app is laggy and it throttles my downloads.

i have all of the dlc's for free with anadius and now im f*cked cause there's not a dlc unlocker for the ea app on Mac and idk what to do😭😭😭

the only issue i have with the EA app is slow updating/downloads... i also just can't buy anything else until they fix the game. they need to take a break from putting out cash grab packs and fix those bugs and glitches

I recently learned that with EA APP I cannot use old create a world tool for the sims 3, because when I click - EDIT IN GAME, the EA APP says I do not have access to this content or something like that. I really doubt that they will ever patch this problem (it's been like this from the begining of ea app), because who cares about the old games, right?

What happens to our packs that we have on origin? Cause that is hundreds of dollars I’m not wasting 😢

Origin has been such a nightmare for me as a Mac user so I hope the EA app does better 😭
