She is not making good coaching calls. Listening to her speak to players in time outs, she isnt helping them, she is trying to "inspire them" but they dont need that, they need a coach who runs specific plays.

The offense needs to run through Clark. She's the most prolific score in college basketball history, male or female. The other players just have to deal with it. This is their job, this is not for fun anymore. They have an opportunity to actually make this league financially legit.
Ruining Bostons game for CC. She'had to change her game for CC. Boston is a back down post. She is used now to get Clark open on screens. Putting her outta position for rebounds. Then she plays so high up now off the post she has to dribble to the paint. Sc let her set up in the paint. She playing a totally different game because CC can't create her own shoot.

I don’t get many of Side’s decisions. Her effing around w/ Clark’s position, her effing around w/ lineups, her bad call to bench Clark and Smith in the 4th and once things started getting away not putting them back in, not playing Berger when they needed her defensively, her constant preference for Wheeler (WHY) and her preference for Boston, although not for most of the game tonight except for when she didn’t help while others were benched. A young team NEEDS a coach w/ winning experience and no pets!
Having two guards that are 5’7” or so is bad roster construction in my opinion and Boston has been a disaster. No matter what fans say Clark has underwhelmed also. 6 turnovers a game and 32% from 3 ,40% overall & 5.8 assists with zero defense is not what people were expecting. We all thought she was going to avg 25pts 8 assists and bomb away after leading college in both categories avg 32 a game. She came in with the highest expectations of any wnba player ever and looks ok to decent when we were expecting greatness.

AB in/ Temmie out on the side and post inbound plays at the end, Wallace instead of taller players (Katie, Lexie) inbounding the ball - criminal. Add the fact that they are the worst D in the league and a defensive player of the year - Taylor - is on the bench.It's a Sides crime spree. smh

That inbounds play at 14 seconds was terrible, lot of activity but no screens. Why not set up a double screen instead of expecting the players to get free on their own? And for once Sides was right when she said that inbound pass was a second late and guess what? Used the same player, Wallace, to inbound second pass & again she was a second late with it and it was slightly behind Clark. Not sure why Clark got the TO and not Wallace. I mean, Clark was athletic enough to reach back and kind of stop the ball, although kind of ended up being a loose ball that she was able to get to Boston.
Did this Coach even watch Caitlin in College?? Does she realize caitlin had many game winning shots?? Did she see that she had a Coach and Team that loved, supported, believed and most importantly had her back. That is the difference between winning and losing.
It’s bad when your own coach can’t stand to let the horse run free. Many people that played ball as a child and were pretty good at it can at least see what is going on. You contribute have all the stats for minutes played but for whatever reason that one coach has to reign it all in. I’m not saying that is the only thing going on with the Fever….i saw the end of a recent game where CC fed the ball to post player off a double team perfect pass and she missed directly under the rim. If the coach works off emotion you would think she would be ticked about a lay up….instead she sat CC who drew the double team and made a great pass. Coach is going to have to get past whatever is bothering her mentality for success. Note I’m not saying she doesn’t know how to coach I’m saying she knows exactly what she is doing. I’m getting a little frustrated just like the rest of the fans. I hope they get it straightened out because from where I’m sitting, Clark is doing very well considering. So as much as Ms coach wants to say she ain’t ready yet…..she sure is padding the stats for the team she’s playing for.
The excitement and expectations coming in were much higher than for those Cowboys. Nobody is waiting around for 3-4 years for this team to get good. This is the wnba not the nfl. The hype is dying with each loss.
I think the other issue is Christie wants to be the highlight of the Fever but that is not going to happen. CC is the leader and if CS would just get on board and coach from that perspective the fever would win.
Whatever the case with Sides. Replace with a coach who either knows what they are doing, and/or is not sandbagging, for whatever reason, and wants nothing but to win. Maybe a great, retired, NBA coach that wants to be charitable, if there are any.

Clark should have never gone to this team. A coach works with what they have, a coach knows what positions are best for the players they have. A 0-5 start is not good, but a team takes time to work problems out, and the coach can either solve the problems or create them.

Let Caitlin lead and the team will come up to her level. The coach does needs to understand this. Clark made Iowa team mates better by leading. The coach does not understand the dynamics of coaching. Sides may have the title but not the ability to identify with coaching. She will end up hurting Clark.
I'm not sure what is going on with Sides. Why did she once again move Clark from the point guard to the shooting guard? Was it because of her ankle? Is it because she doesn't really know what to do with a player like Clark? They are getting better but they still need to improve, and that includes coaching.
after watching the latest condensed loss. no defense. do not use screens enough to set up shots and coach does not utilize the right players in key situations so if they keep doing this and hoping for a win then the coach is insane lol and they should finish 0-40
The Fever are not built well to many guards not enough Centers and forwards Boston has no athleticism no explosiveness this is an absolute DISASTER right when the WNBA was about to take off
People don’t know basketball. The coach is going offense/defense. CC is kind of a liability on the defensive end. That’s why. Also she was out for 2 minutes & people are going wild over that.
It's tough because Clark had played most of the 2nd half at the point she went to the bench. They probably should have given her a quick breather earlier in the quarter instead of the 5 minute mark of the 4th. They have to give her some rest so they don't run her into the ground.

I get that Sides is trying to figure out how things should fit. I may not agree with it, but I get it. The problem is she seems to lack the feel for the game. That's been evident in her trivial rotations. It's not even so much the rotations themselves, but the timing of them. She has pulled players that were starting to heat up on multiple occasions. That just screams lack of awareness.

Get boston and samuelson in better shape so that they can run the court up and down at clarks pace..if they play at CC s pace , if she builds an offensive around CC and her playing, passing skills they will go from night to day..she is holding CC and the team back…at one point CC scored two threes and a two in just 14 seconds when she got on her rhythm..why would you bring her in to continue to play Mitchell and Ericka..as point guards..taylor is a super good defense player and she is waisting innthe bench…so sad…and she can run CCs pace…do not understand the coach..they should have picked another player really..

What's Clark shooting...about 30%. She's not used to the pro game and is forcing shots. She needs time and a better front line. The coach is not why they are losing. They had #1 pick because they were worst team in the league last year. It's hard to win with a lack of talent .
Long time Fever fan here. Sides has got to go! Heck, Lin Dunn, come down from the office and take it back over. Sides' ego is off the charts. Poor choices. Boston is too slow in her current shape to keep up. Where is Berger? Celeste? "Trying to figure it out." SMH. Figure out how to FIRE sides. Find a coach who understands how to utilize CC best and put in players who will battle for rebounds.
Might just be me,I thing it would be hard to get in the flow of the game when you are being yank in and out. Might be roll for some players but don't think it's a good roll for your starters.
