all units leak but they take a long time- cost of new unit vs $9 refrigerant, a tap and gauges and vacuum pump can be rented or u can buy them for 100 bucks and work on all acs. plus once tapped you add dye and or user an electronic sniffer if you know how to silver solder jut put the valves in

Thanks for the video my man. Just hearing about the troubleshooting process gave me ab idea to bypass my surge protector (after confirming it had correct wiring) and my cool air began to flow again. I belive it was the compressor not coming on. I had already tried a breaker flip with thr surge protector in line and it didnt make a difference.
We did a second video where we upgraded ours to a heat pump unit. It is really nice when we are on full hookups not to have to use the propane furnace.
