I really appreciate the thread-burner technique for joining a new thread! Joining threads is one of my least favorite parts of beading. I now have a new thread-burner and am practicing making the knots. Thank you!!!

This looks fun, but tedious. Great for TV watching. I'm wondering if you have a grid pdf so we can make our own patterns in our prefeed colors. That would be a great help. Thanks for sharing how it's done.

Hi there. We don't have a pattern for this, but we do offer free printable seed bead graph paper so you can make any size you like in any colors. Here's a link to that www.firemountaingems.com/resources/encyclobeadia/charts/9201

Hi. Rose. I think I'm really going to enjoy this series. Thanks for doing it. One comment, though. I had some trouble following along because of the camera changes from down view to side view and back again. In the side view, your left hand blocks the view of what you're doing. I think sticking with the down view would make the tutorials much easier to follow.

My ladder stitching is always lose and wonky. I try holding it different ways. Adjusting the tension. This will be a good project for me. I always tighten up the stitching after a few rows of the main stitches. I need to know your secret for consistent tension and which thread weight is best for which project. I have watched a lot of you tubers but I am a life long patron of FMG&B. Please impart your wisdom Thanks. I'm having fun
@rosewingenbach8501
@rosewingenbach8501 2 года назад
Oh my goodness! Impart my wisdom? LOL! Tension is hard, but it is a lot easier with these big cylinder shaped Delicas. Thread weight depends on how big the hole size is and how many passes will have to go through it. I usually use 4lb Fireline, or an equivalent. Thanks for watching.

Hi Rose, great job with this project!!!! May I ask what type of needles you're using and what size fireline?
@rosewingenbach8501
@rosewingenbach8501 2 года назад
Because the holes are so big in these #8 Delicas you could use almost any needle or size of Fireline, but I was using size 11 needles and 4 lb Fireline. Happy beading!

Love this star. I have a couple questions. Is the pattern available and/or what kind of graph paper did you use to create the pattern? Thanks for the instructions. I haven't tried quilling with beads yet.
@rosewingenbach8501
@rosewingenbach8501 2 года назад
I used peyote graph paper to create the design. You should be able to find the pattern when you search NA22 on the firemountaingemsandbeads website, and if not it will be there soon :) Thanks for the note.

I had trouble finding the PDF pattern at first! It is the last item listed on the materials list! Hope this helps 💖
