Agreed. Keeping the house clean and having six kids cooking etc is already a lot of work. On top of that being a teacher?! Breastfeeding alone is draining. I don't believe I could do that. I'm very happy with my two children.

I love being more health conscious! I used to be too health conscious where I would lose my mind if someone gave my kid a sip of kool aid. It came from a place of control and not trusting in God. We just do the best we can to raise our kids better than we were and to have better eating habits. We can just leave the slip ups and inconsistencies to God. Pray over your food! There is a reason we need to do that ❤ I love your video and it’s so encouraging to me as I meal prep!😊
I love this video. I relate so much to everything you mentioned. It is easy to let being “healthy” take way too much from us. It is hard when you find one thing and are brave enough to cut it out then you are bombarded with sooooo much information and everything starts looking toxic or unhealthy. I am really interested in making my own bread. I have never tried to make bread beyond holiday pumpkin bread. I know we wont enjoy sourdough, i need to do more searching on just regular white sandwich bread recipes. I cant wait for more videos.
Venison for dinner has a wonderful soft sourdough that’s wonderful. It’s more like sandwich bread and it can be used for cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, hoagies or whatever . Very versatile!!
In a pinch the Perdue Gluten-free nuggets are pretty clean no vegetable oil and weird ingredients also the chosen foods avocado oil is pretty good and clean but you're right its definitely easier and cheaper homemade
I always find myself not paying attention to my grocery list too! 😄 and end up getting lots of things not on the list! The family gobbles up everything there is to eat so at least none of it goes to waste!
Tabitha, learning how to implement a new healthy eating plan is super hard, requires LOTS of HOMECOOKING but is so beneficial because you are controlling the ingredients. Good luck in getting organized, and went through this process this years ago, yes took years to get it together but has been totally worth it
Just found your channel, I too have to walk a fine line between what my family loves to eat, what they will eat, and what's healthy. On oils, I finally came down on production method, rather than the base plant. There is olive oil out there chemically leached from pulp, My rule is if the oil was made by expeller extraction, I'm good. A local farm produces sunflower oil, and I use it happily. That still rules out most purchased baked goods on a regular basis. I make Frugal Fit Mom's oatmeal bread and it is a winner around here.
Meijer also has a scan and go … it’s just a little different instead of paying on phone you go through the instacart line or any line an scan the icon an pay at register n then leave ..
Ok for real. Your channel is my FAVORITE. I can relate to you soo much. I have 4 littles all a year apart. I absolutely love watching your videos. So thank you!! We don’t eat vegetable oil/canola oil. We also don’t eat soybean oil or palm oil. We do however eat sunflower oil. I found a few brands of bread that don’t have that in it, but we have 4 kids and it is soooo expensive. Like why 😭😭 We use Hellmans Vegan mayo. Tastes great! Free of all the things. Anyway. Loved the fly lady series. Excited for this one. I have fallen off track with meal planning and I hope to get back into it!
I totally agree about produce from Aldi!! Some things like cabbage and sweet potatoes are fine, but anything that spoils quicker normally is a no for me from Aldi because it will spoil before the week is over!

Do you have a Kroger by you? We buy a Simple Truth Organic Sprouted bread from there that doesn't have seed oils or soybeans(like Ezekiel). It regularly goes on sale for $3/$3.50 a piece. 😊

First time commenting here but have been watching for years. You talking about your children’s Easter baskets spoke to me. It seems weird to me to give presents for Easter. I think it‘s great that your doing an Easter Egg Hunt. I‘m 31 years old, youngest of three children. Every year, my siblings and I come home for Easter and we‘re still doing Easter Egg Hunts. I think it’s a great tradition. The day doesn’t need presents to be special. I wouldn‘t even give your kids money. I think the warmies are cute and metaphorically speaking I think it really goes with this church holiday since they provide warmth and comfort. It’s not about Money… :) Apart from that: Thank you for sharing birth stories and videos. It sounds weird but it really meant a lot to me that you allowed me to share this moment. It also encouraged me that I can get through labour too (not pregnant but we‘re almost starting to try). Basically I‘m sending love. :)
They have scan and go for the cafe now too. So you can order while you shop and then go pick it up. Without waiting in line.....lifesaver for the weekends

I absolutely love the scan and go at Sam’s. We have been using it for months now. I have a bread recipe that my kids absolutely love, and it makes great french toast too. Meijers has a vegan mayo, but I use the Helmans with canola oil. I know you said you wanted to avoid canola oil, but that is the only one that doesn’t have soy bean oul, outside of the vegan one that has avocado oil. Meijers also has some great gluten free chicken nuggets and also the cauliflower chicken strips are really good.
Good Morning I have two recommendations for you 1st my favorite bread recipe is from Montana Haven here on you tube I make it in a Dutch oven 2nd when making sandwich bread for children try the King Arthur Flour tin bread pan with lid.
Have you tried looking up Flav City? He gives great information on healthy eating including what to eat that containes good oil like avacado and olive oil. I don’t have a sams club but costco has some great options and great prices

Idk why I’ve never thought of using Cole slaw mix on our tacos! Also that Jam is the best brand of jam ever. Anytime they have it at our Costco I get at least two lol. And I need to get that meal planner 👌

At the age of 30 years old, that's when you will notice, different things takes place. ( I didn't know a lot at the time I was sick with processed foods, until I changed my lifestyle change in 2013 ). And I did a lot of research daily and to this day, I still research on a daily basis. If I knew what, I know now, I would NEVER FEED my family these toxic Processed foods. Our kids are aware of food now, actually our daughter is very food conscious or son well he knows what to do. I know everybody situation different, but I hope people will change the foods; they eat.

I've been making sourdough sandwich bread and I think it is a better texture than regular yeast bread. I use my freshly ground flour and it is a great bread for rolls and all. I found a no knead recipe so it's the easiest thing ever! I tried to find it to share, but I can't seem to find the recipe again.
If you find a bread recipe I’d love to hear it mentioned in a video!! I’m in the same exact boat. Trying to cut out oils but my hubby doesn’t like my homemade bread.😂😂😂 I need to find a better recipe.
