I'm British and there's no way this was 14.600, domestic scoring at its finest! But Jess is looking amazing at this point in the season, I'm excited to see what she can do this year!
@@rollercoasterlou8070 I didn’t say it wasn’t a good routine. I just have sense. oh right, you’d give a 14.250… who cares??? ur lack of knowledge about gymnastics scoring is ur problem, but don’t act like u know she’d get a 8.5+ E score for this when everyone who has a little sense and knowledge knows she absolutely WOULDN’T
@@mustawgym Ok First of all shut the f up stop trying to be smart with me ive been watching gymnastics since i was two and i know what good routines look like so shut up
That's slightly generous, but not a lot. I think 14.4 would be a more reasonable score for this performance, as I had it at 8.6ish myself (hard to see certain things in the video so I deducted anyway, just to see what a tough score would be).
@@rafaelteixeira7961 Actually Jess has consistently scored around 14 nationally & internationally throughout 2021-22. So the actual difference is in fact 0.6. To say it's almost a full point difference is over exaggerating.
@@liukin95 i think she gan go 14, but not with this video today, her first double double was even difficult to define what was the pass and around 1:10 i would not consider her 2nd pass on the D score
@@bluepanther1013 Crossed feet -0.1, flexed feet -0.1, leg separation -0.1, exactness of the tuck position 0.1 or -0.3 (for me it was definately -0.3), low chest -0.1 and the step on the landing -0.1 = -0.6 or -0.8 just for the first pass alone !
@@rafaelteixeira7961 well it’s a Silivas so bent knees should be allowed without deductions. Her problem is she does it like a piked twisting salto where they start laid out but that’s only allowed for pike not tuck saltos. She should get deductions both for two different body positions (-.3) AND even the tuck she does do in the second salto has insufficient knee bend (-.1 or -.3). Those deductions would disappear if she did a moors plus the extra tenth of difficulty. And she obviously has the height for it so I bet the landing on the moors wouldn’t otherwise be worse than the Silivas. The only reason I can’t think of why she hadn’t upgraded to the moors yet is because her coaches are cautious of how tinkler’s career ended after doing the moors once. But Jessica had much more amplitude on her tumbling than amy ever did
@@Plaspos The code doesn't state that insufficient body position in a double salto should recieve .3 in form deductions. The judges also can't take two different deductions for two separate instances of insufficient tuck position in the same skill.
I don’t care if it was overscored, it’s fantastic and she’s looking super strong (her quads and hamstrings are insane). She’ll be a medal contender in every major competition this quad as long as she remains healthy.
She needs to figure out the first pass causing her unnecessary deductions, maybe a full twisting double layout is the better option? I don’t think the Moors is worth it but she certainly has enough height and power to do it.
Respectfully, I disagree. We know this routine / that pass scored well in big competition (the Olympics), and if you play it in slow motion it’s honestly not that messy at all. She just has a different technique on it but it’s one of my favorite double doubles at the moment
@@Elitegymnasticsfan26 It scores well (as you can see here 14.6. Is a bit questionable of a score) but her Silivas is her biggest form deduction in her routine and it’s an easy fix so that’s why I was suggesting she changes it, but I get what you’re saying.
For double saltos or saltos with L.A. turn, no deduction for insufficient exactness of tuck or pike position. So her open position is okay. The other usual deductions would apply - certainly leg separation and a small step, possibly foot form (hard to see in this video). So -0.3 maybe.
Jade also cannot dance or emote, or have anything other than tumbling... This girl has more charisma in her hand poses than Jade does in her entire body! But yes this score is high. lmao but using Robotic Poser Jade. gurl bye!
@@lalareal180 yeah, but this is so overrated, look at the silivas, for the body shape -0.3, -0.1 step, -0.1 crossed legs, -0.1 low chest, is -0.5 only for the first pass and she got 8.8E score...
@@d00f60 yeah but it's not just about the tumbling tho is it, tumbling is impressive and this routine shouldn't have beaten jades score probably, however jess is kinda more enjoyable to watch
Holy! I don’t recall saying I wanting them to do any of that. Leave their elite careers or not continue their gymnastics goals. They can do whatever they want and they’re still appreciated. So try not to take my comment so negatively or rank all over NCAA. There so many British, Canadian, French and German gymnasts in it and they’re very good. So why don’t you all just chill or stay off my comment. No one needs your negativity.
What would the d-score of this ub routine in the 2022-2024 cop be? Komova II + pak + chow/maloney + ginger Healy + ling + healy 1/2 + double tuck 1/1 I think some chinese girls could do this
Yeah this was no where close to a 14.6. I counted at least 1.5 in deductions. Also is she going for a laid out double double that she tucks down or is it just a really open tucked double double? B/c the first back full is def laid out and the second is tucked
DEFINITELY tucked. The second salto is plenty tucked to get credit for the tucked element, not laidout. And for double saltos or saltos with L.A. turn, no deduction for insufficient exactness of tuck or pike position.
This was way over scored, even the 14.100 she got at the qualifications seemed way too high of a score. This would’ve scored 13.600 at best at a world championships or the Olympics.
@@bagelized Jess has been scoring around 14 quite consistently in 2021-22, I am sure she knows that the score is higher than what she expected but but that says more about the judging than her imo.
This definitely wouldn’t score a 14.6. People don’t forget though scores will be .2 higher on BB AND FX events except for UB and VT. The D or higher bonus would make a 13.9 a 14.1.
that score is a HUGE joke. internationally, this wouldn’t reach 14.1, a 14.0ish at its maximum. I hope she knows how bad this judging was, eventho she did amazing and was clearly the winner.
@@_padfoot Yeah well judges also judge based off of difficulty, execution, etc., and when you combine all of that together, Jade is clearly the better floor worker
