honestly, she's been so overlooked. considering her overall consistency and her experience, she definitely should be on the team. my money is on her, Lu Yufei if she continues to show consistency in their selection camp, Li Shijia, and Tang Xijing. Ou Yushan if she can upgrade her vaulting and show some consistency might overtake someone in the above group. Then, outside of Fan Yilin, you probably have Guan Chenchen taking an individual spot.
@@kate74808 haha I guess I know my Chinese WAG better than I thought... it was pretty obvious to me at this point that Liu Tingting, Qi Qi, and Chen Yile were fighting uphill battles.
Wow there’s so many comments for the other gymnasts videos; I’m surprised to see none here. I haven’t heard much about Jin this week. She was very exciting to see at the American Cup last year. Very happy for her excellent finish at Nationals!
I hate that quite a lot of Chinese gymnasts took long pauses on corner or before doing any turns ... Lu Yufei, Guan Chenchen, and Ou Yushan (only on turns) does the same thing too 🤔
I think it's partly their mentality. It such shame because they have such artistic moves that are supposed to be fluid. When looking at their scores they tend to to get deductions from mainly their slow movements.
She's super consistent and has solid difficulty across all four events, and yet she's still completely overlooked and overshadowed by other great gymnasts like OYS, LTT, LYF and TXJ. She can deliver in almost any situation
It irritates the hell out of me that she basically has no shot at worlds. She outscored He Licheng on everything but UB. If the logic behind taking Licheng is that she has a Tsuk double, why not take Zhang instead? Her vault is better, and she can contribute more on beam and floor. They don't need her on UB because they have 4 other girls who are basically shoe-ins who are potential UB finalists.
Extremely overscored, should have finished 4th in the AA. Her bar routine is only 5.0 difficulty value (!!) and she's constantly muscling through, I won't be surprised if it scores a 12.9 at the Olympics. Her floor is really not that good either.
She went 8/8 which is a big deal...China is very inconsistent so they need someone like her. If they had to name the team now she would almost surely go. We will see if Qi Qi or Guan Chenchen put in upgrades on floor in which case they could pass her
@@Plaspos I wouldn't say she went 8/8, her Beam and Floor on Day 2 wasn't good enough, and while her vaulting at this competition was good for where the other Chinese girls are at, it wasn't spectacular enough to make up for the other inconsistencies to me. They really overscored her on Floor.
