My jaw dropped at her floaty layout on Beam and her triple and Gomez on FX. UB prowess I always expect from the Chinese and being a taller girl makes her look more elegant. Became a new fan.
@@katekramer7679 First off, she’s only 21 so that’s impossible for her to have been a part of two Olympic Games. Second, the members of the 2016 team were Shang Chunsong, Fan Yilin, Tan Jiaxin, Mao Yi, and Wang Yan. You can tell by her landings and her confidence that she lacks experience in bigger meets. Nothing against her as a gymnast, just hopefully something that will improve by the games this summer.
@@katekramer7679 I don't think she was at the olympics unless she was part of another smaller country. I don't remember seeing her there. She does look like a woman though which is an unexpected pleasant surprise from China. I'm happy to see her doing well and I hope she make's this year's olympic team!
She downgrade her vault here. She did tsuk double full on podium training. I just want her to upgrade on floor a little more. Maybe 1 1/2 twist + triple twist.
They construct a high scoring routine and vary a skill or two depending on the gymnast. Happened an awful lot when Mustafina won uneven bars gold in 2012. Everyone started to connect transitions after that to get the bonus points. It's easier to compare the gymnasts this way, but there definitely is no originality.
I think she is a beautiful and good atleth, but she isn’t a super specialist on individual apparatus, and the Chinese coordenator is looking for a specialist to win a medal at least on beam and floor and a good vaulter to help the team. I think she won’t do part of the chinese olympic team. In my opinion the team will be: Liu Tingting (the capitan) Li Shijia Ou Yushan (if she upgrades her vault for a DTY) Tang Xijing Qi qi? Very inconsistent is this competition (injury?) Individual: Fan Yilin and Guan Chenchen
She is very good all arrounder without a weak event. If Qi Qi Will go to the olympic, she can go as individual. I know that Guan Chen Chen is very good in balance beam. But Chinese have plenty like ou yushan, Li shijia, even tang xijing. Her program is really good in my opinion. With 5.6 vault, 6.2 UB, 6.0 + balance beam, and well excecuted 5.4 Floor(potential to upgrade into 5.6), she really in a good place become top 3 all arrounder. For now, my team is ou yushan( if she is consistent on the next two olympic trial), Li shijia(success on her upgrade on bars, a bit inconsistent), Tang Xijing(most consistent), and Lu yuvei. Lu fufei is perfect to replace Qi Qi place. She have really good floor and vault. And she is better all arrounder. Qi Qi need her amaanar to be on the team. My line up is: Vault: Lu yufei, Li shijia, Tang Xijing/ou yushan Bars : Lu Yufei, Tang Xijing, Ou yushan/Li shijia Beam: ou yushan, Li shijia, Tang Xijing Floor: Ou yushan, Lu Yufei, Tang Xijing In my opinion, this is very good line up. Vault can score 43+, vault can score 42+. Qi Qi can go as individual in my opinion
Did Guan chenchen already guarantee her individual spot? I feel like Qi Qi would be more deserving of it if she gets her full difficulty back, since she’s more consistent and her vault and floor work is exactly what the Chinese team are weak at
@@mht4908 Guan chenchen don’t have the indovidual spot to compete, but the chinese team has one spot. I think it will give for Guan Chenchen because her beam is very strong, even with a fall she can qualifier for the finals.
@@MahmudinMahmudin Qi Qi is a especialist on vault and floor, but i think she don’t have a chance to win a medal on these two apparatus. Guan chenchen has a real chance to win a medal. I think the chinese team will choise for the individual spot a super specialist with a real chance to win a medal
@@mht4908 Qi Qi only have 5.7 floor at best. Lu Yufei have 5.4 and potential upgrade to 5.6. i think lu Yufei is more clean on floor than Qi Qi. She have a good chest position on the landing while Qi Qi always chest down on her silica and double back. i think it is depend on what vault Qi Qi and lu Yufei Will bring. Qi qi's baitova and lu Yufei DTT Will likely score the same. If she really can bring her amanar, she is on the lock for the team.
Honestly, she has better bars than most of her teammates . Tbh the chinese have lacked on bars this quad and last quad aside from standouts like fan yilin
@@kishmishkashmiri no. She is on the same level with other top bar Chinese like Li shijia, Tang xiijing, wei Xiaoyuan, Liu Ting Ting, ou yushan, etc. I think she have to clean up a little bit especially on her pirouette. She has many leg separation too
It’s because I’d you do more than one tumbling pass starting off of one leg, it’s a deduction. You can see she stands in the corner on two feet every pass so she uses the leg kick/jump to avoid the deduction.
I don't know but she seems like another Chinese who does well in Nationals and Trials then gets picked for Olympic team and then crumbles and performs badly in the qualifications.
