Can you imagine being the only woman on Earth to make that jump, imagine the feeling. Outstanding She's 22 year old and the record was unbeaten for 37 years. This is huge
@@loneranger1995 Even then, this doesnt remove the feat of her achivement, and shes from ukraine, it's not like in ukrain life is peacful the past 5 years..
Bravo à cette immense athlète !! Je suis très heureux et content de voir l’engouement mais aussi l’enthousiasme des autres concurrentes ! Un modèle de respect pour une immense championne . Chapeau mesdames !
Her fellow high jumpers celebrating the record was so beautiful. They were all so happy 🥲 Congratulations Yaroslava! I hope you get gold at the Olympics!!
Happy for her, yes, but let's not forget that many of them did really well in this competition, setting PBs and national records. This was a very strong and very competitive field, with Mahuchikh in a league of her own...
OMG 2.10! 36-year old record broken! I am overjoyed for her and all the Ukrainians! 'Been following her progress ever since her silver in World Championships in Doha when she was just a teen. Very well deserved. Congrats from Texas!
3:38 She goes to get her Ukraine pin. Got a lump in my throat. God bless that young woman and her, poor, ravaged country. She jumps for them, for their glory.👏👏👏👏💙💛
Technically, She is jumping for the U.S. because Ukraine is now owned by the U.S. . . With billions of OUR tax dollars going to Ukraine, Ukraine should be state number 52 right behind Puerto Rico
Yaroslava is truly wonderful. What strikes me is the support from the other competitors. Reminds me of the pole vault guys embracing Duplantis whenever he sets a world record. It really is a beautiful thing....
The most interesting thing about this clip is how her fellow contestants pay tribute to her and how touched they are. It is beautiful to see. They more than anyone understand what this costs. They understand what an enormous feat it is to break a 37-year-old record.
I've several times watched the segments of each of them so moved, smiling, hugging and even being overjoyed to tears. Her coach also can be seen in one of the replays jumping up and down so excited.
Thank you for posting this footage! Great to see so much before and after the jump and in such high quality, amazing!! I'll be watching this over and over! Yaroslava is the best!
Untouchable by any other competitor. She can still lose on a bad day but no one can touch a record that only she can break. The HUGE difference between her and the other competitors must be very disheartening to them. Knowing that you're competing for the silver from the start (unless she has a baaaad day) has a major effect on their brains. Yaroslava...Queen of the High Jump. Most excellent.
@@Alexeew Russia is a terrorist state, and is excluded from the civilized world. Russians who don't like that should either resist the Putin regime, or leave Russia.
Все выступления Ярославы были пророчески с моей стороны, только 2,10... и это произошло!!! Здоровья и удачи на Олимпиаде, милая девушка с результатом 2,12...❤❤❤
Her competitors so gracious, that's how you celebrate a champion. What a climb from Rome, everything we expected from her. Nothing like a champion demonstrating their full gift potential. Olympics are going to be the best in Paris. Athletics is going to reign.
@@davidherene6365 2:32 is the timestamp you're looking for- the words in the bottom left next to her jump. Or the title of the video. Or Wikipedia. Or any point after that where they abbreviate those words to WR. If you're still confused, I don't think there's much we can do for you
I swear I commented on one of the high jump videos a couple of years ago that Mahuchikh is the one who can finally break the world record. And now here she is. An absolute joy!
Very rarely do you get to see someone dedicate their life to something and then perform better than anyone ever has at it. A truly special moment. Congratulations Yaroslava.
Same level of what? Lmao Usain broke the WORLD RECORD, she broke the WOMENS world record. She wouldn't even CLASSIFY in the mens category. How tf this is the same level of awesomeness when theres men jumping way higher than her lol.
Watched this on a 60 in screen in slow motion just to scrutinize the movement . Its phenomenal. The swiftness and grace of gazelle. 💛🧡🧡💛 Cant wait to see what amazing things she does at rhe Olympics. So much amazement and joy we get ro witness here.!!!! Yaroslava 2024 for the 🥇
I’ve watched this over and over again this beauty of a lass break the world record with so much confidence in herself coupled with the kind of humility which can be a lesson to the athletic world … best part is she has many more years to break her own record and judging from her clearance I bet she will achieve this … cheers to you Miss World Champion and Miss All Time Greatest female jumper … this record may stand her lifetime 👍👍👍
Never mind all the warm hugs with her competitors, it was amazing in the slow motion replay to see them jumping and raising their arms to celebrate her world record - 04:23.
@@Michael-presents It's not. "Sexism is linked to beliefs around the fundamental nature of women and men and the roles they should play in society. Sexist assumptions about women and men, which manifest themselves as gender stereotypes, can rank one gender as superior to another. Such hierarchical thinking can be conscious and hostile, or it can be unconscious, manifesting itself as unconscious bias. Sexism can touch everyone, but women are particularly affected." So, calling someone stunning is simply an expression of personal taste.
@@philipgregorysougles1744 I reckon that’s a large part of the reason she did it. She said in an interview that after 2.07 she just felt good and thought she’d go for it.
