I’ve been on carnivore, and let me tell you.. I stopped getting hives every night, I’m waking up early fully energized, my strength and endurance when it comes to anything physical is off the wall, my sleep is better, my depression is diminishing, no more crashing after I eat, the list goes on. I didn’t believe it until I tried it. Do it for 90 days and I bet his interview and perspective will change.

Low-carb diets do not reverse insulin resistance they simply get around the problem example, if every time I cut my kitchen sink on the water spout it out crazy everywhere all over the floor and walls that I decide to cut it off and use the bathroom sink did that fix the problem or get around it

Saturated fat has been shown to contribute to insulin resistance, a animal food based low carb diet could still improve diabetes by weight loss achieved by caloric restriction and lowering of blood sugar levels by carbohydrate restriction, with nothing to raise your blood sugar your A1C therefore reduces but this however does not fix or address the root of the problem unless the root of the problem was just being overweight.

I had another look at this; this guy is recommending a low-card diet, and eating those veggies he points out is what people should be eating; He does seem to lack understanding of the physiology of the body and nutrition because if a person eats any diet they need to know how to get the nutrition. And it is possible to do. A keto diet helps to lose weight when people eat 30gm or less a day, not 30%as he says

When I eat just straight eggs and steak with salt and only drink water and coffee I feel like I am invincible every thing wrong with me feels better but I eventually get cravings and eat sugar. Whether your carnivore , keto , vegetarian or vegan as long as you stay away from processed food ,alcohol and sugar you’ll be better then most. I think fruit is ok I stay away because it leads me to candy and cake but fruit is supposed to be our candy we been manipulated into eating poison and a drug

Total nonsense. Nobody is forced to eat anything they don't want to eat. I am 54, play beach volleyball with people in their 20s and 30s and I eat anything I want. I've never been on any medication, never go to the doctor. People need to start taking personal responsibility for their lives. I can eat ice cream, donuts, candy, cakes - I do drink too much, I admit it. Usually 6 to 10 drinks per night. Still, under 10% bodyfat with perfect blood work.

I think I agree with u.. I am so confused though. I lost 75 pounds when I was in my early 20’s by a lower fat diet, eating fruit and veggies and chicken and egg whites grains.. now? I hear I gained some of it back by the time I was 40 because it was the carbs that make u gain.. and I had a hysterectomy, so no hormones now at 54 I exercise and lift weights.. I am only 5 ft 1, I gained now a bit OVER half weight I had lost.. but I then tried the keto, I gained. 5 pounds, then I thought what did I do wrong? So I basically would eat whatever I thought was lower calorie.. still no weight loss but I didn’t gain more.. but then tried again a low carb diet thinking I must have done it wrong and I want to fix my arthritis. I heard lower carb will help that. I did three weeks low carb to keto, and my hands hurt, joints hurt, got a keto mojo monitor. Was in low ketosis but not all the time, seemed no matter what I ate, my glucose went up higher than 15 points from a baseline of my fasted state of glucose. And so my ketones would go down.. it was frustrating! So I couldn’t stay in a ketosis state and no I had no carbs hardly at all I tracked my food in a food diary and it was low as 20 grams a day. I checked my weight I went from 150 to 154 in 3 weeks! I am now at a loss. I think maybe my body just can’t do it. But maybe I should try the lower fat option again. Either one of these diets seem to cut the calorie intake

If you are diabetic or pre-diabetic you have to restrict carbohydrates. What I don’t like about You-Tube is they post a 1 min blip and think they are helping people as if everyone diet needs are the same which is not truer. More harm is being done than good. Don’t be stupid people.

I think everybody is different! I reversed Insulin resistance and my Hormon imbalance with low carb! And lost over 190lbs with it! I was never able to loose weight so easily and feeling good with it! I never Hunger! And I also lowered my blood pressure too

I slightly disagree with you. We are not all different. Some who are allergic to certain things makes you different. But overall, we are all human beings. We all have the same metabolic system, and the same organs. Very few people have a problem with carnivore diet or keto.. Most people who have a problem with those diets are usually not getting enough fat or don't drink enough water to regulate the meat consumption

i did strict whole food plant based... worst diet of my life.. felt so bad.. most impractical diet also. Had to eat so much food to sustain myself I couldnt process the sheer amount of food. Carnivore actually reversed the gut damage caused by his diet.

I went keto. Dropped to my fighting weight. Was trim and healthy. Heart palpitations went away. Muscles grew larger. We fell on hard times. I made a sacrifice of diet. Got back on some sugary products, went up to 240 at 5’10 and 30-35 years old. 240 lbs with a Resting heart rate 57 More energy than I’ve ever had Stronger muscles than I’ve had More flexibility than anyone else my age No health issues AT ALL No palpitations. I blame keto. I cleaned my body up so nicely with the autophagy that I have no problems now even while back on the carbs. Look up how A1C works Look up Glycated Hemoglobins That’ll teach you about the plague in the veins which are clearly caused by carbs. Eating vegetables sounds nice. But it’s also impossible to stop from eating more. And I didn’t hear you mention meat which has so many important nutrients for us which give us basic functions like hormone delivery that we don’t get without the saturated fat and cholesterol of animal meats. This is also why vegans tend to look really young developmentally and why the only vegans who live longer than 15 years are the ones who cheat on their diet regularly. Don’t get me wrong. Vegetables are vitally important for your health as well. On Keto, I had 5 oz of meat a day, and everything else I ate was vegetables. They just weren’t carbohydrate dense vegetables. This video is posing a “make sense” argument. Unfortunately, scientifically, it’s quite lacking. Feels like a cult or religion. Some belief is clearly involved here to make the system feel right.

I just looked up the nutritarian diet. It looks like it’s basically the healthier version of vegan, because it does not starve your body of LDL (a vitally important transport enzyme) by allowing you some meat, cheese, eggs, fish, etc. Yeah, vegan doesn’t work scientifically if you want to be healthy, it’s still healthier than the typical American diet but it’s still “D tier” you can actually be healthier eating pizza and cookies with moderate exercise and proper balance, than to use the vegan diet. But this diet has LDL production so it’s survivable. And if you hate eating fat (which can be extremely healthy for you) then I can see the utility here. But you were just slandering keto and low glycemic. You have no scientific evidence that eating less bread and potatoes is as bad for you as smoking cigarettes. There was one failed study from China which suggested that 20 years ago with 7 patients and no control group. Which means it’s not a study, it’s just a few people journaling collectively. Like I said. For 2 years my calories were 60% fat, 35% protein, and less than 5% carbs. My vision is better. My muscles grew larger. My fat dropped off. More flexible. Increased sight. Increased cognition. Increased focus. Heart palpitations vanished. Heart rate at 57. Increased reaction time. It’s a lot different from Cocaine, cigarette, or amphetamine abuse. The fact you said that threw away all your credibility.

You don't need meat. Eats beans, potatoes, then sweet or white potatoes, nuts and seeds. These can replace your meat. This plant based, no meat or dairy diet is approved by the American dietetic association which means it's healthy.

@@thinkinoutloud.1 i was out in the mountains mining for 6 days. On day 4 my body was falling apart. Walnuts, lettuce and apples were my staples. I got a chunk of cheese. 4 oz. My whole body healed immediately. I was able to go out and continue mining for another 4 hours. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You just know that beans and lentils have protein. You haven’t looked up the bioavailability rates which allow to synthesize to you. You haven’t looked up what LDL does for you that’s positive. You haven’t looked up that animal fats and cholesterol give your body the ability to transport hormones. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You just have an opinion. Also. Maybe you don’t need those higher synthesis rates or hormonal transport systems in your life because you don’t need full brain or body function. You may be privelaged enough to be able to sit around and have others care for you or a system of grocery stores which can take care of your malnourished self. But some of us need to function on a level of actual productivity in order to keep you alive. You don’t know what you’re talking about. And i forgive you for it.

Some official sources recommend drinking soda because it’s just as hydrating as water. Just because an “official source” says something does not make it true, though with lowered synthesis rates and less hormonal activity it’s not unreasonable for you to rely on people you assume to be smarter than yourself.

Because it’s the land of milk and honey….. duh The history of humans is the history of pastoral peoples. The reason humans should breast feed from another animal is, obviously, because those animals take inedible and or poisonous grasses and other useless plants and turn it into the healthiest and most bioavailable/digestible nutrient dense food on the face of the earth. The are basically designed to be walking food factories for (a subset) of humans. What a bloody miracle! Look at the Weston price study that looked all over the world for people that were healthy and free of dental problems. It basically shows this conclusion to be true as far as I have found. I think the only way you can ask a question like that is to be so far removed from traditional and subsistence living, which by the way, most of human history was, that it’s not even funny. 😂 Another way to phrase this question, that may be more illuminating, is this; why would humans, with the availability of perfectly healthy and digestible animal foods eat foods that are less healthy and partially poisonous preferentially? And who says keto restricts vegetables and fruits? I’m on keto, eat 10 cups of veggies a day, eat berries and have no problem whatsoever. Of course I don’t plan to be on it for the rest of my life, but nothing else worked for my hormonal imbalance, swelling, stubborn fat after last pregnancy and weird clot-like symptoms in my legs. One month of keto everything disappeared, i don’t feel tired after every meal but energized, so my insulin resistance has improved. And I’m losing the stubborn fat which was impossible to lose due to my estrogen dominance.

I eat red meat clean fish poultry and lamb. I also have asparagus and an occasional vegetable. I drink plenty of water get my electrolytes. Red meat provides me with all the amino acids that I need without having to take supplements.oh yes lots of fats in my diet..Both via meat. Avocados and grass fed butter...extra vigin olive oil.

Meat is high in saturated fat and heme iron, which are strongly linked to heart disease. The protein overload in keto is carcinogenic. So no, it is not good.

I’ve been on keto for three years. All my blood markers are fabulous. I’ve lost a ton of weight and I’m at a point where I can maintain where I wanted to be. I eat a boatload of veggies and I try to stay somewhere in between 20 and 50 g of carbs. You need meat for more essential vitamins . carbs are not essential…. Period.

How about all the people who gain weight eating low glycemic Veggies and fruit? Not everyone is the same. Some have a need for less carb, adequate protein & fat. These are not fad diets, just starting points for people to find their own beneficial way of eating that works for their own unique metabolism. I’m thankful that we have so much more information now:)

I’ve been on carnivore for 2 months. I feel great. Have more energy. I workout daily and my workouts are going great. Running 4 miles in 31 minutes and 23 seconds every other day. And a full body workout on the days I’m not running. Which includes a variety of exercises including pull-ups, squats, push-ups, weighted sit ups, bicep curls, tricep extensions, and other exercises. Starting to notice abs and adding more muscle. If you want to tell me I’m less healthy than one of those soy boy vegans I would have to disagree.

Problem is with the studies of the so called blue zones is that while they do eat a good proportion of their diet as vegetables everyone forgets the other significant factors of low portion sizes, active lifestyles, no smoking and drinking, and low sugar consumption.

Well this didn’t help. So many opinions on whats good and whats not good. I was told to cut carbs because i was borderline pre diabetic and had high triglycerides. My doc said lower carbs, portion my plate 1/4 protein, 1/4 carb, and 1/2 plate of greens. But then i run into videos on RU-vid about other docs saying not to cut carbs out

I was facing pure hell because of insulin resistance felt like some thick grees was running through my body...since I cut my carbs down to 40% the difference is like day and night...no headache no feeling of heavyness no sharp insulin spikes ( I replaced white rice with brown rice )..I have more energy now....I use to be frekin tired to the point I use to cry sitting in my bed not knowing what's happening to me n what should I do about it...then I found out it's the sugar n carbs...trust me this is coming from some one who went to absolute hell but now I feel normal n able to feel like myself again...do not ! do not ! eat more carbs n keep processed refined sugars to minimum then see for yourself the magic...I have no idea what this dude is talking about n why he is saying what he is saying..
