When adding water to the reservoir the plastic ring around the water bottle fell into the reservoir. Afraid could damage the oven, cause a fire, or leak plastic into my food. Thanks!

in lieu of pulling the steak out early (it will get cold by the time the potatoes come out) put the steak in after you start the potatoes :)

Extra time was for cooling after oven time at least on the latest ones that what it says. Putting meats on the right next closer to the heat is better too.

That's good advice! I've always noticed the trays I place on the right usually get a nice little extra char on them (say with Brussel sprouts or some fish or pasta) I think I'll actually do a test with a thermal gun (infrared) to check what side of the oven get warmer soon! I’ve ordered 2 of the steaks and they were not good steaks. I could live with the over cooking of the steak but both were cheap cuts with a lot of gristle. I could go to Sizzler and get a better steak for half the price.

Rob, I must say I love my Tovala! As for your opinion on the steaks: 1. Sadly, I 100% agree 2. I do not care for the cut or quality 3. I definitely have not and will not purchase the steak meals going forward!

Dude, nice review. I'm pretty sold on a Tovala but I appreciate your honesty about the done-ness of the meat. I definitely won't order the steak until I can get it medium-rare. Again, nice vid...or shall I say "well done"

Awesome Guenevere! I got my second Tovala steak this week and am definitely looking forward to cooking it up and seeing if pulling it out of the oven a couple of minutes sooner will do the trick! Who knows, might even make a follow-up video?! Be sure to let me know what you think after you try it!

The steaks are shit. I did my third one, I am done. Not worth it. Don't believe this yountuber. Don't take my word for it. Check with the tovala facebook group and no one in the group thinks it's worth it.

@@alucard2010 Thanks so much for watching my video and the feedback. Well, I'm not quite sure if you actually watched it, since as you can see, it clearly didn't come out good on this round of taste testing it. Flavor profile for the seasoning and sides has always been good, but I agree the steaks are NOT my favorite. Check my list of videos. We did a Round two taste test a few weeks after this video to see if I was any better. Watch the video and see... it actually came out good the second round (and the loaded mashed potatoes were an awesome pairing.) Also, just so you know, I continue to get 10 to 12 Tovala meals every week and personally, I've been skipping over the steak options almost every week after my two trials. The other premium options I tested include the shrimp paella (which was really good) and the lemon cod dish (which was horrible). So hey... it's hit-and-miss. Eat what you like, don't what you don't.

I got the "Trout Almondine" upgraded meal this week and it's the first one I tried Excellent dijon mustard/maple sauce for the side (quinoa/spinach/currants w/capers garnish) dish beutifaly paired with the dijon and almond crusted steelhead trout fillet which came out like a perfectly cooked salmon in look, texture and taste ( I am almost convinced I may have been sent salmon instead of trout-NOT complaining at all...) YUM and worth it!

Autumn! I just got 3 of those delivered yesterday and decied to have one for lunch today! OMG!! It was ammmmazing!!!! I wasn't sure how all those flavors would come together, but WOW!

I was pretty disappointed with mine. Tons of bones in the fish, and the sweet potatoes had dark brown spots in them (prior to cooking)

My steak was not as good as the pork chop. But it was about a 8 it tasted great but just a little tough to me.

Thank you for your review. I can tell that the steak in this video is not good quality. I usually buy New York glass feed rib-eye steak from Sprout and grilled at home. It is the best one I ever eat. I am subscribing on 4 home delivery meal service, my favorite on food quality is Green Chef, but it requires so much time to cook. 1-2 hours for me at least. I have not receive my Tovala yet. I think each company has their strengths and weaknesses. I will switch and choose and make my choice, having fun eating along the way.

Liked your review with the exception of the steak. I prefer medium well. It's a matter of individual preference. The oven should you to choose your preference.

Ramona! I actually like my steaks medium well too (I usually don't declare so in public for fear of crucifixion from the steak purists lol). To be honest, I love love love my Tovala and get 8 to 12 meals delivered every week. I usually skip the steak options nowadays. Thanks for watching and commenting! 17 bucks for a 6 ounce sirloin and some potatoes?? I was considering this, however, not now. Making a steak, alongnwith your own sauce takes 9 Minutes. My god. Definitely not buying now.

I disagree with your designed to be healthy. Why don’t you start telling people how much sodium is in each meal. You always skip telling them about the salt content. I have a Tovala too and I have seriously skipped some of their meal choices because of the amount of sodium in some dishes. Please start mentioning the amount of salt and not just the fat, protein, and carbs.
