Einstein's puzzle famously/presumably created by Albert Einstein as a boy should help you get going in terms of your CAT 24 preparation. Einstein's puzzle will expect you to know the basics of logical reasoning and matrix arrangements before you attempt more difficult puzzle types. In this video, Shashank Prabhu, CAT 100%iler, takes on the classic Einstein's puzzle and makes it easy for you to understand the steps leading to the solution.
The data points in the puzzle are:
There are five houses. The Englishman lives in the red house. The Spaniard owns the dog. Coffee is drunk in the green house. The Ukrainian drinks tea. The green house is immediately to the right of the ivory house. The Old Gold smoker owns snails. Kools are smoked in the yellow house. Milk is drunk in the middle house. The Norwegian lives in the first house. The man who smokes Chesterfields lives in the house next to the man with the fox. Kools are smoked in the house next to the house where the horse is kept. The Lucky Strike smoker drinks orange juice. The Japanese smokes Parliaments. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The questions are:
1. Who drinks water?
2. Who owns the zebra?

I don't know but somehow I have managed to figured it out in one go....and solved it under one hour...It's very similar to what the CAT asks. by the way your content on strategy to choose correct passage is very helpful...

We as a family with my grandchildren took up the challenge of solving the Einstein Puzzle. We did it manually with the help of paper and pen and we Ishan,Ishita and myself solved it in an hour. Let more such puzzles be loaded and best luck to Point99 in your future endeavours.

It’s slightly beyond the level of the CAT to be honest given the number of parameters. You just need to be ready to make multiple cases and eliminate them. But I’m glad you tried it and hope that you will get better over the next few days.

You can check out Brainbashers for some puzzles and teasers. The great book of puzzles by George Summers also has a lot of arrangement based puzzles. You can also check Cracking the Cryptic channel for tough and offbeat Sudoku variants.
