It's a super secret project. More details coming soon!
This advice is simple, but not easy. It's not the sexiest, flashiest and most attention-grabbing advice and is almost ALWAYS edited out of every project/interview I've ever done. But here it is. Did you know this?👇👇👇All the info down below 👇👇👇 Does this sound doable for you? Why/why not? I think this is pretty hard to do, if you really think about it. I definitely struggle with it in any task - how to balance reflection, presence and anticipation right here, right now.

Hello, I am Korean and a fan of yours. A few years ago, I watched the show and thought you were a wonderful person. Thanks to yanjaa, I learned about memory and I'm practicing to participate in next year's memory contest. The question is whether you use PAO or PA when you memorize cards or numbers. I'd really, really appreciate your answer.

Great video Yanjaa. I'm naturally lazy but have great work ethic. I push-pull work ethic with goals and rewards. For example, I set a goal of passing a certification exam. So I schedule two chapters to study per day. Then I schedule the exam so I can't back out. My reward for passing my last exam was a beer and a round of golf. It was glorious!

Hi Yanjaa! Could you please make a video about PAO system or three digit system? Wich method do you use for memorize tons of numbers? How do you make interactions between images and loci? I’m a beginner memory athlete but I want to be better at numbers 😃 80 numbers in 56 seconds for now ! Kisses and thanks for your videos!

thanks for the video. Is there a memory game for beginners kinda like that remembering faces game you played but more for "entry" level. I have learning disabilities and find it hard to remember most things, but i find it easy to remember random things nobody cares about lol

I wish i could put myself shortly .... I had been interested in the issue of memory training for quite some time, but havent passed much further the barrier that dispells these meysteries of sheer unexplainable coginitive abilities. my main disencouraging problem is , (after the lack of discipline of course ) is how to apply these skills A. efficiently and B.in the long term aspect of an academic environment. In my case I successfully used a memory palace to absorb some hundred pages of university script in a few days. But now as time has passed, i might have forgotten a lot. Im wondering if it may be bad to reuse the same rooms for my memory palace for different incoming material. The long term memorization aspect and lack of rooms in the memory palace for instance; keeps me haunting... I am absolutely aware, a good memory approach cant substitute a deep understanding of a certain subject. Nevertheless there must be some guidelines or ideas I simply cant get a grasp of at the moment, that allow me to put an efficient memory approach to an long term use. Regardless if its maths, history or programming. What would you think about giving us a little insight, how you systematically approached learning to code or your university stuff? Keep going and all the best to you!

Remembering things emotionally is far easier. I think chronic pain also causes us to be distracted. Especially psychosomatic illnesses because our default mode network tend to be overactive (meaning, we aren't present and engaged with the moment). It's important to incorporate more anti-inflammatory foods like berries. I also found intermittent fasting really helped with my brain fog!

I can relate to this concern about how to teach people work ethics. Seems like many people just cannot commit to things for longer than two days if they are not yet sure whether they are interested.

Hello Yanjaa! What do you think about this girl’s memory feat? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LMgQ0eXIhzA.html (the performance starts at 2:35) In this tv program, she was handed this book on Japanese celebrities and each page has 12 people about their name, birthday, hobby, and high school they graduated from. She memorised a whole page in just 8.2 seconds and when asked to recite it, she only made one mistake. I know how memory athletes can memorise a deck of cards in around 12 seconds and crazy amount of numbers but this memory feat always fascinated me since years ago when I first saw this. Maybe the reason she’s so fast memorising numbers is partly because she won the math olympics a few times. Do you think other memory athletes could do this type of stuff? (Say the book was in English or whatever language it be)
@Yanjaa
@Yanjaa 4 года назад
Thanks for the idea! I'm making a video right now about what I think about other memory feats/coaches in general. If enough people really want me to give an honest review of a specific person/video I might do it.

Hi Yanjaa, I'd really like to get your opinion on self awareness, the free will, whatever it's called - basically putting your subconcious on a leash and tell it to obey you. Something that's being discussed more and more in the society - look at Joe Bonanza, Maharishi, David Lynch, and so on. Also, what meditation do you practice? Thanks! :)

What do you do with brain spew. For example, I can come up with (what I believe is) a great idea / thought / concept or even recalling a dream and when I try to write it down I can write (or even type) at a certain speed, but the stuff coming out of my brain is coming out at a rate 100 times faster. Even if I try to audio record it. My mind is quickly 5 ideas ahead of the current one I am recording and wires get crossed and I end up recording about 10% of the thought.

Hello Yanjaa, how are you? I would like to ask you about techniques to memorize new words in a different language, I'm studying Tibetan right now, but the words just don't remind me of anything that I can use to create images, are there any exercises I can do to make it easier and faster? Any tips? I would also like to ask you about how to memorize concepts for long term. How did you do that in college and how you managed to finish so quick? Thank you.

What do you suggest ? P.s: I can’t go to a psychologist and i have tried exercises and meditations, please help me because i want to study medicine but i am really afraid of this case that i will suffer a lot because of it and afraid of failing though i have the potential.
