I tried to use some free-motion quilting designs to make the jelly roll race quilt top look like a monster...I think it ended up looking more like an amoeba which can still be a monster in certain cases. I combined some modern-style feathers (I can't remember where I saw them first but I did not invent this design), pebbles, matchstick quilting, and blunt concentric spirals to complete this quilting.
If you want to watch the long version of this video where the entire thing is in real-time, you can find that video here:

Another beautiful outcome. Your ability to take advantage of the quilting pattern is impressive. The solid backing really shows off your work.

This is fireside backing. It is hands down my favourite backing fabric to work with. Thanks so much for commenting.

You are a master of large scale, not always easy to quilt big / huge feathers, circles, spirals etc. I love the different angles you've set filming at. As for the monster im sure Sigoni Weaver would be afraid! 😅👽👾

Why do you sew with one hand on the fabric and the other on handle?

I'm not sure why I started quilting this way, but now I do a lot of ruler quilting, and being able to control the machine with one hand really made ruler quilting easier to learn.
